State Senator Don Shooter announced that he has been endorsed for re-election by Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
“I’m honored to have the support of one of Arizona’s great leaders and appreciate his endorsement.” said Shooter.
The Sheriff’s endorsement was as follows:
“I have spent my career doing what was right, upholding our Constitution, and serving and protecting the people who elected me. As a public servant, that is what I swore to do. That is why I am happy to endorse Don Shooter for re-election, because he has served with integrity, battled for our Constitutional rights, and because no one works harder in the Arizona State Senate for his district than Don does.”
Don Shooter was elected in 2010 and re-elected again in 2012. He has been named “Hero of the Taxpayer” and “Friend of the Family” among other honors. He represents Legislative District 13, which includes Yuma, much of the West Valley in Maricopa County and Wickenburg. He serves as Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee and is a member of the Public Safety Committee and the Natural Resources and Rural Affairs Committee as well.
