Former State Rep Terri Proud endorses LD11 Team

Smith, Leach and Finchem endorsed by former State Representative Terri Proud

~ Proud will pass on 2014 race, backs conservative team ~

Former State Representative Terri Proud will not seek a State House seat in 2014 and is instead endorsing the conservative team of Steve Smith for State Senate, and Vince Leach and Mark Finchem for State House.

Proud was an award-winning conservative lawmaker who left office after building a strong conservative record on fiscal, social and constitutional issues.

Proud said her endorsement was based largely on the conservative team’s commitment to protecting Arizona taxpayers and getting government out of the way of Arizona businesses and families.

“I was honored to serve with Representative Proud,” said Steve Smith, “so her endorsement means a great deal to me.”

Leach and Finchem were also appreciative of Proud’s support, with Leach calling it “an awesome gift from an awesome lady” and Finchem referring to
it as “a conservative seal of approval.”

Rep Brenda Barton Applauds Recent Reversal in USFS Hunter RV Enforcement

Representative Brenda Barton (R – Payson) said that she was, “greatly pleased ” at the sudden change of heart by the United States Forest Service (USFS). “This is a wonderful example of how federal agencies can work with local communities to resolve issues like these.  It’s the holiday season and the Forest Service has finally gotten into the spirit. ”

The USFS has recently reversed its seemly sudden policy of restricting hunters to a 72-hour rule.  Instead, they have made it clear that sportsmen may keep their trailers set up for the regular two-week period, and in many cases covering the term of their hunting permit.

Many local economies in Barton’s sprawling rural district rely on the revenues brought to their communities by sportsmen and hunters.  Barton concluded that “…this could have had negative economic impacts on several of the local communities in my district and I truly applaud the Forest Service decision to reverse their previous action.”

About Brenda Barton:

A 5th generation native of rural Arizona, Representative Barton retired from municipal service after over 21 years. First elected to office in 2010, she now chairs the important Agriculture and Water committee in the House. Brenda has made Arizona’s agriculture industry and securing our water supply a main focal point of her work in the Legislature.  A graduate of the Dodie London Excellence in Public Service Series program, and past state director of the Arizona Federation of Republican Woman, Brenda also serves on the North American Council of the State Agriculture and Rural Leaders Legislative Summit.

From his success in delivering historic budget cuts in Arizona, to his support of the community of Yarnell and the fallen Granite Mountain Hotshots, I am confident that Andy Tobin will take Arizona’s fight to Washington. Andy will need all of our help to succeed.”

“As a Yavapai County Supervisor, I see the impact this economy is having on rural Arizonans everyday,” said Yavapai County Supervisor Jack Smith. “Andy Tobin has always been very accessible to my office and to the good people of Yavapai County. With the support of the County Supervisors from my legislative district, we can replace Kirkpatrick again and take rural Arizona’s fight to Washington. Yavapai County Supervisors Simmons, Smith and Thurman are an integral part of my campaign team. I value their experience, advice and the organization they will bring to my campaign as we continue to visit all of the counties in Arizona’s First Congressional District.”

Sooper Mexican is Symptomatic of a Bigger Problem with Conservatives

by Bob Quasius – Recently there’s been a controversy swirling around Sooper Mexican and his profane tweets on Twitter, which resulted in a Latino Rebels critique “Where Have You Gone Sooper Mexican?”

sooper mexican

Sooper Mexican has no class at all!

Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria – a liberal with much more class than Sooper Mexican

Sooper Mexican savagely attacked Cafe Con Leche Republicans for our support of immigration reform, for example calling us “maricones” (“homosexuals”) and “pendejos”, a particularly vulgar word never used in polite conversation (rhymes with “grass” and “poles”). Sooper Mexican’s vulgarity from behind a WWF style mask of anonymity embarrasses all conservatives, not just Hispanic conservatives.

Last October, Cafe Con Leche Republicans skewered Eva Longoria for her vulgar tweet calling any woman or minority “stupid” for voting for “racist/misogynistic” Mitt Romney. Unlike Sooper Mexican, Eva Longoria deserves credit for promptly apologizing for her retweet, a mistake she hasn’t repeated.

We don’t agree much with Eva Longoria’s politics, but she’s worked tirelessly on immigration reform. People on both sides of the aisle need to work together on finding practical solutions to difficult issues. Eva Longoria has shown us she has class; we can’t say the same for Sooper Mexican.

A vigorous debate over immigration reform is nothing new and should be welcomed. A healthy democracy hammers out solutions on the anvil of controversy. There are Republicans on both sides of the immigration debate who work hard and interact respectfully with their opponents.

