Two more Obama protests planned tomorrow

Bruce Jacobs from KFYI and Arizona Right to Life are both planning protests tomorrow for Obama’s Mesa visit. Bruce is asking protesters to show up with signs demanding what handouts they’d like.

The AZ Right to Life protest is being organized by 40 Days for Life.

President to Make First Presidential Visit
to the Valley
Arizona Right to Life urges community members to assemble and demonstrate in support of innocent life

Phoenix, AZ -Arizona Right to Life urges you to seize this opportunity to publicly demonstrate your outrage over the President’s extreme anti-life positions, during his first Presidential visit to the Valley, this Wednesday, February 18, 2009. We strongly encourage you to assemble and display signs that decry his support of FOCA, his repeal of a ban on federal funding of abortions overseas, his selection of extreme pro-abortion cabinet members, his support of embryonic stem cell research and his categorical unwillingness to protect the most innocent of the human community, and to challenge him to a radical change of heart and mind.

Rarely do we have the opportunity to exercise our First Amendment Rights to speak freely and peacefully assemble, directly to the audience of the President, in our own community. We invite you to come together to impress upon him that Arizona stands for life, in an unignorable demonstration, unforgettably and overwhelmingly characterized by unwavering courage to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Doors open to the ticketed public at 8:30 am on February 18th. The President is expected to speak at 10:15 am. Dobson High School is located at 1501 W Guadalupe Rd, Mesa, AZ 85202.

  1. Ha, nice deletion on your retarded post. Fortunately, it’s archived.

  2. Methinks Klute misses a point here… the blogosphere of which SA is a part actually corrected a mistake. This is not something you would see the MSM doing were the situation reversed.

  3. Actually, no, we haven’t seen a mistake corrected. We see something presented as fact now changed to something presented as a question.

A question, I might add, that is being asked because of the questioner’s misunderstanding of the word “revenue”, which is delightful, and actually explains a lot about the last eight years.

  4. show some respect says

How about we as Republicans do not lower are standards to the level of Democrats!!! I do not agree with anything Obama has done, however I do have respect for the office of the President. Act like a Republican Boycott this stupid protest.

  5. I have never held a picket sign or attended a protest. When I attend R events and see the protesters with their signs and banners, I will admit…. I think what morons. Don’t they know no one who attends this will give them a thought beyond my admitted snarky one? The blurb on the news is their only hope of legitimacy….

I always thought, respect the office.

But, now with a president who thumbs his nose at the rights of the unborn, the sovereignty of our nation, and is pushing us down the slippery slope toward the United Socialist States of America, I am a believer.

  6. We have the right to voice our opinion and protest, but lets do it respectfully. Lets not act like Democrats have for the last 8 years, full of rage, hatred and hyper-partisanship.

  7. Protest is a right under the 1st Amendment. It’s also important to note the sarcasm as an act of cathartic release. As times get tougher, these protests might be more concentrated. Times are tough and people need to rally behind their beliefs.

  8. Even though they won the last election, Democrats are still full of rage, hatred, and hyper-partisanship. They have always been that way, even when they are on top. Elections results have nothing to do with it.

Anger, hate, and envy are the things that keep their coalition together.

  9. There were about 400 anti-Arpaio protesters to about 150 anti-Obama protesters.

  10. Basil St. John says

I’m just glad that Republicans are never hyper-partisan, or hunting RINOs in their own midst, or anything like that.
