You’re invited to a fundraiser for the Andrew Thomas for Attorney General campaign

ABOUT ANDREW THOMAS

During Thomas’ time in office, crime rates plummeted.  The 19 percent drop is more than twice the national rate of decline, in despite of an 11 percent increase in the county’s population during that time. The illegal immigrant population has dropped by anywhere from 18 percent (Dept. of Homeland Security estimate) to 30 percent (Center for Immigration Studies estimate). Like the fall in crime rates, this dramatic decline in illegal immigration is far greater than the average in the rest of the nation.
Thomas is married with four children. He is a graduate of Harvard Law School. Prior to serving as Maricopa County Attorney, Thomas served as an assistant attorney general for Arizona, deputy counsel and criminal justice policy advisor to the Governor, special assistant to the Director of the Arizona Department of Corrections, and a deputy county attorney.

Comments

  1. Are clean elections candidates allowed to hold fund raisers?

  2. By the way does anyone else find it ironic that someone who claims to be a conservative is running on tax-payer money?

  3. Andy did a perfect job as County Attorney. I see no reason he won’t do the same as Attorney General. Andy is a real conservative , which I can’t say for his competitors. For him the transition from County to State Attorney is a piece of cake. He has my vote.

  4. 20/30 GOP says

The host committee, minus the exception of the Sheriff and Rep. Kavanagh, is laughable.

  5. Don’t worry 20/20 the host committee for any fund raiser for Tom Horne will be headed by Mac Magruder and Glenn Hammer and probably emceed by Don Stapely and Molly/Lisa Ann!

You should feel right at home

  6. The folks behind this event are those who created and stood tall for S.B.1070.

They will be opposed and riducled by those who profit, or more to the point, are paid by those who profit from non enforcement of immigration law.

    That’s the “bottom line”

Those with principle should recognize it!

  7. Clean Elections candidates can raise a certain amount of “seed” money outside the $5 contributions.

Charles @ #2: when you do your taxes, do you use the deductions afforded to you? Do you take advantage of every credit, whether you believe the credit is good policy or not? Do your kids go to public school? Do you go to Diamondbacks or Cardinals games? Ever go to a public park? Take a bus? Yep, conservatives do all those things, even if they may disagree with the principle of the taxpayer-funded subsidy. Sometimes they even run for public office with public money. Oh, the horror.

  8. PHX Conservative says

Andrew Thomas, Fake Conservative Rhetoric. He continues to waste our money. What a shame.

  9. Stephen Kohut says

Tom Horne, failed head of public education looking to be Peter Principled upward to AG.

  10. Pogo,

A conservative receiving clean election funds is more like a conservative receiving welfare. Your examples are invalid.

  11. I have attended some tea party events and never saw racism. Of course, Parker wouldn’t know racism if it jumped up and bit him on the ass accoding to the coalition of minority employees at the USDA:

  12. Actually Phx “Conservative” is ticked off by the fact that Thomas is “wasting money” by enforcing laws!

Too many alleged “conservatives” are making money by non-immigration law enforcement!

And then they bitch about taxpayer money going to a prosecutor when they cause the average taxpayer to be fleeced for illegal benefits!

These clowns aren’t just hypocrites, they’re “whitened sepulchres”!

  13. Hey Charles a lot of conservatives are receiving welfare. Those that work for think tanks like Goldwater or the Heritage Fund work for entities that have a special tax-exempt status that does not apply to the rest of us. How about religious orders? They have lots of conservatives and, gasp, they are part of the “welfare” state that exempts them from taxes on their income. If you go to a state university or send your kids to public school — pop, you’re receiving welfare! Clean Elections funding is just one of a great many forms of welfare that are used and almost always abused. The exception, however, does not make the rule. Name your favorite conservative alive today and I’ll show you where he’s receiving welfare. (Has to be someone not too obscure and an American).

  14. I personally believe that Andrew Thomas is evil, he has no good intentions what so ever to benefit our State. What a waste of time and money for the folks that are going to have a fundraiser for him- they should be a little more wiser where they spend there money- I would suggest them to view http://www.electtomhorne.com and be smart, and be selective and put their monies to a postive canidate and one whom is going to be our next Attorney General— YEAH TOM HORNE— YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!! YOU BLEW ANDY AWAY IN THE CAPITOL TIMES VOTING POLL- JUST LIKE YOU ARE GOING TO DO IN THE ELECTION— GO TOM HORNE– FOLKS ANDY THOMAS IS BEING INVESTIGATED BY THE FBI— NOT A GOOD SELECTIION- BE SMART AND DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON CONTRIBUTIONS FOR ANDY THOMAS- A PERSON WORKS HARD FOR THEIR MONEY- DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR EFFORTS- ANDY THOMAS IS A EVIL PERSON– TO be smart, to be selective, and to put your efforts into the right person, VOTE TOM HORNE FOR ATTORNEY GENERAL 2010———– Kelly S. Miles
