Regarding that “scathing” Dept of Justice report being used as a club against Sheriff Arpaio, isn’t this the Dept of Justice, under Eric Holder, who attacked SB1070 before he had even read the bill?

Isn’t Eric Holder under investigation for Fast and Furious for deliberately allowing guns to flow to Mexican drug cartels, and that resulted in the death of Arizona Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry?

Isn’t the Civil Rights Division, under Assistant Attorney General Thomas Perez, the same one that has been sanctioned for more than $4 million for frivolous lawsuits and misconduct?

Thomas Perez once served as president of Casa de Maryland, a radical open borders group that encourages ILLEGAL aliens not to speak with the police and urges local governments not to enforce federal fugitive warrants against them.

Thomas Perez fought to mandate that Mexican ID be recognized as valid photo ID in the United States, even though two thirds of Mexico’s states and districts don’t accept them because they are so rife with fraud.

It was Thomas Perez who demanded the dismissal of charges of voter intimidation against the New Black Panthers, despite videotape evidence and documented testimony from Bartle Bull, a civil rights activist who supported Robert Kennedy.

Thomas Perez’s Voting Section suppressed the military vote in 2010 by dragging its feet, so that many of our fighting men and women overseas don’t have a place to register to vote, and don’t get their ballots in time for their votes to be counted.

The barrage of “investigations” against Arpaio began 49 days after Barack Obama was inaugurated, and you don’t think these attacks are politically motivated?  Do you believe that the DOJ cares about the Civil Rights of US citizens?  I think it spends most of its time subverting our country’s immigration and voting laws.

  1. Arizona Ranger says

All of the points raised by Anita Christy are “right on”! This whole charade of actions by the Dept. of Justice, Eric Holder, Assist. AG Thomas Perez are completely POLITICALLY motivated. Our Sheriff Apaio, one of the truest patriots west or east of the Mississippi, has been attacked for what? For making sure we all obey our laws and those who break our laws are apprehended. That is his “crime”!!

I have no doubt that some changes can and will be forthcoming in the Maricopa Sheriff’s Department. Change is part of our lives and hopefully it will make the department a better place. But for now, the one thing we CANNOT afford to change is our Sheriff!! I admire his guts and honesty and applaud all of his efforts. I stand behind him and support him, both politically and with my purse. I know that all law abiding citizens of our county, and indeed the state, need to keep Joe Arpaio as our Sheriff. Three cheers for JOE!!

  2. Obama etal had this action in the chamber ready to fire at will. It is also no coincidence that they pulled the trigger just four days after SCOTUS agreed to hear SB 1070; what better way to prejudice the court that enforcement of immigration laws is cruel, racial profiling, and unconstitutional.

  3. True Conservative says

Lots of good reasons to dislike Holden and particularly Perez. Most notably the failure to defend, on appeal, the default judgements against 3 of the 4 New Black Panther defendants.

Note that well: the CRD had won default judgements against the four and then Perez allow 3 of the 4 to walk by not challenging their appeal – effectively dismissing the charges. I hope the Phili case becomes a huge issue against Obama, as the New York Times recently reported it will.

However, three contentions with the original article.

    1) No, this Civil Rights Division, under Assistant Attorney General Thomas Perez, is not the same one that has been sanctioned for more than $4 million for frivolous lawsuits and misconduct. That figure belongs to the Reno run CRD under Clinton. Research matters. When you make a claim, or repeat a claim, make sure your claims are real. In a list so well written as the one above, all it takes is one mistake (especially on obvious one like this) to make the author seem ill-informed. That is not good for the (R) side.

    2) Arpaio has fought with the DOJ under three administrations. This latest round is not the first round.

    3) Attacking the accusers without an offer of proof of the accused’s innocence simply makes you seem desperate. It seems odd to complain about a lack of enforcement from the CRD and to then complain about too aggressive an enforcement. That shows selective prosecution, but does not demonstrate that Arpaio is not guilty.

Remember, Arpiao is not accused of “just doing his job.” He is accused of using illegal racial profiling. Arguments can be made that racial profiling should be legal, but for now it is not. You can not complain about the failure of the fed to enforce civil misdemeanors in the form of immigration violations while defending the deliberate violation of federal felonies in the form of racial profiling.

What part of illegal don’t you understand?

