Securing Arizona, a political action committee registered with the Arizona Secretary of State, recently spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to defeat two conservative Republican candidates in East and West Mesa. House Speaker “Rusty” Bowers and Senator Tyler Pace, a two-term state senator were both defeated by Trump-endorsed candidate David Farnsworth and political newcomer Robert Scantlebury. Securing Arizona spent the bulk of the money on mailers, text messages and multimedia ads lying about Bowers and Pace’s voting records
When reviewing the campaign finance reports filed with the Secretary of State, there is one significant corporate donor to the PAC. Yellow Dog Sales, located at 2300 W Sahara Avenue, Suite 800 in Las Vegas, NV, donated a total of $227,200 to Securing Arizona.
A quick Google map search of that address shows a large high rise corporate building with US Bank signage.
The Nevada Secretary of State maintains a business registration portal called SilverFlume which we checked next for registration information. Here’s a screenshot of our findings:
All listing except one indicate the business was dissolved or permanently revoked. The one business that was listed as “active” appeared to be a property management or real estate company. However, the address did not match what was reported on the Securing Arizona campaign finance reports.
This leaves our investigation at a standstill until additional information is reported by the PAC or posted by the business or 3rd party.
We believe that all this information was reported to the Secretary of State in a formal complaint and that complaint may have also been forwarded to the Arizona Attorney General for review.
Should any of the information be discovered to be false and misleading, the appropriate investigative agency could bring charges of fraud and/or perjury against the PAC and its representative, Mr. Khalaf.
We will continue to research and investigate this matter but welcome any tips or information that could lead to further discovery.
