MCCAIN COMES IN LAST IN FOUR-WAY RACE! Results of ArizonaInformer.com’s First AZ Senate Primary Poll

MCCAIN EHLast Friday we launched our first unscientific AZ Senate Primary poll and the results were interesting to say the least.   The poll was open for 24 hours and was open to all online voters.  While many are dismissive of online polls as unscientific, the importance of the poll is to gauge a general interest among Arizona activists who make phone calls, knock on doors, and are the most engaged in Arizona politics.  The primary purpose of these poll is to measure the probability of prospective campaigns and distinguish what we would believe to end up as an ‘also-ran’ versus true viability.

First, there were 730 ‘respondents’ to our poll but upon review of IP addresses and locations we knew there was rampant Paulbotesque ballot stuffing.  While we cannot say with certainty that there are not over 200 American citizens who can vote in Liberia, Moldova, The Netherlands, Sweden, Luxembourg, and a host of other nations — all which voted for McCain, we are going on the assumption that there was some nefarious double-voting/IP masking going on. Therefore to get a clearer picture we scrubbed all foreign IPs and multiple votes out of the tally as we know that many supporters use websites and programs such as Tor Browser that mask IPs to allow a person to vote multiple times from foreign IP addresses.  Once we removed the double votes and international IPs, we were left with 198 American respondents.

The breakdown was:

Rep. Salmon – 62 votes
Liberal Senator John McCain – 54 votes
Rep. Gosar – 51 votes
Rep Schweikert – 31 votes

We further narrowed down the results to include only Arizona voters (scrubbed down to 168 respondents) which paint a very bad picture for Team McCain if he is challenged with a viable primary candidate.  AZInformer poll AZ voters

While it shows that McCain and Rep Schweikert is ‘tied’ for last at 17% the hard numbers were as follows:

Rep. Salmon – 54 votes
Rep. Gosar – 53 votes
Rep Schweikert – 29 votes
Liberal Senator John McCain – 28 votes

Yes, the liberal pro-gun control, pro-Amnesty Senator has come in dead last in our 4-way online poll of the most politically active activists in Arizona.

Since last week’s poll, reports have come out that Arizona State Senator Kelli Ward is considering challenging McCain.  In our next poll, we will include Sen. Ward to gauge the grassroots support for the Conservative stalwart and keep an eye out for online ballot stuffing and scrub the results as we did here.

If the grassroots have a viable candidate to get behind, the 2016 Arizona Senate Primary may be more interesting and exciting than those of either the GOP’s or the Democratic Party’s nomination for president.

Sheriff Paul Babeu to Congress: “Secure the Border First”

Elected officials have used the illegal immigration issue to their political advantage for years. In our opinion, Arizona is blessed with several of those rare elected officials whose commitment to fighting illegal immigration and promoting border security despite the political risks never wavers. I checked in with one of those leaders this week, and offer you readers this update here:

Sheriff Paul BabeuPinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu became a familiar face and household name in April 2010 when he appeared in the “Build the Dang Fence” commercial with Senator John McCain who was battling against J.D. Hayworth to retain his seat in the U.S. Senate.  During that same time, Sheriff Babeu also helped Senators’ McCain and Kyl develop their 10-Point Border Security Plan.  Senator McCain has since abandoned the border security plan and instead he has spent his time working with the “Gang of Eight” to create an amnesty plan for the 12-23 million illegals in the United States today.

The McCain-Kyl “10-Point Border Security” plan mirrored what was already accomplished in the Yuma Sector where border crossings and apprehensions have been reduced by over 96%.  The Yuma Sector as a result of this plan still enjoys this same success today.  Sheriff Babeu was a United States Army Major at the time, and played a key role in the success of this plan as the commanding officer for “Operation Jump Start.”  Through this effort, the Yuma Sector of the border was secured because armed soldiers were placed on the border, the military constructed a double barrier fence, and illegals caught crossing into the U.S. were prosecuted for their crime(s) instead of Pres. Obama’s “catch & release” policy in place today.

Sheriff Paul Babeu has twice served as president of the Arizona Sheriff’s Association, and more recently was voted unanimously as the spokesperson for the Western States Sheriff’s Association on all issues related to immigration and border security.  During July of this year, he worked with Congressmen Goodlatte and Gowdy on their “Strengthen and Fortify Enforcement Act” to help protect American citizens from illegal aliens already in the United States.

