Frosty’s Snowflakes

By Calamity June

We’ve noticed that over the last few days, Frosty’s Fake News has led with a “warning” to the rejects and sore losers who are pushing a recall against AZ GOP Chairman Jonathan Lines. A typical post reads as follows:

“Any State Committeemen Being Harassed for signing a Remove AZGOP Jonathan Lines “call” petition should notified (SIC) petition spokesman Marianne Ferrari…Harassment is a Class I misdemeanor…”

Even for the typical spittle-flecked drivel of Frosty’s Fake News, this is incredibly rich. Having engaged in a near non-stop campaign of lies, smears and bullying against Chairman Lines and his team, Frosty’s Snowflakes apparently can’t handle even a modicum of scrutiny that comes with their ill-fated effort to remove AZ GOP leadership in the middle of a crucial election cycle.

SnowflakeThese snowflakes have sent the better part of the year crying about bylaws violations that don’t exist, licking their wounds over a free and fair election that they lost, and fabricating wrongdoing for the sole purpose of grabbing power. Like the liberal snowflakes who still haven’t come to grips with President Trump’s victory, Frosty’s Snowflakes similarly are unable to grasp the fact that they were rejected by the state committee in January.

So instead of working to Make America Great Again and fight for President Trump’s agenda, they throw tantrum after tantrum while attacking grassroots Republicans and attempting to shut down discussion from anyone who disagrees with them, in the best traditions of left-wing college students in need of a “safe space.”

These are snowflakes like Bruce Piepho, who compares the AZ GOP to the rise of Adolf Hitler in Nazi Germany; like sore loser Jim O’Connor, who claims on one side of his mouth that he is uninvolved with a recall effort, then travels up to Show Low to advocate for it; like Lori Hack, who as a Never Trump Republican was removed from the RNC convention floor after refusing to support our Republican nominee. (You can find a full list of the Recall Roster here, snowflakes all.)

While real Republicans in Arizona continue to work to register voters, turn out Republicans for municipal races and lay the groundwork for a successful 2018, Frosty and her snowflakes continue in their effort to tear down the party…and then cry crocodile tears when anyone dares to criticize their destructive behavior and calls out their lies.

They represent the height of hypocrisy and the definition of Alinksy-style tactics. And once again, they will be rejected by Republicans who want to win in 2018.

Unhinged: Recall Rejects Invoke Adolf Hitler, Bizarre Conspiracy Theories

By Rangel Solamente

This week, yet another leader of the misguided and meritless “recall movement” circulated an e-mail which made the ludicrous connection between the AZ GOP and…Adolf Hitler’s rise to power. Here’s the relevant text:

There is non-threatening enabling acts for Arizona – One for creating a state and another for the Land Department, see attached.  Fortunately none such as in Germany of 1933.

The German word for an enabling act is Ermächtigungsgesetz. It usually refers to the Enabling Act of 23 March 1933, which became a cornerstone of Adolf Hitler’s seizure of power.

This is embarassing and disgusting on it’s face. Adolf Hitler oversaw the extermination of 6 million Jews, millions of others deemed “impure,” and represents a unique and disgusting sort of evil that we all must vigilently protect against.

And yet, Bruce Piepho, a regular contributor to Frosty’s Fake News, whose unhinged and incomprehensible rants have lately become a staple of her daily screed, has somehow found a connection between Adolf Hitler’s rise to power in 1933, and the work being done at the AZ GOP by Chairman Lines and his team.

Piepho concludes his rant with a question: What do you want your AZGOP to be? Well, Bruce, if the choice is between Chairman Lines and a man making Hitler references…you probably won’t like the answer.

Piepho’s e-mail also includes the bizarre conspiracy theories of Steven Slaton, the chairman of Navajo County and another keyboard commando quoted often in Frosty’s Fake News. Slaton claims that the AZ GOP staff was hired not by Chairman Lines…but by a mysterious group of donors known as “The Council.”

Slaton’s blatherings bring to mind another conspiracy-minded character. We couldn’t think of anyone in real life, but let’s take a look at the “Father” character portrayed in “So I Married an Axe Murderer,” and his deep concern with the mysterious “Pentaverate.”

