East Valley Political Heavyweight Backs Vernon Parker for Governor
Sanders is currently serving his second term as Queen Creek Mayor, having taken office in 2006. A 16 year resident of the town, Sanders’ additional accolades include serving on the Regional Council of Maricopa Association of Governments and representing the Town of Queen Creek with the Phx-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority.
Parker has also proven to be a fundraising powerhouse, having collected the maximum amount of seed money allowable for gubernatorial candidates in just 41 days.

“Vernon Parker is the best candidate to defeat Terry Goddard.” ??? Based on what? He doesn’t even receive more support than John Munger in any credible poll I have seen. The appointed mayor hasn’t even spelled out specific campaign proposals. He speaks in platitudes and seems more focused on telling peope of his disadvantaged background than clearly stating what he would cut from the budget in lieu of a sales tax increase.
Parker’s campaign is DOA. His rags to riches argument is elitist and without an actual plan he is just a puppet of his hired PR guy.
I don’t know Mayor Sanders that well but if Mayor Hugh Hallman is backing Vernon Parker for Governor then count me in. Terry Goddard would be a disaster for our state. We need a new solution from an outsider not another insider who currently is part of the problem. Vernon Parker is the best candidate to defeat Terry Goddard based on the fact that there is a grass roots movement to take our state back from the theives in State Government and return it to the people.
I learned on http://www.VBPGroup.com that it’s not the content of one’s character which matters most, it’s the measure of pigmentation in one’s skin which ought to determine successfully landing a government contract.
Appointed voluntary Mayor, not even of a ctiy mind you, but of Arizona’s tiniest town. Why didn’t he try running for an AZ House seat before taking aim at windmills? Parker obviously does not have the judgement to lead Arizona.
