Correcting the media (again)

We had some fun with the Tucson Weekly’s math ability and the Arizona Republic. Mary Jo Pitzl was even nice enough to leave a comment on our blog and update her story. Last we checked the Tucson Weekly still cannot count, or else cannot update a web page.

Now the Vail Sun indicates Jonathan Paton was appointed to the legislature. Not sure where that notion came from. Paton was first elected to the Arizona House of Representatives in 2004 with over 46,000 votes. Paton was reelected to the House in 2006. Wonder how long it will take the paper to correct the error, if they ever do.

Paton is slated to crush Georgette Valle in the contest to replace Tim Bee in the State Senate from District 30.

  1. Pitzl may have updated her story to reflect that Vic Williams was not running in LD30…but when she did she changed the spelling of the Democratic candidate from her original misspelling to a new misspelling. Two chances to get it right and she still blew it.

  2. Gowan and Antenori will crush Dalessandro.

  3. GOP Spartan says

The Tucson Weekly can’t count is probably more accurate.

  4. Isnt that what we spend our day doing, correcting the MSM.. did you see the -/+ ration on Palin stories is 18:1

  5. Every time i come here I am not dissapointed, nice post
