Streamlining the News

The East Valley Tribune website appears to be going through some changes. I’m not sure if these changes are permanent or dynamic but what I have noticed is that the graphics on the front page have gone to one color – red. Could this be part of cutting costs?

  1. Are you questioning whether red is cheaper than, say, blue?

  2. Theoretically and politically speaking “Red States” are more likely to have their budgets and tax burdens under control better than “Blue States.” Case in point: New York and Californa, both “Blue States” are in the worst condition compared to states like Texas and Utah.

But that’s beside the point of the post.

What I’m wondering is whether or not the new front page format of the East Valley Tribune is a result of budget cuts on the paper’s presence online?
