Arizona Hispanic Republicans Endorse Eve Nunez for LD12

Phoenix, AZ ? Arizona Hispanic Republicans are endorsing Eve Nunez for Arizona State Legislature ? District 12.  Eve Nunez has always been pro life, pro family and for strong public safety.  Nunez stands for less taxes and smaller government.
We believe that Eve Nunez will grow our conservative tent in LD 12.
According to the Adopted 2004 Legislative Plan, there are 170,821 people living in LD12 and  32% of that are Hispanics.  Approximately 38% of LD12 voters are registered as Democrats, while approximately 42% are registered Republicans and almost a whopping 20% are registered as Independent.
We believe that Eve Nunez will not only  win back the Hispanic Republican voting share we lost in 2008, but she will also have the ability to win over Latino registered Independents and Democrats. Eve Nunez  is the founder of the Arizona Latino Commission which gives her strong influence with 500 Latino evangelical leaders in the State of Arizona.  She has a very good relationship with Evangelical Phoenix-area leaders because of her years of community experience.
Eve Nunez won the National Service Award in 2003 through President George W. Bush, and she also received the Business Woman of the Year Award in 2004 from the RNC.  More recently, Eve received the Friend of Phoenix Award in 2006 by Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon, and she also received the Volunteer Service Award in 2007 from Governor Janet Napolitano.
We believe that Eve Nunez is the future of southwestern politics as our demographics continue to change in the State of Arizona at a rapid pace.  The Republican Party went through a rapid growth when the Evangelical community aligned themselves with the GOP Party. According to the PEW Research, ?The rising political clout of evangelical Christians is not the result of growth in their numbers but rather their increasing cohesiveness as a key element of the Republican Party.  (Pew Research Center (2004, December 5). Religion and the Presidential vote.  Retrieved February 1, 2010, from the Pew Research Center site: http://people-press.org/commentary/?analysisid=103).  We believe we can continue that cohesive trend within the Republican Party.
Somos Republicans endorses and supports Eve Nunez as she continues to work with the Evangelical community to strive towards bringing more of the Latino Evangelical faithful into the political realm.  We believe that through Eve, we will be able to win Independents, Democrats and grow our conservative tent and our ideals.

  1. West Valley GOP says

Somos Republicans is the group that endorsed this Democrat fraud, not “Arizona Hispanic Republicans”. Somos is a group of open-border, pro-Amnesty, pro-John McCain types who have recruited the 2008 DEMOCRAT nominee for State House to switch to Republican and run for State Senate. She is a serious candidate with a serious chance, so real Republicans beware.

  2. What ever happened to political parties being coalitions?

  3. West Valley GOP says

Happy to see a big tent, but the Republican Party as a coalition does not include actual Democrats. Republicans and Democrats stand for different things. If the Republican Party waters down its principles to match the Democrat Party so that the “tent can get bigger”, then what purpose would the Republican Party serve?

  4. Talk about a 44 magnum shot to the foot! Endorse a woman who was a Republican before she was a Democrat but is a Republican again…for now… and then expect to be seen a credible? Try again.

Steve Montenegro, a Hispanic R, is in the House for LD 12…is it this particular candidate they want or is Steve not their type of candidate? Or is Mr. Weiers they target?

I believe in the big tent, that more ideas make us stronger not weaker. But it is the coming together of those ideas that make a party. If the only interest is in having a Hispanic, rather than a qualified R, fill the seat….no thank you.

  5. Montenegro is not a real republican nor does he share the values of the Republican party. He’s a self promoter and the hispanic community, as a whole, does not promote him.

Eve Nunez is the choice of Hispanic evangelicals in Arizona. She shares their values and speaks for the people!