The truth is, the Council is no more real than the Pentaverate. Sadly, Mr. Slaton, and his friend Mr. Piepho, live in a world of black helicopters, chem trails, and secret societies that spend their time, apparently, making staffing decisions at the AZGOP.

It truly is stranger than fiction.

Recall Ringleader Admits: “We Need No Cause”

By Rangel Solamente

In a stunning admission, Marianne Ferrari, the self-described leader of the Recall Lines movement has publicly admitted that she does not need a cause for recall; this entire effort is nothing more than an attack on the Republican Party and a massive distraction from the organizing and voter registration activities which should be the sole focus of Republican activists.

In Friday’s Yellow Sheet Report, Ferrari’s admission earned her the coveted “quote of the day.” And why not. The instigator and leader of this strange and meritless recall effort admits what we’ve known all along: they have no cause.

In a weak attempt to cite SOME reason for her time-wasting effort, Ms. Ferrari also reportedly said that she was motivated to recall Chairman Lines because of the $235,000 in debt that he inherited upon assuming the chairmanship in January of 2017.

Keep in mind, this $235,000 legal fee was the result of the AZ GOP’s successful litigation in defense of Arizona’s ban on ballot harvesting. No true Republican would object to the AZ GOP working with national Republican organizations to fight back against Soros-funded ballot fraud.

Making her charge all the more ludicrous is the fact that, as was announced today, the Arizona GOP has retired all legal bills that the chairman inherited upon taking office.

Of course, Ms. Ferrari knows full well that Chairman Lines knew nothing of the debt before he took office. And she also knows that the Chairman has worked tirelessly to make sure that the AZ GOP pay its bills, and continue to stand up for ballot integrity and the rule of law.

So there we have it. A recall without merit, a leader without a cause, citing a debt that the chairman was not aware of, that has since been paid off …all wrapped up in her apparent opposition to the AZ GOP’s successful fight to ban ballot harvesting, defending a law that was passed by a Republican legislature and signed by our Republican governor.

We’re starting to think that Marianne Ferrari may not have the best interests of the Republican Party at heart. And we have a pretty good idea why that is, but we’ll save that for another day…

“Never Trump” Republican Activist leads efforts to Recall Jonathan Lines

By Rangel Solamente

A small band of malcontents has elected to join forces in a quixotic effort to remove Chairman Jonathan Lines. With Frosty Taylor and her “Fake News” briefs serving as a facilitator and mouthpiece, this small group is attempting to overturn the results of a  duly called and recognized election.

So…who are these divisive forces  that are attempting to throw the Arizona GOP into chaos? And while taking a look at this motley crew, consider this…what is their real objective?

The “Never Trumper”: One of the most vocal members of this rogue band is Lori Hack. Lori’s efforts to sow discontent and division are nothing new, as she made national news last year in her refusal to support Donald Trump at the Republican National Convention. http://www.azcentral.com/ story/news/politics/elections/ 2016/07/18/arizona-anti-trump- delegate-lori-hack-denied- republican-national- convention-credentials/ 87243792/

In announcing her intention to oppose our nominee, she was in violation of state statute and party bylaws. Her refusal to back our nominee resulted in her removal from the delegate roster; and added to the media’s false narrative that Republicans were not united behind our nominee. Interestingly, the man who Hack is attempting to remove from office, Jonathan Lines, was an enthusiastic Trump supporter who led the nominee’s efforts in Yuma County, ultimately turning Yuma red for President Trump. Also ironic, is that Chairman Lines has received accolades from President Trump for his focus and efficiency in supporting the Trump Agenda.

The Sore Loser: Jim O’Connor was Jonathan Lines’ primary opponent at the January statutory meeting. O’Connor’s candidacy was already shrouded in controversy, as he rigged the election of State Committeemen in LD 23 to ensure a near-unanimous slate to back him. Despite these shenanigans, O’Connor lost by 36 votes, or just over 3% of the electorate. Given the historically close races for Arizona State Chairman, that is actually a fairly wide margin. Instead of graciously accepting the outcome and pledging to work with the new chairman, O’Connor and his henchmen made false accusations of fraud and suggested that votes were not counted properly. However, when offered the chance to review the election documents, they declined. Six months later, still unable to accept the fact that he lost, O’Connor is a leading proponent for a recall. No one likes a sore loser, Jim.

