Increases Spending Levels from House-Passed Fiscal Year 2012 Budget Resolution

Washington, D.C. – Republican Congressman Jeff Flake, who represents Arizona’s Sixth District, today voted against H.J. Res. 79, the continuing resolution to fund the federal government through November 18, which increases federal spending levels by $24 billion over the House-passed FY2012 budget resolution.

“Despite strong rhetoric calling for austerity, merely a month after the debt ceiling deal was passed, Congress is back to increasing spending,” said Flake. “This is not what we should be doing.”

  1. Flake will vote for it as soon as he gets political cover from Boehner and the Arizona delegation. Get ready for it.

What we are interested in, Mr. Flake, is your current position on immigration.

You, along with Liberal Democrat Congressman Luis Gutierrez from Chicago, co-authored the STRIVE Act of 2007. That legislation, which failed to pass, contained within it not one but three distinct amnesty proposals. For those who may have forgotten, Luis Gutierrez travelled all the way from Chicago to Phoenix to protest SB1070.

One of the co-sponsors of Mr. Flake’s STRIVE Act of 2007 was none other than then Congressman Rahm Emanuel who went on to become Obama’s White House Chief of Staff and who is now Mayor of Chicago.

Are you still backing the amnesty proposals supported by Luis Gutierrez, Rahm Emanuel and B. Hussein Obama, Mr. Flake? I presume you do because you post press releases at this website about everything but your position on immigration.

Can’t you just stay on point?

FWIW: your use of Amnesty has earned you an honorary “Webster’s Fail.” Please use words according to what they mean, not what you wish they meant.

Amnesty: An undertaking by the authorities to take no action against specified offenses or offenders during a fixed period.

With that definition in mind you can now read (perhaps for the first time) the complained of legislation to see there was no amnesty. In contrast, there were conditional means for accepting as Americans and as legal aliens those who can make America stronger.

You know, in contrast, who did favor Amnesty? Ronald Reagan, who signed into law the Immigration Reform & Control Act of 1986.

Sorry to learn you hate Reagan … some conservative you are.

ROFL! By now everyone who reads these blogs knows that you are a radical left wing Liberal and a none too bright one as well!

What amesty means is that aliens who enter this country illegally aren’t subject to the existing legal actions against them under the law. Instead, they are given some other, newly created means around those legal actions AND, ultimately, provided a “pathway to citizentship”. That’s what the Flake’s bill provided for.

I don’t give a rat’s butt about Ronald Reagan. He’s a dead president and he’s out of the picture regarding what is going on today. You’re whipping a dead horse, Meathead, LOL!

        • True Conservative says

Yea, I give you the dictionary definition, which you then unilateraly declare wrong, and I’m the meathead?

You think Ronald Reagan is nothing more than a dead president who is not relevant, and I’m the one who is not a liberal?

I am a true conservative, and a highly informed one at that. As anyone who reads this blog knows, you’re nothing but an semi-literate fool who is only capable of repeating what is fed to you by extremists. You routinely dismiss the guiding principles of conservatism and in their place insert bizzare theories.

Go back to claiming the Clintons are murderers, that Bush was behind 9/11 and that Obama is a Kenyan. At least those were interesting. All you’ve done lately is rail against common sense and fact-based analysis of history.

I wouldn’t be surprise to learn you were a liberal plant who is only here to make conservatives look bad.

          • Wow. That’s a bit of an assumption there “true conservative”. I’m still confused by the irony of your screen name.

          • True Conservative says

Neo – what assumption is that.? My nic has no irony. I consider Reagan a true conservative. I share many, if not all, his values. Many here do not.

Tea Party members give conservatism a bad name. Sorry, that’s just the truth.

          • Conservative American says

            @ True Conservative

Who cares about Webster’s definition? He’s been dead longer than Reagan, LOL!

This isn’t a college course, Meathead, this is real life politics. Want to look up “Obamacare” in Webster’s? Tell us what you find. Want to look up “homophobe”? That literally means fear of homosexuals but common usage by homosexual activists has brought it to mean someone who is anti-gay. Why don’t you look up “RINO” in Webster’s? Tell us what you find!

You’d be alright if you weren’t such a Meathead, Meathead, LOL!

          • True Conservative says

This is one of those times I really wish English only had passed – then we wouldn’t have to listen to illiterates such as Con Am.

We get it – you “don’t need no fancy book learnin’.” For the rest of us, English is how we communicate. We use words for the meaning they normally take.

You somehow want us all to follow your hillbilly prose. Sorry, go stomp your feet and hold your breath elsewhere – adults are talking here, and we’re talking in English, a language you don’t understand.

          • Conservative American says

ROFL!!!!!!!! You’re such a Meathead that you can’t even make the distinction between language and definitions, LOL!

I don’t know how to break this to you, Meathead, but dictionary definitions are constantly changing. They change to reflect the current and common usage of words.

True Conservative wrote: “…adults are talking here…” So who let you in, Meathead? Do your parents know that you’re posting on this site? If they knew, they’d probably ground you for an entire week, LOL!