“The person who agrees with you 80% of the time is a friend and an ally – not a 20% traitor.” – Ronald Reagan

Ronald Reagan 80% 20% rule

Ronald Reagan had class

Various polls peg Republican support for immigration reform including a path to citizenship at 75%, but ironically it’s a shrill part of the 25% opposition that accuses the 75% majority of being RINOS, traitors, etc., and drives many moderates in Congress to the sidelines on immigration reform.

“If you can’t win elections, you can’t govern.” – Rick Perry

Historically Republicans have always found the ‘big tent’ concept a winning strategy. In Reagan’s ‘big tent’ not all Republicans need to march ‘lock step’ on every issue, but as long as Republicans are ‘in step’ on most issues, we can come together to win elections, and iron out policy differences later.

However, how can Reagan’s ‘big tent’ work when someone is machine gunning others inside that ‘big tent’? I cannot recount how many times I have been called a “RINO”(Republican in Name Only), “open borders liberal”, “traitor”, “treasonous”, “Obama lover,” “progressive,” “illegal immigration supporter”, and countless other insults because I support immigration reform over mass deportations.

Sooper Mexican represents a disturbing trend that sadly, has taken hold in the Republican Party: the lack of civil political discourse. Bloggers, radio show hosts, and even many elected officials have seen personal benefit in polarizing and demeaning anyone who disagrees with them, and creating conflict to generate attention for themselves.

This lack of civility isn’t just directed to Democrats or liberals; as we have seen first-hand, fellow Republicans are unfairly being labeled RINOS, and in our case, subjected to profane treatment. It may generate more readers for their blog or support for their personal political ambitions in the short term, but in the long run, it undermines the party and alienates average Americans who would vote Republican but are repulsed by their behavior.

Sooper Mexican’s views on immigration are representative of just 8% of Hispanics, but his willingness to toe an ideological line has made him popular among some conservatives, especially the tea party.

Recent years have been difficult for Hispanic Republicans, as the rhetoric and demand for strict ideological purity on immigration has driven many from the party. Moreover, Democrats seek to put women and minorities into ideological boxes and criticize any woman or minority who strays from their box, which is just as unfair.

“Latinos are Republicans — they just don’t know it yet.” – Ronald Reagan

Hispanics have low turnout rates at election time and are under-represented on voter rolls. Rhetoric from both parties suppress voting by conservative Hispanics, which skews election results towards the left and reinforces the false narrative that Hispanics, and especially Hispanic immigrant, are natural Democrat voters, when poll after poll by Pew Research shows over 60% of Hispanics are center-right.

Will Kyrsten Sinema Join Obama and Double Down on ObamaCare?

Sinema’s Support for the Failed Law Has Been Unwavering

WASHINGTON – Today, President Obama and National Democrats are launching an ObamaCare apology tour across the country, which will attempt to persuade the millions of Americans suffering under the law to give the rollout and its expensive policies a second chance. Will Kyrsten Sinema join the President and double down on her support for ObamaCare?

Sinema has been a fervent ObamaCare supporter, and has been unwavering in her support for the billion-dollar law, even through its botched rollout this fall. Arizona families are tired of higher premiums and canceled policies. When will Sinema finally realize that ObamaCare is hurting Arizona voters?

“Kyrsten Sinema’s continued support of ObamaCare and its expensive price tag has hurt thousands of Arizona’s hard working families,” said NRCC Communications Director Andrea Bozek. “Will she continue to double down on her support as National Democrats continue to tout the so-called ‘benefits’ of the law, or will she finally admit that the ObamaCare train wreck has gone on for far too long?”

Conservative Grassroots Leaders Jennifer Wright and Shane Wikfors Endorse Arizona AG Candidate Mark Brnovich

Brnovich_logo

Recently, 2011 Phoenix Mayoral Candidate Jennifer Wright endorsed Republican Mark Brnovich for Arizona Attorney General.

“Now, more than ever, we need an Attorney General who knows and understands not only the U.S. Constitution, but the Arizona Constitution. We need an AG who will fight against federal programs, like ObamaCare. We need someone whose background includes not only prosecuting criminals, but has served as the director of the Goldwater Institute’s Center for Constitutional Government. And, we need someone who talks the talk AND walks the walk. Friends, we need Mark Brnovich.”

East Valley conservative activist and grassroots leader Shane Wikfors also endorsed Brnovich for Arizona Attorney General.