The Puppeteer: It’s been widely reported that the main “mastermind” behind the entire recall effort is none other than Lynne Breyer. Lynne’s troubled past was first brought to light when she ran, unsuccessfully, for AZ GOP Secretary in 2014. Research done by AZGOPCandidates.blogspot.com shows that, as an LD 23 Executive Committee member, Lynne directed thousands of dollars to various PACs, without board approval. One of those PACs, Better Leaders for Arizona, spent over a million dollars attacking Governor Ducey…and Lynne could give no answers as to why she funneled any money there at all, let alone thousands of dollars which had been donated by hard working LD 23 PCs. Lynne has absolutely no business judging the actions of Republican leadership…not when she’s so badly mismanaged her own Legislative District coffers.

The Puppet: Not many Republicans in Tucson have ever heard of John Backer. Since 2010, Backer has voted in just ONE Republican primary, has only recently become a PC, and has never served on the state committee. Oh, and the one time he did bother to vote in a primary? It’s because his name was actually on the ballot (he finished dead last in a race for Pima County Supervisor). Most people believe that Backer is really doing the bidding of others or looking for a way to inject himself into a possible paid office in the next election. Who, we wonder, could be pulling the strings??

The Dishonest Secretary: Gabby Saucedo Mercer has long had trouble telling the truth. As a twice-failed candidate for Congress, she lied to her campaign staff and refused to pay the money she owed them. As a candidate for AZ GOP Secretary, she lied from the pulpit of the church about Jonathan Lines and participated in vicious religious bigotry against the Mormon faith (after being called out for her dishonesty, particularly while giving a speech in a house of worship, Mercer shrugged: “I’m not a preacher,” she said.) And now, Mercer is lying about Chairman Lines, suggesting that he is somehow preventing her from doing her job. To review, the Secretary is responsible for obtaining the permanent party records from his or her predecessor. The bylaws are clear; this is NOT the responsibility of the Chairman. Another important point, is the definition of “permanent records”, according to Robert’s Rules of Order, this means the minutes, which is the “record” of all actions. Despite this, Chairman Lines has attempted on multiple occasions to facilitate the transfer of records from the past Secretary to Gabby. As of yet, this has not occurred.

The Fake News Maven: It’s been well documented how Frosty Taylor, and her “fake news” Briefs, have for years relied on character assassination, dishonesty, and downright lies in order to bully anyone who isn’t a part of her small and shrinking faction. Unsurprisingly, Frosty used her Briefs to promote the candidacies of Jim O’Connor and Tristan Manos…both of whom lost in their bids for chairman. Lately, Taylor’s fake Republican newsletter has attacked, demeaned, and bullied Republican leadership and activists. This recall effort is par for the course for Frosty…her constant efforts to destabilize the GOP plays right into the Democrats’ hands. How proud she must be. Her latest “mistake” was publishing a letter supporting the recall attributed to Russell Pearce, less than 24 hours later she slid a correction in to say it was an error on her part and was actually from the relatively unknown Chairman of La Paz County. A “mistake” or planned strategy to start a false narrative of support for the recall?

The Failed Chairman: Russell Sais is the chairman of the La Paz County GOP. As such, he is responsible for recruiting PCs and building the party. At last count, La Paz County has…wait for it…exactly 3 precinct committeemen, with dozens of vacancies. Perhaps Chairman Sais’s time would be better spent bringing new people into the party and growing his ranks of PCs, rather than sending out bile-filled rants from his computer and attempting to tear down the duly elected leadership of the AZ GOP. A check of the Secretary of State site shows they have never filed the statutorily required committee and are operating illegally. Maybe Mr. Sais and his board should get their own house in order?

The pitch man: Tim Horn clearly loves the sound of his own voice. In December and January, he was the “front man” in trying to explain the illegal activities surrounding LD 23’s state committeemen elections. In a series of youtube videos, Horn attempted to defend the indefensible…illegal calls, random exclusions, failure to adhere to bylaws…all, as it turned out, to elect a state committee slate that would support Jim O’Connor. Following O’Connor’s defeat, Horn showed up at the AZ GOP and inplied that some wrong doing had occurred; this was wrong and an insult to the dozens of volunteers who ensured a fair and transparent voting process. And finally, now that it’s been revealed that LD 23 remains buried in debt from their legal case with the state party, is there any indication that their executive committee approved this expenditure>? What did Tim Horn know, and when did he know it?