Arpaio is part of the right wing, but he is not a part of the conservative movement. Conservatives believe in the rule of law and in personal accountability. Arpaio and his supporters seek to evade both of those virtues when it so suits them.

If there is one hallmark of conservativism it is this: demand better from yourself. Situational ethics is the provence of the liberals. Don’t be the right wing version of a libtard. Don’t support Arpaio. Demand better.

NOTICE: The above poster, True Conservative, is a paid propagandist for the liberal left posing as a Conservative for the express purpose of discrediting real Conservatives.

She claims that “foreign governments” are tracking her internet surfing. She claims that our federal government is “big brother” intruding in her bedroom. She, of course, offers no proof whatsoever for any to this.

With TC it always comes down to black helicopters, conspiracy theories and flouride in the water because her agenda is to make real Conservatives appear to be a bunch of whackos.

    • What a great high-wire act! Circus Vargas? Citizens For A Better Arizona have brought you the above message, copies can be purchased for $1.50 at any Filibertos restaurant. LOL!

      • True Conservative says

Yet again, when you can’t live up to the standards of conservative ideology you retreat to bigotry. Sure, ConAm will come along to defend you, he thinking that bigotry is an important aspect of the right, but he’s an odd mix of liar and village idiot, so his support will do you no good.

Keep posting like like this, it hurts Arpaio when the world sees his support doesn’t come from the anti-illegal movement, but from the anti-Mexican crowd.

Just make sure you keep your comments limited to showing your support for the far-right. The conservative movement doesn’t want you, doesn’t need you. Conservatives defeated the Southern Democrats to win civil rights in the 60’s, freed the slaves and then won the biggest freedom fight of the all – the Cold War.

Go back to the Democratic Party from whose ooze you crawled. Your inability to argue the facts makes you more suited for the left than it does the right.

        • Screw off. Nobody buys that garbage you wrote and the pitiful part is that you think someone might. Bigot? Pulled out your sure-fire weapon because you’ve been exposed for the fool you are. Sticks and stones, libtardo. Man, you are really screwed up.

          • True Conservative says

No, I selected bigot because it fit.

What, you thought you could toss in a “Filberto” reference and not have anyone catch you offering yet another slight on Mexicans?

Conservatives are not bigots, and are not afraid to use the term when appropriate. Do the liberals misuse the term, sure, BUT THAT OFFER NO COVER TO YOU TO ACT AS A BIGOT WITH IMPUNITY.

If you don’t like being called a bigot – and I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt for a moment – then don’t act like one. Don’t endorse the needless lies of the wingnuts.

Don’t claim that MEXICANS are 9 out of 10 illegals, when they are actually 5 of 10.

Don’t claim that illegal MEXICANS kill 45,000 Americans every year, when no factual basis for that claim exists.

Don’t claim that MEXICANS come from a culture of rape and pedophilia and being that culture here to America.

            Yada

            Yada

            Yada

Conservatives hate illegal immigration, not Mexicans. Illegal is not a race. We can make the case for stronger immigration laws and more secure borders without resorting to the style of demonization and hate-mongering you put forward in post after post after post.

So, if you truly are not a bigot, then I apologize for calling you one. Your posts lead to that conclusion, but that’s the past, let’s see what you write in the future.

            • The biggest mouths calling for Arpaio’s resignation/defeat are Mexicans. Raul Grijalva – Mexican. Randy Parraz – Mexican. Steve Gallardo – Mexican. Every day local stations feature whining Mexicans – not Central Americans, not South Americans, not Cubans, not Spaniards, but Mexicans. The foreign flags being waived in the streets are Mexican. Mexican Mexican Mexican. For all we know, you’re a Mexican. Whether you are or your not your sophomoric approach (“Don’t be the right wing version of a libtard”) is hilarious. As a anti-Arpaio troll, you have failed miserably. Better have Parraz write you some material.

              • True Conservative says

So we are back “bigot,” and so quickly.

All the men you list are actually AMERICANS.

Grijalva was born in Tucson, Arizona, and graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1967.

Randy was born and raised in Sacramento, California.

Gallardo was born October 25, 1968, in Phoenix, Arizona. He is a forth generation Arizona native.

When I look across the political spectrum I see people I disagree with, but I recognize they are Americans.

Not so much you. Heck, your bigoted inferior intellect is so afraid of Mexicans that you imagine anyone who opposes you must be one.