Pinal is the third largest county in Arizona.  Unfortunately, it ranks as the “top pass through county” in the nation for both drug- and human smuggling.  They received this distinction because those involved with drug and human smuggling funnel north through Pinal County from the counties below it, a result of both the county’s terrain and the system of roads and highways.

Pinal County residents have seen more than their fair share of crimes as a result of America’s still-unsecured border. Mind you, despite what Homeland IN-Security Secretary Janet Napolitano promises, our border remains very insecure. Almost daily, Sheriff Babeu’s deputies are involved in vehicle pursuits with cartel members smuggling drugs or people. The county has seen executions, and Mexican cartels have now sent assassins into Pinal County to carry out the murders of other cartel members on U.S. soil.

In addition, Mexican drug and human smuggling cartels have sent Rip Crews” into Arizona, including Pinal County, which have been involved in gun battles with other cartel members. These so-called “Rip Crews” (ultra-violent gangs tied to the cartels to steal from other cartels) have conducted traffic stops and been involved in heinous crimes including, but not limited to homicides, home invasions, kidnappings, shootings, sexual assaults, burglaries and thefts.

Pinal Deputies have confronted armed individuals both in the desert and in vehicles, and been involved in shootings and physical confrontations.  Just last month, they caught a smuggler who had already been deported from the United States 11 prior times.  This time when deputies attempted to contact him, he fled in a vehicle, then fled on foot, and when deputies tried to arrest him he assaulted them. And at the time, he was attempting to smuggle 220 pounds of marijuana into the U.S.

As if all that weren’t enough to keep him busy, Sheriff Babeu also helped “Whistle Blower” employees from ICE and U.S. Border Patrol come forward after they were ordered by the Obama Administration to secretly release over 2,000 illegals from detention facilities throughout the United States. As we’ve now learned, many of those illegals released by Pres. Obama into our communities had criminal histories which included manslaughter, child molestation, aggravated assault, weapon offenses, forgery, drug offenses or other serious crimes.

Illegal immigration isn’t the only crime Sheriff Babeu or his dedicated team face in Pinal County, but I asked him why he puts so much effort into this cause. His answer is important for all the right reasons: “Until this administration gets serious and properly secures the border, if we don’t stop it here then it will continue throughout America.”

He continued by telling me, he instructs his deputies, “to dismantle and disrupt drug and human trafficking operations and arrest those responsible.  Every time the cartels change their tactics to try to win the war, we will change ours to defeat them.”

For this blogger, it seems most days the White House and Congress are more interested in winning elections than securing our border, protecting our communities, stopping the flow of drugs into our schools, and saving the lives of any of the women and children lost each year, month, week and day to human trafficking and the global sex trade.

Thankfully there are still elected officials out there who haven’t given up. One of the very finest is Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu.

The Ol’ Progressive Rears his Ugly Head – McCain Hacks Steal LD11 Seats

So-Called “Sound Advice” claims there was a ‘Sea Change’ in LD11 elections.  Nothing could be further from the truth!  This McCain hack is simply propagandizing the real story of what happened in the home District for Progressive Senator John McCain.  McCain’s faux conservatism is gone now that the election is over.  Instead, the Grant Woods/McCain wing of Democrats in Disguise worked a deceitful sleight of hand and stopped the election of solid Conservatives, like Randy Pullen and Rob Haney to the State GOP Convention. When “Sound Advice” (Lisa James?) wrote that Randy is viewed as untrustworthy and ineffective by the grassroots in the party, nothing could be further from the Truth!  He/She is simply trying to mislead everyone.   Spin is just another word for lying!

The real story of what happened was aptly explained at “Seeing Red AZ” article at the following link and pasted below: http://seeingredaz.wordpress.com/2010/11/18/mccain-forcee s-attempt-to-wrest-az-gop-control/

McCain forces attempt to wrest AZ GOP control

The Republican intra-party activities playing out in legislative district meetings around the state are anything but benign. Precinct committeemen, who were elected on the August primary election ballot, are now engaging in the important elections for their own district officers and state committeemen posts. They in turn, will elect state party officers.

The normally routine elections are fast turning into a referendum on McCain‘s influence. Last evening, in McCain’s home District 11, the long knives were out as the liberal wing of the Republican Party took out conservatives in a bloodbath that included keeping state Republican Chairman Randy Pullen from serving as a state committeeman. This means he is not able to run for reelection as the state chairman.

Pullen is currently Treasurer of the Republican National Committee.

