For Immediate Release: Saturday, March 13, 2010

PHOENIX, Ariz. (March 9, 2010) … Pamela Gorman, candidate for Arizona’s 3rd Congressional District, has received the endorsement of the 500,000-member Concerned Women Political Action Committee based on her proven conservative leadership.

“On the issue of life, the traditional family and fiscal conservatism, Pamela Gorman’s record in the House of Representatives has been exemplary,” said Penny Nance, CEO of Concerned Women PAC. “Concerned Women Political Action Committee endorses Pamela Gorman for Congress because of her strong leadership in the state legislature. I am convinced Pamela will be a strong principled leader in the U.S. Congress.”

As a former state senator, Gorman took the lead in stopping one of the largest tax increases in Arizona history and worked to pass one of the largest tax cuts. She has opposed wasteful spending in both parties and is a committed defender of right-to-life values and the second amendment which earned her an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association.

The Anthem resident and mother of a teenaged son, Gorman is seeking the congressional seat currently held by John Shadegg who is retiring at the end of his term. “Receiving this important endorsement from one of the premier national organizations promoting Conservative candidates is a huge honor. But, to receive it in a crowded primary like mine, says a lot more,” she said. “I am grateful for the endorsement and humbled by their confidence in the work I will do when I get to Washington.”

Concerned Women PAC, established in 2002 by Founder and Chairman Beverly LaHaye, is affiliated with Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee, the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization with more than 500,000 grassroots members nationwide.

  1. West Valley GOP says

My taxes went up thanks to Pamela Gorman. And anytime you hear the phrase “I’m humbled” from Pamela Gorman, you know she’s just kidding.

  2. Hmmm, Gorman didn’t cause my taxes to go up, how did she exert that power over yours??

  3. Cola drinker says

She voted against the biggest tax cut in the state’s history. She refused to support the R budget that cut taxes and put the tax increase on the ballot where it will fail. There are a lot of choices to make in this primary, Gorman won’t survive.

  4. orwellian says

Uhhhh and exactly how is voting AGAINST a tax increase referral to the ballot increasing your taxes? Guess that ruins principle Sam Crump too, who’s also running, and Vernon Parker, who has come out against the sales tax increase. Let me guess, your a Waring guy, defending your guy who voted for the tax increase.

  5. Dan Quayle’s son didn’t raise anyone’s taxes (or ever do anything else politically other than be the son of a VP) and he is outpolling everyone but Waring.

It must be humbling for people like Gorman to kow tow to all of these interest groups and have it matter for crap. LOL!

  6. PC in LD6 says

I am stunned that there are still people out there that think those tax cuts would have EVER come to fruition, it’s just foolishness and shows that you really aren’t understanding the way things work. That would have the first things to go, long before all day K and other things that are in the process of being cut this very week.

I like Waring, too – nice guy, just don’t think he’s the best. As for Quayle, his poll numbers will be great until he starts talking, and you can only avoid that for so long 🙂

  7. Excellent Website! I was wondering if I would be able quote a portion of your website and use a couple of items for a school assignment. Please let me know through email whether or not that would be fine. Thanks