Well, I’m not, but would be fine with it if I was. My family actually pre-dates America, landing in Rhode Island in the early 1600’s. A male member of my family has died in every major war since the Revolution. Many of the women in my family are proud members of the DAR.

And we all hate your form of bigotry.

Your post reveal you for who you are. Sucks to be you.

              • So you now admit you are bedding down with Raul “boycott Arizona” Grijalva, union goon and reconquista Parraz, and screaming gang-banger Gallardo – and you come here trying to sell it. I’ve got your bigotry in my pants.

              • True Conservative says

One wonders at the bizarre inner workings of your brain and the twists of fact and logic it must endure to sustain such stupidity.

              • “Raul Grijalva – Mexican. Randy Parraz – Mexican. Steve Gallardo – Mexican.”

                Incorrect.

They are all Americans, citizens of the United States.

The U. S. Attorney for Arizona, Dennis Burke, resigned his position in the wake of his role in the “Fast and Furious” scandal.

Burke also admitted to participating is a smear campaign against BATFE Agent and “Fast and Furious” whistle blower John Dodson:

“Former Ariz. US Attorney admits leaking memo smearing Fast and Furious whistle-blower
By Matthew Boyle – The Daily Caller Published: 12:54 AM 11/09/2011 | Updated: 2:16 PM 11/09/2011

Former Arizona U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke, who resigned in August, admitted late Tuesday that he leaked a document aimed at smearing Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agent John Dodson, an Operation Fast and Furious whistle-blower.

The memo that leaked this summer ended up being an attempt by Justice Department officials to cast aspersions on Dodson — one of the leading ATF Fast and Furious whistle-blowers. Burke admitted he leaked the memo in a Tuesday afternoon letter to Justice Department Inspector General Cynthia Schnedar.

      • True Conservative says

Damn good news – I hope they get all these F&F bastards for the harm they caused.

Have to ask – what does this have to do with Arpaio engaging in illegal racial profiling?

Tip of the hat for sharing more good reasons for dispising Obama and Holden.

Wag of the finger for doing it simply to derail an examination of Arpaio’s illegal behavior.

        • Conservative American says

Typical liberal tactic, LOL! First you say you hope they get them and then you ask a loaded question about Arpaio.

          Here’s the basic story:

“DOJ Files Suit Against Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio
Obama Steps Up His War Against Arizona”

“The Justice Department filed a lawsuit Thursday against Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio. The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in Phoenix alleges that the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) and the county of refusing to fully cooperate in a federal investigation into allegations that the sheriff and his deputies are guilty of racial discrimination.”

          http://voices.yahoo.com/doj-files-suit-against-arizona-sheriff-joe-arpaio-6723920.html?cat=9

So the lawsuit against Arpaio was about “refusing to fully cooperate” and NOT about racial discrimination or racial profiling per se.

Now let’s have a look at the actual legal document in United States of America v. Maricopa County, Arizona; Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office; and Joseph M. Arpaio in his official capacity as Sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona. Here is a link to a PDF of the actual court document:

          http://s3.documentcloud.org/documents/8091/0902justice-department-lawsuit-on-arpaio.pdf

At the top you will see Thomas E. Perez and right under his name you will see the name of Dennis K. Burke who was serving as the U. S. Attorney in Arizona.

So Burke, as U. S. Attorney in Arizona, was going after Arpaio. Who is this guy Burke, going after Arpaio on behalf of the Obama DOJ?

First of all, Burke was Governor Napolitano’s Chief of Staff from 2003-2008. He followed her to Washington where he became Napolitano’s senior adviser on border security and law enforcement. He was a member of Obama’s transition team specializing in homeland security.

Within a month after Obama appointed Burke U. S. Attorney in Arizona, operation “Fast and Furious” began. Burke resigned after testifying at a closed door congressional hearing on “Fast and Furious”. He admitted leaking information about a “Fast and Furious” whistle blower, BATFE Agent John Dodson, as part of a deliberate smear campaign by the DOJ. He provided inaccurate information to the DOJ stating that no guns bought in Arizona reached Mexico. The DOJ requested the information to respond to a congressional query regarding “Fast and Furious”.