The Two-Time Loser: Few people had a rougher January than Wes Harris. The LD 20 PC and State Committeeman put his name forward for Maricopa County Treasurer AND AZ GOP Treasurer…and lost both times! Perhaps most humiliating, Harris was the only candidate on the ballot for Maricopa County Treasurer…and was defeated, soundly, by a write in! That’s right…Harris is so unpopular, he can’t even win when there’s no one else on the ballot! Lately, Harris has taken to Facebook to lie about Jonathan Lines’ tenure as Yuma County Chairman, going so far as to accuse Lines of doing things that occurred before he was even elected. Nice try, Mr. Harris. Harris is no stranger to controversy, having been removed from the Diane Douglas campaign when his felony record for assault with a firearm was revealed in the press.

The Author/Publisher: Then we have the self-proclaimed author of the “call” that would actually force the election, Marianne Ferrari.  No one has seen this document, but this group says it does exist. Marianne is in fact a publisher whose travel guide books can be purchased on Amazon. Originally from New York, she’s a bit of a mystery in that she shows up for meetings, runs for state committeemen but seems to always be working for the destruction of candidates and the party and is known for her regular use of profanity.  Is she really a conservative or an angry woman bent on some sort of mission?

So there you have it. This merry band of Never Trumpers, sore losers, liars and puppets are using Fake News in working to undo a fairly contested election result. We can’t help but wonder how many Republican State Committeeman will publicly stand with this motley crew by signing a recall petition. We’ll certainly be watching.

Sonoran Alliance will gladly publish a response by any of the aforementioned individuals mentioned.

An Open Letter to Matthew Kenney, Executive Director, AZGOP

An Open Letter

From: Gabby Saucedo Mercer, Secretary of AZGOP

TO:  Matthew Kenney, Executive Director of AZGOP:

I am disappointed to find that you seriously misquoted me when speaking at the Executive Committee meeting about our conversation, which was on Friday, June 9th, not the Tuesday before the meeting. You stated at the exec meeting that I never mentioned wanting the records. I remember quite well what I said to you, and you got it completely wrong. I told you how frustrated I am, not having access to the records all the secretaries before me have always had. I informed you that a few groups of State Committeemen have come to me to ask if they can count on me to send out a Call Letter to the body, if they bring one to me. They are actually concerned that I will be unable to do my job! That Friday, I told you how I answered that question, which was “Absolutely! That’s my job!” I then asked you this question, “But how can I do my job, when I don’t even have the lists of the State Committeemen and pcs mailing addresses and emails?”

All you would say was “You’d have to speak to the counsel about that.” Speak to the counsel!!? What has he got to do with my tasks, according to the bylaws? But your only answer was “Speak to the counsel.” I must ask you if that reply was meant as a message to me that the AZGOP has no intention of allowing me to mail out an official call to a special meeting. That would go totally against what the bylaws require! And it would go against my own professional standards as well!

My reply to you was that I would not speak to any attorney. There is no reason for me to do so, on this subject, because the bylaws are clear in describing my duties, when the state committeemen bring a Call Letter to me. It is my duty to mail it to the membership. I am now seriously concerned about what will happen if a Call letter really is brought to me. Does the chairman intend to interfere with me doing my job of mailing an official call letter? I would like an answer to this question: is the AZGOP leadership going to refuse to give me the mailing addresses and postage, so I can fulfill my duty to mail the Call Letter, if I am asked to mail one? According to the bylaws, If the state committeemen deliver a Call Letter to the secretary, that letter becomes the official business of the party. If the AZGOP refuses to mail that letter, I believe that will be an intentional breach of the bylaws!

Matthew, I must insist that you retract the misquoted statement you made at the Flagstaff executive meeting, regarding what I said to you on Friday June 9th.  I am personally tired of the way you and Lines and other establishment Republicans are calling for unity but keep attacking Republicans that dare to speak up or challenge the lack of transparency and the smoke and mirrors.  If you do not know what I am referring to, check The Sonoran Alliance. I am sick and tired of the cowards who write for such blog/publication using pseudo names. I can tell that those fake named writers have ties to the AZ GOP establishment because NOBODY knew about my meeting at AZ GOP on February 21st or what transpired at such meeting, so how did Sonoran Alliance know all the details they then wrote about it? Kory Longhofer asked me in front of three witnesses who came with me, to wait two days so he could talk to Lines and then be able to give me an answer regarding the handing over of the records to me. I guess that must have been just to delay it, because I have never heard back from Kory.

