Major Rallies Scheduled Tomorrow Across Arizona Against Planned Parenthood

Friends,

Tomorrow morning I’ll be speaking at a rally against Planned Parenthood. Like many of you, I have been sickened by the videos showing a behind the scenes view of the abortion industry.

We’ll start at 10 am across the street from the Planned Parenthood headquarters at 4751 N 15th Street (map) in Phoenix.

Congressman David Schweikert and Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery will also be speaking, along with members of the community and medical professions.

This is a great chance to show the state that our party is the party of life, and an opportunity to gain additional attention from the media to help spread the word about the horrors shown on the videos. In addition to the Phoenix event, there are five other demonstrations throughout the state:

Chandler
Planned Parenthood, 610 N Alma School Road (map) 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Flagstaff
Planned Parenthood, 2500 S Woodlands Village Boulevard (map) 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Glendale
Planned Parenthood, 5771 W Eugie (map) 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Tempe
Planned Parenthood, 1250 E Apache Boulevard (map) 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Tucson
Meet at 2120 N Beverly Avenue (map) 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.

I hope to see you Saturday morning!

Doug Ducey, Bill Montgomery conduct tele-townhall on federal immigrant dumping in Arizona

Earlier this evening, I was able to call in to a tele-townhall on the important and urgent issue of immigrant dumping in Arizona. The tele-townhall was hosted by gubernatorial candidate Doug Ducey and also included Maricopa County Attorney, Bill Montgomery. Approximately 3,000 individuals also joined in on the call.

The issue of immigrant dumping began last week when the federal government began busing illegal border crossers from Texas to Arizona and other locations. What is especially disturbing is that many of these immigrants are unaccompanied minors and women and small children.

Many of these individuals are being dropped at the Greyhound Bus depot in Phoenix in the middle of the Arizona heat. (Breitbart’s Brandon Darby wrote a feature article about this last week.)

Tonight’s call with State Treasurer Doug Ducey and MCAO Bill Montgomery revealed that the Obama administration is the driving force behind the immigrant dumping taking place. Montgomery even went as far as to describe the situation as a humanitarian crisis in the making. Because many of these immigrants are being dropped off in the heat of summer, Montgomery explained how under normal Arizona law this type of offense (abandoning a minor under 16) would be prosecuted as a class 4 felony child abuse.

Doug Ducey affirmed Montgomery’s claim that this was a humanitarian crisis developing and that President Obama had created yet another “national scandal” that it was not willing to take responsibility for.

Both Ducey and Montgomery were adamant in their charge that the federal government was not acting in the best interest of the immigrants, taxpayers, law-abiding citizens or the State of Arizona.

Several callers asked question during the call including Diane in Mesa who wanted to know how much illegal immigration was costing Americans. Another caller asked why or what the Governor could do. One caller asked about the response of Republicans to which both Ducey and Montgomery agreed that faith-based organizations can and are playing a role in addressing the immediate need to help.

Given Arizona’s inherent geographical location, this issue is not going away anytime soon and both Montgomery recognize that. But Doug Ducey remains committed to border security and putting pressure on the federal government to enforce existing laws and empowering Arizona to fulfill its role.

As Arizona’s next Governor, I am confident that Doug Ducey will mount a proper response to federally-manufactured crisis like this while advocating and soliciting humanitarian assistance from Arizonans who understand the need to enforce the law while being compassionate to those in need.

County Attorney Bill Montgomery Calls On Kyrsten Sinema to Release Client List

“Kyrsten Protects Criminals, Vernon Protects Families”

Phoenix, AZ – Maricopa County‘s top law enforcement officer, County Attorney Bill Montgomery, is demanding that Democratic Congressional candidate Kyrsten Sinema support her claim to having been a criminal defense attorney and reveal which cases she worked on.  Over the course of her career, Sinema has claimed to have worked for murderers and other violent criminals but refuses to say which ones.

In a 2006 interview, Kyrsten Sinema boasted about her work as a “criminal defense attorney who represents murderers.”    Shawn Macomber, “The Marginalized Mainstream,” The American Spectator, June 14, 2006.

Montgomery is joining Vernon Parker and the entire Arizona Republican Party in demanding Sinema release her client list to support her claims and reveal just who she stands with.

“Democrat Kyrsten Sinema claims to have made a career out of protecting criminals.  She shouldn’t hide who she has defended now just because she is running for office.  Arizona families deserve to know the whole truth so why is Sinema keeping who she claims to have defended a secret.  Vernon Parker has the support of national victims rights groups because he is committed to protecting law-abiding citizens.  I look forward to working with him when he gets to Congress,” said Bill Montgomery, Maricopa County Attorney.

*On Wednesday, the National Organization of Victims of Juvenile Lifers spoke out against Kyrsten Sinema’s “extreme and alarming record on victim’s rights” and gave their support to Vernon Parker.
