    I wouldn’t be surprised if campaign laws were violated by Jim Click and the gang. It appears that they didn’t only fund the RTA, but there may be a conspiracy to have flipped the election results.

    In practice, they will get a slap on the wrist. Or nothing. Instead of a fine of triple the amount of the amount spent to create the violation called for by the statute, they will negotiate to a fine of one to five percent. So a thousand bucks or so. That’s less than it would have cost to have an attorney represent them from the beginning, so a smart move on their part.

    I agree about the wrist slapping. These guys have a lot of money. By the time they are even sanctioned, it is well after the election…and they have the money to pay the fine.