Another comment that you made to me in that same June 9th conversation is really bothering me. It was in answer to a comment of mine. It was right after I reminded you that Lines promised many conservatives that he would not hire you, but not long after, he turned around and did it, anyway! I wanted you to understand how much it concerned me that our chairman would say one thing and do another.

But, Matthew, you corrected me! You said that Lines had nothing to do with the decision to hire you as executive director. You said “It was not his decision. It was the donors” who insisted that Lines hire you. I have to tell you, Matthew, that I was amazed by that remark! I thought to myself, “Did I just get a glimpse of who really is running our AZGOP? Did Matthew just tell me that it’s the big-money donors who control what the AZGOP does, and who tell the chairman what to do?”

Then I wondered, “Who are these donors who have so much power over the AZGOP?” Whoever they are, and I would like to find out, I do not believe they are on the side of the Republican Party, or the Republican voters of Arizona! Another question needs asking, “Is it possible these donors have an agenda all their own that we know nothing about and are using our party to execute it?” I am seriously concerned. Is this part of the reason why the AZGOP will not give me the permanent records, and why they did the same to our treasurer, for so long? How many more questions does this ask and answer? A lot, I bet.

Respectfully,

Gabriela S. Mercer
Secretary, AZ GOP

More Fake News: Frosty Taylor promotes whacky conspiracy theory about party finances, gets smacked down by party treasurer

By Calamity June

Earlier this week, Frosty Taylor published yet another conspiracy-laden post about Arizona Republican Party Finances. Using the same lies and innuendo, she suggested that the party was attempting to sideline duly elected treasurer Bob Lettieri and prevent him from doing his job.

Foil HatIn fact, she made this assertion without even ATTEMPTING to reach out to Treasurer Lettieri…to find out if her story was true.

And what prompted this baseless and vile accusation? The fact that Chairman Jonathan Lines, in consultation with the treasurer himself, has brought on a new team to ensure 100% compliance at the state party.

Oh, the horror!

To his credit, Mr. Lettieri, who actually ran against the Lines slate at the January State meeting, immediately responded to Frosty’s post, setting the record straight:

Red Curve is not replacing me as Treasurer for I am irreplaceable. Joking aside, the focus of the time I spend at the AZGOP office is to review information not to perform accounting functions. The more accurate and reliable the information I work with makes the reporting I am responsible for more timely and reliable. It is critical that the required FEC and State reporting be timely and accurate to prevent penalties for late and inaccurate filing.  While in the process of reviewing the accounting information I have made recommendations that improvements were needed for me to have more reliance in the information I needed from accounting. Thus, changes, have been made that will result in improvements to both the quality of accounting information and meeting required filing deadlines. Red Curve was hired with my concurrence as Treasurer base on careful consideration with Chairman Lines and Matthew Kenny.

Lettieri concludes:

Please contact me with your concerns or if you need additional information about RedCurve. I believe that the AZGOP is making great strides to demonstrate transparency and these posts are counterproductive to our efforts to bring unanimity to the Party.

But of course, Frosty won’t do this. Why? Because she is dishonest. She’s not a journalist or a reporter. She’s a rabble-rousing hater. Her aim is to lie, to tear down, to berate, and to destroy the institutions of the party. Instead of clearing up any confusion with a simple phone call, she attempted to create controversy and confusion.

Nice try, Frosty. Despite your best efforts, you’ve once again been called out for your lies. Despite running on opposite slates, Chairman Lines and Treasurer Lettieri are working together to further the goals of the party and win elections.

And not even your fake news site can take that fact away.

‘Republican’ Briefs, Anything But Republican, Has Become Conspiracy Ranting Post

By Calamity June

There is a scene in the off beat comedy, “So I Married and Axe Murderer,” when the lead character’s mother refers to a supermarket tabloid as “the paper” giving it an air of authority and credibility. Amused, her son responds, “mom, I find it interesting that you refer to the Weekly World News as ‘the paper.’”

Which brings us to another fictional publication that far too many people still read as facts, instead of the fake news that it really is: Frosty Taylor’s Republican Briefs.