“As someone who places tremendous value on character and experience, I am excited to endorse Mark Brnovich to be Arizona’s next Attorney General. Mark possesses the conservative principles and personal integrity necessary to represent and advocate for Arizonans against an overbearing assault from Washington, DC. As a prosecutor, Mark has always demonstrated a commitment to justice, fairness, and judicial integrity. I also admire and respect his dedication to protecting our cultural and faith-based values. I wholeheartedly endorse and support Mark Brnovich as our next Attorney General of Arizona.”

Of the endorsements, Mark had this to say, “Jennifer Wright and Shane Wikfors have been steadfast advocates for conservative principles in the valley for a long time. Their support is invaluable and I look forward to working with them to help restore integrity and character to the office of Attorney General.”

Did Kyrsten Sinema Kill A DREAMers Dream?

Was a Dreamer who may have been used as a Latino outreach puppet by a Blue Dog Democrat, fired from her job?

By Carlos Galindo

It appears Erika Andiola who prominently entered the Immigration spotlight when she milked an incident involving her Mother, an alleged prior arrest and an alleged outstanding deportation order will be leaving her employment as an Immigration Outreach staffer for Blue Dog Democrat Rep. Kyrsten Sinema AZ CD-9. See her Facebook post below:

null

Here’s another screenshot of Andiola mooching (she calls it chipping in). You will also see an appropriate response from Dee Dee Blase Garcia. Blase Garcia is a nationally recognized blogger and Politico who is beyond politically involved. She’s a mover and a shaker. Blase Garcia is former Republican turned Independent after having been disenfranchised from the GOP because of their oppressive policies towards women, children and Immigrants. Follow Dee Dee Blase Garcia here.

By the way, Andiola’s former and most recent employer, Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema has her own anti-Immigrant legislation baggage that has dogged her all the way to Washington from from Arizona after she threw the Immigrant community under the bus.

However, this blog is about Andiola and her tactics to gain attention. Andiola’s mother was picked up by ICE a few months ago. Allegedly, according to Andiola and others close to the family, Andiola’s mother was being transported to the border to be deported when the van or bus in which she was transported received a call ordering a return of Andiola’s mother to a holding facility that eventually released her on an alleged form of parole or supervision until her next court date.

However, many of the allegations made by Andiola or others were refuted by ICE. The following is a formal on the record statement from the ICE Spokesperson.

“On the record: “One of two individuals detained by ICE in Phoenix, AZ has been released. The other individual will be released imminently. Although one individual had been previously removed from the country, an initial review of these cases revealed that certain factors outlined in ICE’s prosecutorial discretion policy appear to be present and merit an exercise of discretion. A fuller review of the cases is currently on-going. ICE exercises prosecutorial discretion on a case-by-case basis, considering the totality of the circumstances in an individual case.”

On background (please attribute ICE):

ICE agents did not target these individuals because of their family member’s role with the Dream Act Coalition.

Additionally, this arrest had absolutely nothing to do with DACA; instead, it was based on information from a prior arrest.

Amber Cargile
Spokesperson
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)
Phoenix, AZ”

Additional information I received was that in fact, Andiola’s mother was never en route to the border to be deported, and that the alleged call to return Andiola’s mother to the detention facility allegedly never occurred.

Well, we’ve got conflicting stories folks. Although many of us do not appreciate ICE’s tactics or past behavior, we also cannot allow those who through whatever means have gained the ear of the Immigrant, Latino and Anglo community to misrepresent situations involving the Immigrant community’s arch enemy or the Obama administration.

It’s unfortunate that Andiola is one of those Dreamers that appears to be more interested in following the Ayn Rand ideology than the Ghandi or MLK ideology, the latter being one that one would think a young dreamer would want to emulate. Sadly I’ve seen too many Dreamers more interested in making sure their mug gets on the evening news or making sure they are on the right path to climb socially. I’m not generalizing Dreamers. I have helped many Dreamers. I admire these kids. They are part of America’s future. I might compare this to the Republicans and the Tea Party. The Dems and the Pro-Immigrant community have allowed a handful of these unruly ungrateful brats to control the messaging, which has primarily consisted of Anti-USA rhetoric and anti-Obama attacks.

It appears Andiola’s recent departure from Sinema’s employ may have been a forced departure, based on pressure that was placed on Sinema and her congressional office for hiring a staffer who is supportive of an Immigration “advocate” who spews anti-USA rhetoric. Just as important, according to sources, Andiola was a $50,000 a year congressional office staffer allegedly mooching for money to take a trip to Washington with her mom. See screenshot below.

Keep your eye on Andiola, she isn’t done yet! Once a social climber, always a social climber.
