NRCC Slams Kyrsten Sinema and Tom O’Halleran In Latest Political Ad

NRCC Releases New Web Video Targeting Arizona Democrats For Accepting Money From Alleged Child Sex Trafficking Scheme

The National Republican Congressional Committee released a web video titled “Caught Red Handed” which targets Arizona Democrats Kyrsten Sinema and Tom O’Halleran for accepting thousands in campaign donations from executives accused of facilitating child sex trafficking.

“Kyrsten Sinema and Tom O’Halleran should be ashamed of themselves,” said NRCC Spokesman Jack Pandol.

“They’ve let their desperation to win re-election cloud their moral judgment. Kyrsten and Tom’s decision to knowingly take this tainted money speaks volumes about their twisted priorities as Arizona’s least principled elected officials.”

NRCC: Not Happy With Obamacare? Blame Kyrsten Sinema!

Although released earlier this year by the NRCC, this ad is as relevant today as it was in March. As your premiums and deductibles increase while your coverage decreases, remember who Arizona’s biggest champion of Obamacare was – Kyrsten Sinema.

Wendy Rogers Advances to ‘Young Gun’ in AZ09

Wendy Rogers

Arizona Congressional Candidate Advances in the Young Guns Program

WASHINGTON – The National Republican Congressional Committee announced today that Wendy Rogers has reached ‘Young Gun’ status, the top tier of the Committee’s recruitment program. She has reached the ‘Young Gun’ level by establishing a clear path to victory through her ability to build a formidable campaign structure and achieve important goals and benchmarks. Originally founded in the 2007-2008 election cycle by Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA), Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), the Young Guns program supports and mentors challenger and open-seat candidates in races across the country. Rogers is running in Arizona’s 9th Congressional District.

“Our job as a committee is to help elect Republicans to office that will serve as a check and balance on the Obama administration,” said NRCC Chairman Greg Walden. “Wendy has outlined conservative principles that will grow jobs, stop the harmful effects of ObamaCare, and get Washington’s spending under control. Wendy has met a series of rigorous goals that will put her in a position to win on Election Day.”

Wendy Rogers is a 5th generation military officer, spending 20 years in the Air Force and rising to the rank of Lt. Colonel. She was also one of the first 100 female pilots in the Air Force. She is a noted small business owner, running a property inspection company since 1997.

Wendy and her husband, Hal, have been married for 35 years. She has two children and two grandchildren.

Kevin McCarthy: Three House Seats In Play In Arizona

Wednesday, Republican House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy was on the Hugh Hewitt Show with Congressman John Campbell. McCarthy and Campbell both gave a few minutes to assessing US House races across the country and began their conversation with our Arizona.

According to Majority Leader McCarthy, Arizona has three congressional races in play and likely pickups.

Top of the list is CD-1 where Andy Tobin is challenging Kirkpatrick; CD-2 where Martha McSally is coming on strong against Ron Barber and finally CD-9 where Wendy Rogers has a good chance of defeating Kyrsten Sinema in the General Election.

What this means is Republican Congressional leadership is engaged in what is happening here in Arizona.  Don’t be surprised if the NRCC throws some resources – money, ads, logistic support, endorsements, etc. – in order to ensure success in winning these three congressional House seats.

Here’s the transcript from Wednesday’s Hugh Hewitt Show:

Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy:  Arizona-1, Kirkpatrick seat, this is an R+4, meaning it leans a Republican seat. She has been in one term within here. I think it’s a great opportunity. You’ve got Andy Tobin, they just had their primary, it just got determined. Andy is a conservative over there in the state legislature, actually was the speaker, great individual on all the tough issues. He’s led so many conservative movements there. The second is Arizona-2. This is Barber’s seat, currently R+3. Martha McSally, now Martha came last time less than 1,200 votes from winning the seat. Martha is the first female pilot in combat. She flew the A-10, remarkable woman, served our country so well. She would make such a great member. Those two in Arizona, you’ve got another one in Arizona, I’d say Arizona-9. We’ve got Wendy Rogers is our candidate again against Sinema. She’s a freshmen. This is R+1. All three of those are in play.

To ensure victory this November, let’s make sure we get out and work hard to get these fine candidates elected.

Will Kyrsten Sinema break her silence on Lois Lerner’s “lost” emails?

Will Sinema Help Uncover the Truth Behind the IRS Scandal or Will She Help the Administration Cover Up Another Scandal?

Kyrsten Sinema

Kyrsten Sinema

WASHINGTON – Last week, the IRS sent a letter to the House Ways and Means committee explaining that they lost Lois Lerner’s emails from January 2009 to April 2011 due to a “computer crash.” These “missing emails” demonstrate the lengths the Obama Administration and Congressional Democrats will go in order to cover up the IRS’ effort to target tax-exempt conservative groups based on their political beliefs.

Sinema’s silence solidifies the fact that she has become a Washington insider and is out of touch with Arizona taxpayers. Instead of demanding answers and holding the IRS accountable, Sinema is helping the Administration cover up a scandal in hopes of political support for her re-election.

“First Lois Lerner refused to comply with Congressional investigations and now her emails are ‘missing’. That just doesn’t pass the smell test,” said NRCC Communications Director Andrea Bozek. “Kyrsten Sinema has the opportunity to protect Arizona taxpayers from being wrongfully targeted by holding the Administration accountable and condemning the IRS officials responsible for this scandal.”

Will Kyrsten Sinema Support Obama’s Job Destroying Cap-and-Trade Scheme?

Kyrsten Sinema Will Have to Choose Between Saving Jobs or Backing her Friends in D.C.