As we’ve chronicled before, Frosty spends her days not supporting republican candidates, or advancing conservative principles. Instead, she is a clearing house for bizarre conspiracy theories, gratuitous attacks on GOP office holders, and outright lies. She gives voice to anyone with a grudge, and while she fancies herself a journalist who covers Republican politics, what she really provides is a cesspool of gossip and tabloid trash.

And that was before this weekend.

On Saturday, Frosty printed what can only be described as a convoluted, deranged rant, suggesting that “smart meters affect the human heart.’ This delusional, conspiracy-laden thought should not be encouraged, or given voice in a Republican magazine. We can only wonder if Frosty will next focus on chem trails or vaccines. Either way, she does a disservice to her readers…at least those she has left.

Then on Sunday, Frosty printed, verbatim and without seeking comment, a vicious attack on Arizona GOP Chairman Jonathan Lines. Even worse, she hides behind the words of Navajo county Chairman Steven Slaton, who has done a horrendous job recruiting PCs (he has fewer than 20) and mobilizing Republicans, seems to have time to hurl lies about our State GOP.

At issue is Chairman Lines Memorial Day visit to the World War II Memorial in Hawaii. Frosty and Chairman Slaton use this trip to honor our heroes by suggesting that the chairman used party funds to make the trip. They did not ask the chairman directly, or ask anyone at party headquarters whether or not this is true. It’s easier just to make the suggestion, without bothering to ask for comment.

Frosty and Steven Slaton may not believe in fairness or full disclosure, but we do…so we asked the chairman whether he used party funds for his trip to Hawaii: “Absolutely not. I was invited by a close friend of mine, and I wanted to represent the party with communities that have historically been ignored by our party. I offered to write my friend a personal check for the expense…he refused,  and picked up the cost of my trip himself. At no time did I ever consider using party funds for this activity. Any insinuation to the contrary is a lie.’

Seems pretty clear to us.

Slaton and Frosty also seem to take issue with a number of other AZ GOP activities, none of which are in the least bit controversial or out of the ordinary. Chairman Lines has already explained the legal debt that he inherited (and is working hard to pay off without impacting the party’s operating budget) along with requesting non-disclosure agreements from any staff or officers who come into contact with sensitive financial information. Perhaps Frosty and Slaton would prefer it if the party ledger were made available to anyone, including democrats!

There’s a reason that the vast majority of party activists now get their news from the GOP daily newsletter, ignoring the daily dose of gossip and lies from Frosty Taylor.

But to those who continue to open the Briefs, perhaps this will be the final straw for you…there’s just no reason to click on the link.

Failed Chairman Cries Wolf to Frosty’s Fake News

By Calamity June

Tom Morrissey

Tom Morrissey

Four years ago, Tom Morrissey walked out of the AZ GOP office for the last time. In his wake, he left the party in a massive financial hole, missing equipment stolen by former staff, and ethical questions swirling regarding alleged kickbacks and improper use of Republican Party funds.

When Morrissey attempted a comeback two years later in a bid to become Maricopa County GOP chairman, he finished 3rd in a 3-person race.

It is hard to imagine a worse messenger on the issues of transparency and financial disclosure. Remember when Tom Morrisey’s state party used to pay thousands of dollars in “consulting fees” to a towing company owned by a party staffer that Morrisey had claimed to fire?

And yet, on Thursday, Morrissey ran to possibly the only outlet in Arizona that has any interest in what he has to say: The Republican Briefs, better known as Frosty’s Fake News.

The substance of Mr. Morrissey’s attack is largely irrelevant, but here it goes. Morrissey is shocked…SHOCKED…that the Arizona GOP is keeping sensitive financial information private by requesting non-disclosure agreements from anyone in possession of proprietary documents.

This is standard operating procedure. It protects the party. It protects GOP donors. And it protects the signers, who can operate with confidence knowing that the documents they have access to will be kept in the strictest of confidence from those that might use the information for nefarious purposes.

While Morrissey’s attacks are baseless, and the clear rantings of a failed chairman who was unable to execute even the most basic tasks of a Party leader, the real shame, as usual, goes to Frosty Taylor, and her misguided and ultimately unsuccessful attempt to impugn the integrity of Chairman Jonathan Lines and his professional team at the AZ GOP.