So who was going after Arpaio? A political operative very closely tied with Janet Napolitano who provided inaccurate and misleading information to the DOJ in response to a congressional query and who has admitted to leaking information about a “Fast and Furious” whistle blower, BATFE Agent John Dodson, as part of a deliberate smear campaign. Utimately, Burke resigned as U. S. Attorney in Arizona.

THAT is who was going after Sheriff Arpaio. It is quite simply not at all credible to believe that the lawsuit against Arpaio was not politically motivated, given Burke’s history, or that Burke was functioning with integrity, as U. S. Attorney in Arizona, given the documented history of his egregious unprofessional, unethical behavior.

          • True Conservative says

            G-D you are dense.

The lawsuits to compel cooperation were part of the effort to examine whether Arpaio engaged in unlawful racial profiling.

Now that the investigation over the charge is, as I stated, that Arpaio engaged in illegal racial profiling.

Further, this was a three-year investigation, dragged out by Arpaio’s illegal refusal to comply with federal subpoenas, so it is unlikely to be some come-lately cover for F&F.

Furthermore, it clearly has not done a damn thing to slow down the F&F investigation (thank G-d) and no thinking person (i.e. someone not given to black-helicopter conspiracy delusions) would ever think that it could affect F&F.

You would have to have no understanding of the legal system to think such a bizarre conspiracy could exist – but we covered that already didn’t we? Your bizarre claim that a mid-investigation lawsuit to compel discovery and compliance is, unto itself, the goal of the investigation just reveals to be out of your depth.

The ultimate point is this: the charge is illegal racial profiling. You can’t defend his actions, so you attack the investigators. No, wait, the investigators are long-standing career attorneys who have worked under several administrations. You don’t go after them, you go after the political appointees, hoping you can slime down to the actual investigators.

If we accepted your logic, that because we don’t like the politics of the bosses then we can not trust any work done by the worker-bees, then I guess we should simply stop all federal prosecutions.

Oh, that’s right, as I stated before, you only want to avoid the conservative principles of rule of law and personal accountability when it affects your buddies, your heroes.

Like I said before, you may be in the right, but you are no conservative.

What part of illegal don’t you understand? Quit dodging the issue: defend, on the merits, that Arpaio did not commit illegal racial profiling.

After all, what part of illegal don’t you understand?

            • Conservative American says

              ROFL! ROFL! ROFL! 🙂

I just love it when you lose it, TC!

You do realize, of course, that you are now arguing for the progressive Democrat, radical leftist position, don’t you, “True Conservative”? Oooops! 😉

“Napolitano cuts Arpaio’s access to ICE programs”
              “Posted Dec 15, 2011, 1:02 pm”

              “Dylan Smith
              TucsonSentinel”

“In the wake of Justice Department allegations of widespread discrimination by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, the Department of Homeland Security has canceled an agreement that allows MCSO to detain illegal immigrants after an initial arrest for another crime.”

Hmmm, allegations! Result? Napolitano has seen to it that illegal aliens who have been arrested for another crime can’t be detained for the crime of having entered the U. S. illegally!

“DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano, a former Arizona governor, said Thursday that the department’s 287(g) agreement with Maricopa County was terminated immediately, and that Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s MCSO would no longer have access to the Secure Communities program.”

Well gee, what is the “Secure Communities” program?

“Restricting the sheriff’s access to Secure Communities means that MCSO won’t get immigration data back when they run an FBI check.”

              http://www.tucsonsentinel.com/local/report/121511_arpaio_dhs/napolitano-cuts-arpaios-access-ice-programs/

Well ain’t that something! The net result of the investigation of Sheriff Arpaio is that Obama’s liberal, leftist policies regarding illegal aliens and illegal immigration are furthered and law enforcement is actively hampered! Who would have thunk it?

Then, of course, we have the DOJ lawsuit against SB1070, seeking to further curb the ability of Arizona to address it’s illegal alien and illegal immigration problems.

What is it which ties together Obama’s attack on SB1070 and his attack on the ability of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office to detain illegals or even find out if they are in the FBI data base as a known illegal aliens?

Why it’s Dennis Burke! How is that?

Burke, as former U. S. Attorney in Arizona, represented the Obama DOJ in both it’s lawsuit against SB1070 and it’s lawsuit against Sheriff Arpaio! And what is Burke’s realtionship with Janet Napolitano? Why Burke was Napolitano’s chief of staff when she was Governor of Arizona! Well what happened to Burke when Janet went to Washington as part of the Obama administration? She took Burke with her, giving him a position in the Department of Homeland Security after Burke finished his duties as part of the Obama presidential transition team. Then what happened to Burke?

