McCain to Remake GOP in “His Own Image”

I almost gave myself a “noser” when I saw this article in the Politico.

Fresh from a humbling loss in last year’s presidential election, Sen. John McCain is working behind-the-scenes to reshape the Republican Party in his own center-right image.

In his own image?  So even with the humbling loss, John still believes that he is a “player”. Does the good senator not recall that his own center-right image cost the GOP the election?;  That his “center-right image” is nowhere to be seen in any Town-Hall or Tea Party event, nor mirrored anywhere in the 912 Project March on Washington DC earlier this year?  Has he not heard a single word that conservatives have said through-out the summer recess?

I am trying to understand from where the Senator’s thought process would originate. I can only conclude that either he,

  • A:  has become as narcissistic as the sitting president.
  • B:  is suffering from some form of dementia.
  • C:  agrees with Jimmy Carter; that this summer of Town-Hallers and Tea Party participants were a bunch of racists.

Let’s start with option A, Narcissistic:  The Politico writes:

Those close to McCain say that, as much as anything else, his burgeoning political role reflects a determination he reached shortly after the conclusion of the presidential contest[which he lost]—that he would remain a factor on Capitol Hill.

Option B, Dementia:

In McCain’s case, that means backing conservative pragmatists and moderates.  “I think he’s endorsed people with center-right politics because he has an understanding that the party is in trouble with certain demographics and wants to have a tone that would allow us to grow,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham, the South Carolina Republican who is McCain’s closest friend and ally in the Senate.

If he is listening to Lindsey Graham-nsty, it would help to clarify from where John’s self-centered hallucinations materialize.  Let us not forget the Lindsey Graham-nsty record;

  • willing to compromise on the health-care bill;
  • believes that the banks should be nationalized;
  • voted for Sotomayor after saying he was deeply troubled by her;
  • voted for amnesty for illegal aliens immigrants.

Poor company to be keeping, Senator McCain.

Or Option C, We are all racists: John Weaver, a longtime McCain friend and strategist said,

“At a time when our party is struggling and has a lot of shrill voices and aggressive voices, he’s one that can expand our party”.

McCain demonstrates that he is anything but a conservative, confirmed last week when he endorsed GOP Rep. Jerry Moran in the Kansas Senate primary campaign against the outspoken conservative, Rep. Todd Tiahrt. Later Mccain went on to host a Capitol Hill fundraiser for Moran.  (Hey John, you do know your state is Arizona, don’t you?)

John McCain was the loser in the presidential election, and in the real world, most people do not spend too much time to seek out the opinions of the guy who came in second in a race of two.  Well, no one except for the GOP.  Back to John Weaver:

“John remains the titular head of the Republican Party and he will be until there’s a new nominee”.

Wow, that’s great Mr. Weaver.  How’s that working out for you anyway?  At last count the GOP, under the “titular” leadership of John McCain has left us in charge of, well, absolutely friggin’ nothing!  The White House, the House  and the Senate are all gone.  BHO and his buds are in charge of everything now.  Having the GOP reshaped into the “right-centered image” of John McCain could be likened to;

  • Taking cooking lessons from Hannibal Lecter.
  • Taking child-rearing classes from Michael Jackson.
  • Taking wide receiver lessons from Terrell Owens.
  • Taking financial advice from Bernie Madoff.
  • Taking marriage classes from Madonna.
  • Taking work-place sensitivity classes from David Letterman.

In a recent Rasmusen poll , only 33% of Arizonans believe McCain “has done a good job representing GOP values”.   61% of Arizona Republicans think McCain has lost touch with those in his own party. (Ya think?)

Senator McCain has not only lost touch with Arizona Republicans and conservatives in general, it is apparent that he has completely lost touch with Planet Earth.  For Senator McCain to still believe that he is relevant in this current season, shows how out of touch he really has become.  His “center-right image”, as he likes to describe it, not only cost the GOP the last election, but has now helped put America on the edge of ruin at the hands of the current administration.  Come the fall of 2010,  Arizona residents need to put John McCain out to pasture.

TARP Over Joe Public’s Eyes While Money Flows

by Gayle Plato, M. Ed

I don’t usually post others stuff more than a quote, but this information is too valuable to miss.  There is a fake profitability question of how is it that AIG,  huge insurance company, ‘losing’ money, and financial giants Citibank and Bank of America made profits?  Those two banks may have been hyped for those pseudo-two month profit that rallied the Dow for a few weeks.  Is it real?  Is it just  Area 51 of the Groom Lake trader shell game?  What IS going in?   Power up my black helicopter, cuz Soccer Mom is coming in for a landing.

