Congresswoman Giffords Marries Spaceman

Mark Kelly & Gabrielle Giffords

Congratulations to Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords on her marriage to NASA astronaut, Cmdr. Mark Kelly. The two were married at the Agua Linda organic farm in Amado, Arizona.

Guests included State Representative, Linda Lopez, former State Senator, Elaine Richardson and former Secretary of Labor, Robert Reich .

Apparently, there will be no honeymoon for the two as Kelly is training for an April mission and as Giffords asserted, “I’m facing a tough re-election year.”

U.S. Navy Commander Kelly resides in Texas and is registered as an independent with Ron Paul as his congressman.

Sonoran Alliance wishes the best to the happy couple.

  1. I am so glad she is out harm now. I had worked with Commander Mark Kelly at Kennedy Space Center on the Space Shuttles he even signed my motorcycle. He and his brother are great guys. So my prayers go out there whole family. (\O/)

  2. Dear Commander Kelly and Congresswoman Giffords,

First, Commander Kelly – Take care of yourself so that you may take care of your wife. Get rest and take some breaks. I read that you say your wife is a tough woman, so I am confident that she will heal. It may take a long time, or not; either way, be patient. Her needs come first right now, and you take care of your own needs for a break, rest, etc.

I will be praying for you both; for strength.

    Washington, D.C.

  4. Peter and Angie says

To Gabby, Mark and the family–We are all with you, all bewildered and deeply hurt by the brutality of such a senseless act of aggression against such a loving soul. So many are following Gabby’s progress everyday as if we were following the progress of one of our own family members. We dream of the day when Gabby is up and about again and finally among us once more. We love you; you are in our hearts. With endless love and compassion,

    Peter & Angie

  5. Uyen Duong says

I’m a Canadian but I just couldn’t help but feel a deep sorrow for you, your family, and the state of your country. It takes a special kind of person to be a politician in the US, and you’re a congresswoman no less. That speaks volume! I wish you all the best in your recovery. If only I could be more helpful.

  6. God Bless you both for your amazing strength! Gabby will pull through with you by her side. I pray that God give you lots of hope and strength to deal with the road to recovery, although you are in great spirits! You and your entire family are in my prayers!

  7. Carmen Rios says

I just wanted to wish you the best. I pray that your recovery will go well. God bless and even though I don’t know you I want to send you a big hug an kisses.

  8. Jan Sanchez says

God Bless you & your family Gabrielle. This should have NOT happened!! And, I agree with Leticia, we all know he did this evil thing, so WHY wait?? We are all saddened by this, but you seem like a very strong woman. All of us in California wish you the very best in life!

  9. Paula Tavrow says

I hope that Gabby’s life, work choice, and recovery will serve as a model for all women. We need more politicians like her–both women and men. I admire her husband and offer condolences to those who died or were maimed. May Gabby heal well enough to again represent the people of Arizona in the US congress.

  10. Dear Gaby and husband, I look it your wedding picture all the time, I love both of you as a wonderful couple, both of you are in my prayers. May God continue to give both of you some strange, and I know for sure Gaby will be all right because she got compassion for the poor seh is a woman of God. May God bless her and be with her.