Why Burke was appointed U. S. Attorney in Arizona by Obama his own self where Burke represented the DOJ in both the SB1070 lawsuit and in the lawsuit against Sheriff Arpaio!

And who was this man, Burke, going after SB1070 and Sheriff Arpaio? Why he is the ethical man of utmost integrity who provided inaccurate, misleading information to the DOJ that no guns from Arizona made it into Mexico as part of the “Fast and Furious” program. He is the ethical man of utmost integrity who leaked information about a BATFE “Fast and Furious” whistle blower agent in a deliberate attempt to smear and discredit him. He is the man of such integrity that he resigned as U. S. Attorney in Arizona in the wake of the “Fast and Furious” scandal!

So Napolitano works to promote Obama’s progressive Democrat, liberal leftist policies regarding illegal aliens and illegal immigration at the expense of Arizonans. Her former chief of staff when she was Governor of Arizona, Dennis Burke, just happens to end up being appointed by Obama as U. S. Attorney in Arizona and represents the Obama DOJ in lawsuits against SB1070 and against Sheriff Arpaio, furthering Obama’s progressive Democrat, liberal leftist agenda. Then, of course, Burke goes down in flames behind the “Fast and Furious” scandal.

And what is TC’s position in all of this? Why it’s the progressive Democrat, radical left wing liberal position of Dennis Burke, Janet Napolitano and B. Hussein Obama! TC’s position is that Burke was right, Napolitano was right and Obama is right. TC stands squarely behind Obama and his administration!

That makes you a “True Liberal” and not a “True Conservative”. Ain’t that something!

Have a nice day, Miss TC! 🙂

              • True Conservative says

You’re just one hot mess of logic fail.

I’m not sure what dots you think you are connecting. You simply are not making sense.

You conjure up this black helicopter conspiracy hysteria where everyone is out to get Arizona, but you fail to make the case why they would want to do such a thing and you don’t offer any proof that they have done such a thing.

You simply make the naked declaration that because Arpaio is accused of something it must be a conspiracy. That’s just nuts.

Arpaio is accused of engaging in illegal racial profiling. All the actions you list above are consistent with how the fed is expected to act upon such a CRD finding. I’m sorry you are unfamiliar with the law, but that is no excuse for wingnuttery.

I keep waiting for you to address the issue on the merits instead of just attacking the accusers.

What part of illegal don’t you understand?

I join you in your dislike of Burke, but Burke didn’t write the report. It was written by career investigators who have worked for (D) and (R) administrations alike. They provided a very detailed report. Address that. (Please remember to read it first, I know how sometimes you forget …)

I don’t think Obama has done enough regarding illegal immigration, but I don’t blame him for going after SB1070 or Arpaio. I also reject the demonstratively false claims that he is an open-borders advocate. He doubled the number of boots on the border and has deported illegals at a faster rate than any previous president. We can say Obama hasn’t done enough – that’s a damn fact – but we can’t lie and say he has done nothing or that he wants to open the border to hordes of illegal.

Well, we can’t say that and remain a credible source for information. (CF, you and Zoo).

If we didn’t want Obama nosing in, then maybe we shouldn’t have outsourced the drafting of SB1070 to a eugenics lobbying group. Maybe we shouldn’t have created political pressure on him to intercede by acting like bigots. You are what brought Obama here. Instead of making the calm, reasoned argument for securing the border people like you thought it would be fun to demonize Mexicans and Mexican Americans in the process. Just look at Zoo’s post above: he thinks Americans with Mexican heritage can’t be considered true Americans – Do you really wonder why the nation thinks we are nuts?

We need real reform that has teeth AND is constitutionally sound AND is enacted in such a way that we don’t demonize one particular race, ethnicity or nationality.

I am sincere when I declare that illegal is not a race, and that conservatives oppose illegal immigration, not Mexicans or Hispanics or whatever else they want to identify themselves to be. You can oppose illegal immigration without being a bigot.

                You and Zoo disagree.

Even with that, we should be able to join to fight a common foe (the illegal immigrant) but you two keep feeding the left ammunition to attack the conservative movement and derail our efforts.

You are posterchild that makes all the lies the left likes to tell about the conservative movement seem true.

If you would just shut-up, let the adults pass real legislation, then we could go about solving this crises. As is, you are just in the way.

              • Conservative American says

ROFL! You’re really funny when you start twisting in the wind, TC, LOL! 🙂

Let’s clarify your postions on matters, shall we?

First, you contend that the lawsuit and the investigation of Sheriff Arpaio were conducted with integrity, in an ethical manner and were not politically motivated. This despite the fact that the former U. S. Attorney for Arizona, Dennis Burke, who represented the Obama DOJ in those matters, is known to have inaccurately told the DOJ that no guns from Arizona made it into Mexico as part of operation “Fast and Furious”. Despite the fact that Burke has admitted that he leaked information about a BATFE “Fast and Furious” whistle blower agent with the express intention of smearing and discrediting that agent. Despite the fact that Burke resigned as U. S. Attorney in Arizona in the aftermath of his role in the “Fast and Furious” scandal.

None of that is black helicopters, conspiracy theory or flouride in the water. Those are documented, irrefutable facts and a matter of public record.

Acting upon the findings of Burke’s investigation and lawsuit, Janet Napolitano, as Obama’s head of the Department of Homeland Security, removed the ability of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office to find out from the FBI if a person they were holding for another crime was, in fact, an illegal alien. Futhermore, she removed the ability of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office to detain an illegal alien, already in custody for another crime, on the basis that they entered the U. S. illegally. You support those actions by Napolitano based upon Burke’s work.

None of the above are black helicopters, conspiracy theories or flouride in the water. All of the above is documented, irrefutable fact and a matter of public record.

So you support the actions of the Obama DOJ, the actions of Obama’s head of the Department of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, and the active hampering of the ability of Joe Arpaio and of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s office to identify and detain illegal aliens, even if they are already being held because they are charged with crimes unrelated to immigration.

That makes you a progressive Democrat, radical liberal leftist who stands squarely behind B. Hussein Obama and the actions of his administration.

You stand completely revealed as “True Obama Liberal” who is no Conservative at all. The charade was actually over a long time ago but it is still fun to bust you in your continued failed attempts to pose as a Conservative.

Now run along back to Daily Kos where your progressive Democrat views will be appreciated by your fellow radical liberal leftists.

Have a nice day, Miss TC! 🙂

The hot mess of logic fail is now joined by a hot mess of reading fail.

Like so many efforts to discuss things with you, your propensity to lie has overtaken your ability to think.

Fortunately, I don’t write to persuade you, but those reading about you.

You are out of your depth and it shows – even if you don’t see that for yourself.

Thanks for proving my points for me.

              • Conservative American says

Oh, you had a reading fail? No problem, TC. Here, I’ll post it again so that you can read it better this time:

Fair enough – I routinely fail to understand what the heck you are writing about. But this time the reading fail was yours.

Your conspiracy theories are all black-helicopter and no lift. You have proven no connection between the three year investigation into Arpaio and the very recent F&F scandal.

Nothing about the Arpaio findings has affected or will affect the F&F investigation. Your attacks on the investigators is just a signal of desperation.

I do not stand behind Obama immigration, but if I did I would do so proudly. Conservatives aren’t afraid of supporting efforts that support America. When Obama gets it right, not only should all Americans say so, all patriots should say so loudly. Reward good behavior and more might follow. Your way – were partisanship, not principle, guides your life just leaves you intellectually rudderless, forever responding to the acts of others, never setting your own agenda.

Here is what I wrote: I understand why Obama came after SB1070. Morons like you acted went about demonizing hispanics, particularly Mexicans, and that caused the left to react in such a way that Obama was forced to respond.

If conservatives in Arizona had calmly, rationally passed a fact-based law reasonably designed to address the genuine concerns associated with illegal immigration we could have avoided much of this nonsense.

Further, the Arpaio investigation for illegal racial profiling is easily distinguishable from the F&F fiasco. Arpaio was investigated, by yet another administration, by regular, line-level CRD attorneys. This was a routine investigation unaffected by the policy of the DOJ bosses. In contrast, F&F was a policy vetted and directed by the highest level of political appointee.

Only a feeble mind would declare that because Burke screwed up F&F that all DOJ cases must be thrown out. Non too surprising, then, that you advocate precisely that.

At the end of the day you can not defend Arpaio for his illegal racial profiling, so you resort to attacking the political bosses, hoping your slime will ooze down to the career professionals who determined Apraio had broken the law.

I ask you yet again: what part of illegal don’t you understand?

Conservatives value personal accountability and the rule of law – something Arpaio and his supports value only when its convenient.

ROFL! More liberal tripe devoid of fact. Just TC leftist propaganda verbiage, LOL!

TC wrote: “I understand why Obama came after SB1070. Morons like you acted went about demonizing hispanics, particularly Mexicans, and that caused the left to react in such a way that Obama was forced to respond.”

Well, that’s exactly what I said, TC! I wrote this:

“And what is TC’s position in all of this? Why it’s the progressive Democrat, radical left wing liberal position of Dennis Burke, Janet Napolitano and B. Hussein Obama! TC’s position is that Burke was right, Napolitano was right and Obama is right. TC stands squarely behind Obama and his administration!”

“That makes you a “True Liberal” and not a “True Conservative”. Ain’t that something!”

Thanks for proving my point, Pinko! 🙂

              • You’re an idiot – ConMan, you just don’t realize it. Have you ever been tested for dyslexia?

ROFL! That doesn’t speak very well for you, TC, as you just got your clock cleaned by an idiot. What does that make you? LOL!

Have a nice day, Einstein! 🙂

“Special Agent Dodson demonstrated both tremendous courage and fidelity to the mission of ATF when he came forward to discuss the misguided ‘Fast and Furious’ investigation,” Dodson’s attorney Robert Driscoll said in a statement. “It is unfortunate that his superiors at ATF and DOJ did not listen to his attempts to address the matter internally, and instead chose to attack him once he, out of necessity, stepped forward. Today’s public acknowledgement by former US Attorney Burke that he participated in such misguided efforts to smear Agent Dodson is welcome, but unfortunately Burke did not act alone in attempting to ruin Special Agent Dodson’s career.”

Dennis Burke also gave the DOJ inaccurate information regarding “Fast and Furious” which the DOJ then presented to members of Congress:

“Erroneous Gun Letter Based on U.S. Attorney, Documents Show
      QBy Jonathan D. Salant – Dec 2, 2011 3:56 PM MT”

“The U.S. Justice Department sent an inaccurate letter about a gun operation to a Republican Senator after relying on the assertions of the former U.S. attorney for Arizona, according to documents released today.”

“Burke, in early February, insisted in an e-mail to top Justice officials that any allegations that the bureau allowed weapons bought in Arizona to reach Mexico were “categorically false.” He requested that such a statement be part of the written response to Grassley and it remained in the letter through numerous drafts, documents show.”

“In fact, the agency lost track of guns in the program. Two of about 2,000 guns that the ATF allowed to be carried away were found at the scene of the December 2010 murder of U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry in Arizona, according to a congressional report released in June.”

So what’s the big deal about resigned and discredited former U. S. Attorney for Arizona, Dennis Burke?

Dennis Burke also represented the Obama DOJ in the SB1070 lawsuit:

Burke represented the Obama DOJ in it’s lawsuit against Sheriff Arpaio which was brought on the allegation of Arpaio’s failure to cooperate with the DOJ:

Those are just a few of the hard facts about the Obama DOJ and Obama appointed former U. S. Attorney for Arizona, Dennis Burke.

It is also interesting to note this:

“It’s no coincidence that Dennis Burke, a longtime anti-gun policy person, was made U.S. Attorney in mid-2009 … the same month that Fast and Furious begins,” said Mike Vanderboegh, a gun-rights blogger.”

  4. The same Justice Department that was actively arming terrorists against the Mexican Government… Yeah, they’ve got a lot of credibility.

  5. Perhaps the charges against Obama regarding his eligibility have merit. Over and over, the timing of actions against anyone questioning whether our King really belongs on his throne suggests more than coincidence. In my humble opinion, the only throne that man should sit on is the one with a hole in a little house with a half moon door. I volunteer to put Crazy Glue on the seat just before his arrival.

Turning to Eric Holder – his credibility falls lower every day. Now he faces possible contempt of Congress charges. It could not happen to be better candidate. I am wondering if any of our Representatives will ever grow what they need to confront the DC menace, or whether we should just take them shopping over at the local bowling alley where they are having a sale on balls.