This McCain power grab is stunningly inconsistent with the citizen activism witnessed in the retaking of congressional seats being reclaimed by conservatives in CD 1 and 5, as well as the exceedingly close races waged by GOP Platform-based newcomers against entrenched liberals Grijalva and Giffords. The Arizona state legislature is solidly in conservative hands.

The McIdeologues are beholden to the open-border business interests desirous of a continued flow of exploitable, low wage illegal workers. American citizens should come first, particularly in these difficult economic times, but when you’re married to an Anheuser-Busch beer distributorship heiress and have millions left from a failed presidential bid, fiscal policies take on a different hue.

We are watching another dose of top-down politics, pushed by the McCain/Kyl establishment.  It matters not that it has resulted in grand losses in the past. This is being foisted by an angry contingent who should ply their trade in alleys rather than in the inner circles of respectability.

One bright note is the state committeeman slot won by Tom Husband.

The Group behind McCain and Deakin Attacks on JD Hayworth

By Captain Dreadlocke and RAP

Numerous persons ‘involved’ with the ‘other’ Arizona senate campaigns have posted on  blogs throughout Arizona, that J.D. Hayworth was named by C.R.E.W- Center for Responsibility and Ethics in Government as one of the most corrupt candidates in 2010.  Well, Who is “CREW ” and WHAT are they all about?  Are they what they sound like, an organization committed to ethical government and responsible conduct, or is there more to know regarding this group?

Well one of the best sources for such information is David Horowitz, a former ‘Red Diaper Baby’ (A child of Marxists) and his website, “Discover the Networks” – A guide to the Political Left.

http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/groupProfile.asp?grpid=7309

According to David, CREW was established in 2001 by far left Democrat activists who see themselves as a counterbalance to the conservative leaning Judicial Watch.  They describe themselves as, “…as a ‘nonpartisan’ public interest group that litigates and brings ethics charges against ‘government officials who sacrifice the common good to special interests’ and ‘betray the public trust’.” Hmmm, so they’re looking to protect the public, eh?  Not so fast, there’s much more to know.

In reality, according to Discover the Networks,  “CREW’s ultimate purpose is to use ‘the rule of law to bring about constructive social change’ in a manner the organization likens to the 1960s civil rights movement. The ‘social change’ sought by CREW is the transformation of America into a nation that more fully embraces leftist values and policies.”   In pursuit of this goal, “…CREW strives to discredit conservatives and Republicans it deems vulnerable to attack, with the objective of decreasing their numbers in political offices nationwide.”  SO, THIS IS THE GROUP John McCain and Jim Deakin uses to discredit JD Hayworth!?  That says MUCH MORE about those two senate candidates than anything about JD!

CREW has received financial backing from groups such as George Soros’s Open Society Institute, The Tides Foundation, The David Geffen Foundation and The Barbara Streisand Foundation as well as several other institutions that are noted for supporting far left causes.

Many C.R.E.W officials have ties to the political left.  Melanie Sloan, the groups Executive Director worked for Charles Schumer, John Conyers and Joseph Biden.  Other officials also have ties to the political left such as Media Matters and ACORN.  Naomi Seligman, a former Deputy Director who had formerly worked for Media Matters was quoted in Wikipedia as saying “We are Progressives. We work within a large progressive infrastructure.”

How apropos that McCain would be very comfortable with quoting this group!

In March 2002, it was reported in “The Hill” a weekly newspaper, that “House Democratic Leaders are honing in on an election strategy to taint the entire Republican caucus by demonizing Majority Leader Tom DeLay Rep. TX.”  Shortly thereafter CREW sent out letters to all Democrat House members in an effort to get someone to file an ethics charge against DeLay. Texas Congressman Chris Bell, who had just been defeated in a Texas Democratic Primary, volunteered.  The House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct investigated and found Bells accusations against DeLay unfounded. Melanie Sloan told the Wall Street Journal, “Since I started [with CREW] the main thing I wanted to do was go after Tom DeLay.”

The group prides which themselves in initiating litigation, also took on the legal case of Valerie Plame and her husband Joe Wilson against Vice President Cheney, Carl Rove and Lewis “Scooter” Libby.

The group also led other campaigns to discredit President George W. Bush among them was to tie the administration and many other Republicans to Jack Abramoff.  Ironically they never mentioned Abramoff’s connections to many Democrats.  To quote Mark Margolis and Mark Noonan of Townhall.com on 1/1/2007, “Several Democrats have participated in trips paid for and/ accompanied by Abramoff, including Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS.), Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC), Rep. Michael McNulty. (D-NY) and Gregory Meeks(D-NY).  They also reported that Harry Reid also received some $68,000 in donations from the Abramoff firm, partners and clients.