Well some traders and brokerages make really big commissions off of these games people play.

There is talk amongst trader and Wall Street pop-talk blogs of AIG selling complicated portfolios-a strategy of options, bond, and stocks all packages that only have relationships to each other.  So when they want to get out of this–when they hedge- they sell the packages cheaper than should be, letting the banks stick it to AIG.  Then the banks turned around doing similar transactions.  With that, there are LARGE commissions coming and going and it makes no sense.  Profits tick up on the formal balance sheets for the banks, AIG pays bonuses to shift attention over here, and nobody knows nothing as the laundry comes in and goes out. Throw a TARP over it all?  Hmm.

Now I might just be some lil ol’ goof out here in blogosphere, but I can read. These tea leaves are making me green with ill, and some shifty money lifters green with the looting of the big business.  Our Congressmen don’t have time to read the stuff they sign.

This PLAN by the Treasury is NOT being cobbled together late at night, and Timmy Geithner is NOT just some poor guy workn’ hard.  He knows exactly what he is doing and when I saw him on Meet the Press, I started really worrying.

So what happened today? The president of GM left and the board of directors is going to resign.  Looks like this biggie is going into bankruptcy; so let the head guys out and let it go under.  Now we are merging Chrysler with Fiat. Good God.  Did you read THIS one: the government is honoring warranties for GM?  Is this insane?  Or is this a template of government  regulation like we’ll have with universal health care?

Simply put if you pay someone else’s bills, they have no incentive to keep the costs down.  Get ready for regulated auto industry. If you cannot see this process of power grab, you are not looking. Go sing Kumbaya and look at Mrs. Obama’s guns.  The government is not on autopilot though, and neither the leaders nor any of us are victims.

Read this:
From the blog- Zero Hedge (http://zerohedge.blogspot.com/2009/03/exclusive-aig-was-responsible-for-banks.html)

“For those to whom this is merely a lot of mumbo-jumbo, let me explain in layman’s terms:

AIG, knowing it would need to ask for much more capital from the Treasury imminently, decided to throw in the towel, and gifted major bank counter-parties with trades which were egregiously profitable to the banks, and even more egregiously money losing to the U.S. taxpayers, who had to dump more and more cash into AIG, without having the U.S. Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner disclose the real extent of this, for lack of a better word, fraudulent scam.

In simple terms think of it as an auto dealer, which knows that U.S. taxpayers will provide for an infinite amount of money to fund its ongoing sales of horrendous vehicles (think Pontiac Azteks): the company decides to sell all the cars currently in contract, to lessors at far below the amortized market value, thereby generating huge profits for these lessors, as these turn around and sell the cars at a major profit, funded exclusively by U.S. taxpayers (readers should feel free to provide more gripping allegories).

What this all means is that the statements by major banks, i.e. JPM, Citi, and BofA, regarding abnormal profitability in January and February were true, however these profits were a) one-time in nature due to wholesale unwinds of AIG portfolios, b) entirely at the expense of AIG, and thus taxpayers, c) executed with Tim Geithner’s (and thus the administration’s) full knowledge and intent, d) were basically a transfer of money from taxpayers to banks (in yet another form) using AIG as an intermediary.”

Tenth Amendment Sets Galt Free or It’s the Constitution Stupid

Gayle Plato-Besley, M.Ed.

Before I chose to be at home and in this current life of Mom, esq.,  I was that high school history teacher you didn’t listen to during Gov’t and Econ class right after lunch. Yeah, I remember you; you slept on the desk and folded footballs up with your notes. :-)

What I was trying to teach you then that now you see matters, is that you have rights and they’re only as good as your knowledge of them. I also did a great lesson on the Bill of Rights that you blew off so you could get stoned behind the bleachers. Yeah, I knew you did it and I saw you!

So here’s whattya missed:  Read the Constitution, and specifically look at the Tenth Amendment.  It’s the most important one we got when The People get rowdy.

But before you get all randy and run down to the town hall to protest with a used tea bag in you pocket, you better get smart. Take a moment to reflect as John Galt is a character, but the actual point made by Ayn Rand is that the individual is the power, and the centralized government is not. (Personally I prefer Howard Roake anyway, but then I love architecture so)

Tenth Amendment:

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

The debate of our near future is the importance of this amendment.

This is an excellent video of the current collective angst with the pending revolt and socialization of this country. Remember also what I’ve said, Organize With A Purpose:
