Pullen Earns Another Term

Arizona Republican State Committeemen re-elected Randy Pullen to another term to lead the party in Arizona today. In a hard fought battle between Pullen and challenger, Lisa James, Pullen collected 521 votes to James’ 474 votes thus widening the gap in today’s rematch. In January 2007, Pullen narrowly beat James by four votes.

Pullen will now muster the GOP faithful in order to further strengthen numbers in the legislature, elect statewide posts and retake critical congressional seats in 2010.

Congratulations to Randy Pullen on a race well run!

  1. Where is the letter of congratulations from our congressional delegation members to our newly elected State Chairman?

John, when you say “primaries were avoided by the intervention of the State Party” what does that mean? That Pullen, not the party, decides who runs and who doesn’t? I swear I remember thinking that it’s voters who choose among candidates, not the party apparatus.

    catsclaw,

    Good to know!

  4. Congratulations Chairman Pullen!

#27(Pullen Played Dirty) I wonder if you are the State Committeeman that I overheard in the parking lot after the meeting saying “At least I don’t have to volunteer at the State Party for the next two years.” That attitude is what gets Democrats elected to office. Your own candidate called for unity after losing the election. Get over your wounded pride and work with us to get Republicans elected.

  5. Keeper, I hope that’s not the definition of “unity” which we’ve been hearing so much about.

Funny, they’ve been calling conservative platform Republicans divisive in every contest since the district elections. Is it divisive if we are the majority in the county and the state? Who’s divisive?

To bad you idiot racist republicans didn’t here Trents comments off stage that he couldn’t stand Pullen and was rooting for Lisa. I am honestly said to say that I am a republican after saturday. Saturday showed that Goldwater/Regean conservatism is dead only to be replaced by ratical nazi-republicanism

My God, PPD; Racist Republicans? Where is that coming from?

Trent was in Tucson in ’06 for a fundraiser for Randy Graf. Is he a racist Republican?

C’mon now folks, please don’t feed the trolls.

    Real Republicans can spell …

  9. GOP Boomer Gal says

LOL You’re right, Dave. What was I thinking?

  10. ENOUGH!

OK, for one minute let’s say he did play dirty, let’s say Trent did speak poorly of him and wish for Lisa to win. Let’s say the majority of the comments on here are from xenophobic racists. Who is to say these things are not true…but who is to say they are? And what good comes from that? Who is served and what is changed? Same goes for those who would cast out anyone who didn’t support Pullen as liberals, RINOS, open-border crowd, pro-choice baby killers, and all the other pejoratives I’ve seen and heard in this debate.

But from here on out let’s say we realize none of that matters, Pullen is chairman. Let’s say we all have a voice and unless we speak rationally in tones that do not hurt our ears, it is the same as being voiceless. Sooner or later people stop listening to the siren.

Let’s say, once gain…if we are always fighting each other and jockeying for the position of town crier versus court jester, which is what we look like when we fight like children and lose our dignity, we only serve to weaken our ability to promote our platform.

Nobody wanted Lisa to win more than me. But, she didn’t. Let us be “loosed” from this bondage that has us so bent over we can never look forward!