CREW also wanted Sarah Palin and the Republican Party to be investigated because of the party’s purchase of the clothing she wore during the presidential campaign. The group consistently targets Republicans primarily the most conservative ones.  Since it began compiling and publishing a list of the worse and most corrupt elected officials in 2005 until the present; Out of 116 officials named by them 82 were Republicans  and only 34 were Democrats.  On their most recent list of the worse Governors listed were 9 Republicans and 2 Democrats.

Even in an article written shortly after the death of  Jack Murtha, D-PA, titled “A Profile in Arrogance” in which CREW’s Melanie Sloan is quoted criticizing Murtha as the “King of Pork”; CREW is described as a group “… which reserves most of its criticisms for Republicans.”

http://frontpagemag.com/2010/02/17/a-profile-in-arrogance/

Prominent left wing radicals and groups funded by the likes of George Soros have targeted the most Conservative members of Congress, the ones they know they cannot buy.  However it appears like a few    progressive Republicans elected officials may be neutralized when they receive funding from Soros etc. for the foundations and “Institutes” they chair.

Were does that leave J.D. Hayworth?

Having been listed this year on CREW’s report J.D. joins some of the best and most conservative Republican elected officials in the nation, such as Bobby Jindal, Marsha Blackburn, Haley Barbour and Roy Blunt.

From a conservative Point of  View, that is a list  JD Hayworth can be proud of having a very prominent place!

The Real McCain Record
Obstacles in the way of conservative support.
by Mark Levin

There’s a reason some of John McCain’s conservative supporters avoid discussing his record. They want to talk about his personal story, his position on the surge, his supposed electability. But whenever the rest of his career comes up, the knee-jerk reply is to characterize the inquiries as attacks.

The McCain domestic record is a disaster. To say he fought spending, most particularly earmarks, is to nibble around the edges and miss the heart of the matter. For starters, consider:

McCain-Feingold – the most brazen frontal assault on political speech since Buckley v. Valeo

McCain-Kennedy – the most far-reaching amnesty program in American history.

McCain-Lieberman – the most onerous and intrusive attack on American industry – through reporting, regulating, and taxing authority of greenhouse gases – in American history.

McCain-Kennedy-Edwards – the biggest boon to the trial bar since the tobacco settlement, under the rubric of a patients’ bill of rights.

McCain-Reimportation of Drugs – a significant blow to pharmaceutical research and development, not to mention consumer safety (hey Rudy, pay attention, see link).

And McCain’s stated opposition to the Bush 2001 and 2003 tax cuts was largely based on socialist, class-warfare rhetoric – tax cuts for the rich, not for the middle class. The public record is full of these statements. Today, he recalls only his insistence on accompanying spending cuts.

As chairman of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, McCain was consistently hostile to American enterprise, from media and pharmaceutical companies to technology and energy companies.

McCain also led the Gang of 14, which prevented the Republican leadership in the Senate from mounting a rule change that would have ended the systematic use (actual and threatened) of the filibuster to prevent majority approval of judicial nominees.

And then there’s the McCain defense record.

His supporters point to essentially one policy strength, McCain’s early support for a surge and counterinsurgency. It has now evolved intoMcCain taking credit for forcing the president to adopt General David Petreaus’s strategy. Where’s the evidence to support such a claim?

Moreover, Iraq is an important battle in our war against the Islamo-fascist threat. But the war is a global war, and it most certainly includes the continental United States, which, after all, was struck on 9/11. How does McCain fare in that regard?

McCain-ACLU – the unprecedented granting of due-process rights to unlawful enemy combatants (terrorists).

McCain has repeatedly called for the immediate closing of Guantanamo Bay and the introduction of al-Qaeda terrorists into our own prisons – despite the legal rights they would immediately gain and the burdens of managing such a dangerous population.

While McCain proudly and repeatedly points to his battles with Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, who had to rebuild the U.S. military and fight a complex war, where was McCain in the lead-up to the war – when the military was being dangerously downsized by the Clinton administration and McCain’s friend, former Secretary of Defense Bill Cohen? Where was McCain when the CIA was in desperate need of attention? Also, McCain was apparently in the dark about al-Qaeda like most of Washington, despite a decade of warnings.

My fingers are crossed that at the next debate, either Fred Thompson or Mitt Romney will find a way to address McCain’s record. (Mike Huckabee won’t, as he is apparently in the tank for him.)