WASHINGTON – Is Kyrsten Sinema going to listen to Arizona voters and save American jobs, or will she fall in line with her Democrat allies and support President Obama’s latest cap-and-trade scheme that could cost the U.S. economy $50 billion a year and eliminate an estimated 224,000 jobs?

A recent study, issued by the United States Chamber of Commerce, found that President Obama’s new cap-and-trade edict will force more than a “third of the coal-fired power capacity to close by 2030.”

“Not only will this new Obama regulation cost billions of dollars for taxpayers, but it will limit American energy production and spike electricity prices – hurting families across America,” said NRCC Communications Director Andrea Bozek. “Arizona families deserve a Republican leader in Congress that will stand up to President Obama and his Administration’s job-destroying regulations.”

ELECTRICITY: “U.S. electricity prices may be going up for good. There is a growing fragility in the U.S. electricity system, experts warn, the result of the shutdown of coal-fired plants, reductions in nuclear power, a shift to more expensive renewable energy and natural gas pipeline constraints. … ‘We are now in an era of rising electricity prices,’ said Philip Moeller, a member of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission…” (Los Angeles Times)

HEALTH CARE: “More employees are getting hit with higher health insurance premiums and co-payments, and many don’t have the money to cover unexpected medical expenses, a new report finds. More than half of companies (56%) increased employees’ share of health care premiums or co-payments for doctors’ visits in 2013, and 59% of employers say they intend to do the same in 2014, according to the annual Aflac WorkForces Report.” (USA TODAY)

FOOD: “Rising food prices bite into household budgets. Prices are rising for a range of food staples, from meat and pork to fruits and vegetables, squeezing consumers still struggling with modest wage gains.” (USA TODAY)

FLYING, THE MOVIES, OIL CHANGES, AND MORE: “David Rosenberg, chief economist and strategist at Gluskin Sheff, said other areas beyond food and energy … are getting costlier as well. ‘Airline fares are on the rise,’ he said in his morning note Tuesday. ‘Movie tickets and other such recreational services are on the rise. Repair service fees are on the rise. Shelter costs in general are on the rise. Tuition costs are on the rise. Medical service prices are on the rise.’” (NBC News)

Will Kyrsten Sinema Join Obama and Double Down on ObamaCare?

Sinema’s Support for the Failed Law Has Been Unwavering

WASHINGTON – Today, President Obama and National Democrats are launching an ObamaCare apology tour across the country, which will attempt to persuade the millions of Americans suffering under the law to give the rollout and its expensive policies a second chance. Will Kyrsten Sinema join the President and double down on her support for ObamaCare?

Sinema has been a fervent ObamaCare supporter, and has been unwavering in her support for the billion-dollar law, even through its botched rollout this fall. Arizona families are tired of higher premiums and canceled policies. When will Sinema finally realize that ObamaCare is hurting Arizona voters?

“Kyrsten Sinema’s continued support of ObamaCare and its expensive price tag has hurt thousands of Arizona’s hard working families,” said NRCC Communications Director Andrea Bozek. “Will she continue to double down on her support as National Democrats continue to tout the so-called ‘benefits’ of the law, or will she finally admit that the ObamaCare train wreck has gone on for far too long?”

Ron Barber Campaign – Worst Rollout Ever!

And we thought the rollout of ObamaCare was bad…

This is probably the worst headline we’ve ever seen for a candidate’s campaign rollout.

Here’s the headline from the Arizona Daily Star:

BarberHeadline

And here’s the accompanying article:

Barber says he’s running in 2014 after hesitation

Congressman Ron Barber says he will run for a second term representing Arizona’s 2nd Congressional District after saying last week that he was still uncertain.

Barber released a statement Wednesday saying he’s been focused on representing his district and not on seeking another term. But Barber says he wants to make it clear he’s running and is “putting everything in place to win.”

Barber told the Arizona Capital Times on Saturday that he needed to speak with his family before making a formal decision on a re-election bid. He has already filed paperwork with federal officials and is raising campaign cash.

Barber is one of three freshmen Arizona Democrats targeted by Republicans next year. His district includes much of Tucson as well as other parts of southeastern Arizona.

Clearly, Congressman Barber is worried about his reelection and has reluctantly agreed to stay in the race.

NRCC Spokesman Daniel Scarpinato commented, “This is not leadership. Congressman Barber had second thoughts about running for reelection because he knows that Southern Arizonans see him as part of the problem in Washington and are upset about his support for ObamaCare. Congressman Barber’s reluctance to stay in this race is just more evidence that Southern Arizonans aren’t getting the representation they deserve.”

Who Does Kyrsten Sinema Stand With: Bill Clinton or Barack Obama?

NRCC

SinemaObama021709WASHINGTON – Former President Bill Clinton has joined the chorus calling on President Obama and Democrats in Congress to keep their commitment and ensure Americans can keep their current insurance plans. After President Obama admitted that his infamous “if you like your health care plan, you can keep it” claim is actually false, even some of Obama’s supporters have demanded answers from the administration.

It’s time for ObamaCare supporter Kyrsten Sinema to stop making excuses for President Obama, and explain what she is doing to fix this mess and give Arizona families answers as to why they can’t keep their current healthcare plan like Obama promised.

“Now, even Bill Clinton is calling out President Obama and Democrats in Congress for their broken promises,” said NRCC Communications Director Andrea Bozek. “ObamaCare supporter Kyrsten Sinema has been part of the problem. While Arizona families are losing their healthcare coverage Sinema remains silent and refuses to acknowledge her responsibility in this ObamaCare mess.”