While Frosty’s #FakeNews gives unfettered access to every personal attack, unfounded rumor and bald faced lie, she’s been remarkably silent when it comes to supporting Republicans and attacking Democrats.

While Lines and the GOP have relentlessly pointed out the thousands of dollars accepted by liberal Kyrsten Sinema from known sex-traffickers, and Ruben Gallego’s hypocritical attacks on GOP rock-star Martha McSally, Frosty’s Fake News has chosen instead to train fire on fellow Republicans.

As we’ve said before, perhaps she’d be more comfortable working for the Democrats…she’s probably the best ally they have.

Maricopa County GOP Chair Congratulates New AZGOP Executive Team

Chris HerringI join in with Govenor Ducey and Republican’s around the state in congratulating the new AZGOP executive team of Matthew Kenney and Torunn Sinclair.  We have the important task of ensuring Arizona remains a bastion of conservatism in 2018 and that we do all we can to help get Republicans elected. I know the new team shares this singular focus.

When seeking the office of Chairman of the Maricopa County Republican Party I made a commitment to end factional fighting between the county and state party, as far as it was in my power to do so. I believe this new team understands the importance of working hand in hand as one Republican Party.

I look forward to working with the new team to build a stronger party, and to ensure that all of our candidates in Maricopa County are given the tools they need to run successful campaigns, that all of our precinct committeemen are fully equipped to work for candidates of their choice, and that we ensure a path to victory for all Republicans in the general election.

MCRC Briefs Defines Party Purity, Defies Party Unity

By Ella Gent

It’s an old and tired act. And for too many years, it has polluted the dark corner of Arizona Politics where conspiracy theories, hatred, and attacks rule the day.

We’re referring of course, to Frosty Taylor’s #FakeNews site, the MCRC Briefs.

Monday morning, Frosty’s readers were treated to yet another example of #FakeNews when she printed, verbatim, an outright lie about Chairman Jonathan Lines, quoting a letter he never wrote from a voter he’s never met.

There’s no such letter. Just another Frosty Fable.

First off, despite her intentions to confuse her audience, Frosty’s #FakeNews is in no way affiliated with the Maricopa County Republican Committee, which is ably run by Chris Herring. But Frosty wants to give you the impression that she is the voice of the County party.

She isn’t. But the lies don’t stop there.

No, Frosty has created a cottage industry of using her shrinking platform to attack Republicans. She goes after elected officials. She berates Precinct Committeemen. She bullies anyone who doesn’t adhere to her myopic world view, and despite her claims of impartiality, writes the kind of slanted and biased articles that would make the writers of Pravda stand up and take notice.

Worst of all is that Frosty, despite modeling herself as a champion of grassroots Republicans, doesn’t seem much interested in advancing Republican causes, candidates, or policies. Browse through any one of her blog posts in the last month, and once you get through the poor writing, misspellings, and non-sequiturs, you won’t find criticisms of Democrats or the leftists agenda, no information of registering voters or any pro-GOP information. What you will find are attacks on Republicans, outlandish paranoia, and lie after lie after lie. If Frosty Taylor so enjoys attacking Republicans, perhaps she’d be more comfortable as a Democrat!

All of this would be moderately amusing if not slightly annoying, if Frosty weren’t now actively engaged in trying to bring chaos to the Arizona GOP. In January, Frosty strongly backed the two losing candidates for Chair in Maricopa County and for the Arizona GOP, using her blog to push false narratives, ask slanted questions and lies about other candidates. Despite her best efforts, both Chris Herring and,two weeks later, Jonathan Lines were elected. Could people finally be seeing through the falsehoods?

But Frosty just couldn’t accept that she and her candidates lost. Recently, in conjunction with Jim O’Connor, she has begun to whisper about and organize a “recall” effort of Chairman Lines. While absolutely absurd on its face (Lines has been in office less than 2 months, just concluded a wildly successful Executive Committee Meeting, and is poised to break records for fundraising at this month’s Legislative Salute), there’s really no cause or justification for taking this action. But that won’t stop Frosty…she’ll keep attacking her fellow Republicans and damage the party until she gets her way.

Or until everyone stops reading.

Frosty Taylor / MCRC Briefs are welcome to submit their own response. That door is always open.
