Press Release: Bouie Endorsed by Shadegg

Hat Tip to Politico Mafioso for posting the latest press release by the Tony Bouie Campaign. Of course, after all the negative comments directed at Tony by some readers of this blog, it’s no wonder he didn’t send the press release to Sonoran Alliance.

TONY BOUIE ENDORSED BY CONGRESSMAN JOHN SHADEGG
Congressman John Shadegg: “Citizens of LD 6 Need Tony Bouie”

(Anthem, AZ) – Congressman John Shadegg (AZ – 03) endorsed Tony Bouie, Republican candidate in Legislative District 6, today.

“Tony Bouie is exactly the type of leader the citizens of Legislative District 6 need,” Shadegg said of Bouie. “As a resident of LD 6, I know that my neighbors are facing many difficult issues right now, and I am confident that Tony has the business experience to do what it takes to protect my wallet and as a husband and father he can be trusted to do what it takes to protect my family as well.”

Tony Bouie, an Anthem resident since 2001, is honored to have the endorsement of such a well respected leader in Arizona. “Congressman Shadegg is a respected leader in our community and throughout our state,” said Bouie. “I am humbled that he has chosen to support me, and I look forward to representing the Congressman in the Legislature.”

Bouie is the Chairman and CEO of Halo Cups, Inc. He holds a MBA from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, a bachelor’s in media arts and masters in Language Reading and Culture from the University of Arizona. He played football and baseball at the University of Arizona before he went on to play in the NFL for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for four seasons. He is married to a former school teacher, Allison, and has two daughters, Natalie, 3 and Eboni, 1.

Congressman John Shadegg is a seven‐term Congressman and resident of Legislative District 6.

  1. Troubled Pachy says

So Shadegg differs with the NRA, Right to Life, etc. to support a brand spanking new Republican with no track record, unless you count flip-flopping on just about every issue of importance to Republican voters? I’m learning to hate politics. It is every bit as sleazy as my parents warned me it was. I can only imagine the calculations that went into this decision, and it makes me sick.

  2. Say it ain’t so. Is Trent Franks the only pure conservative left in the state? How is Shadegg lining up with this pro-affirmative action, pro-amnesty guy?

  3. I won’t even hold my nose and vote for Shadegg in Nov. He obviously belongs to the illegal profits crowd now.

SA looks a lot more like the Arizona Repulsive every day.

  4. Troubled Pachy and Alex,
Unlike you, I know John Shadegg and I know he is a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment and the Right to life.
He is a solid real conservative.
So please do not cast shadows upon him by calling him names like pro-this and pro-that, or anything else that springs out of your warped minds.
I reckon Mr. Shadegg doesn’t like for LD-6 to turn into “Deadbeat Central”.
Consequently he endorsed a clear minded business leader.

  5. He is both of those. That’s what makes the endorsement such a surprise. When a solid conservative endorses someone who is so obviously not a solid conservative, it makes you wonder why? Why endorse the guy who WASN’T endorsed by Right to Life or the NRA? Something is going on here.

  6. Monk,
There are many reasons for the WHY, and we can speculate literally until hell freezes over.
So let me spring on you the first reason that came to my mind in two words: CON MAN.

  7. I was thinking the same thing Horst. That’s why I’m surprised that Shadegg fell for that con man. The NRA didn’t buy it, Arizona Right to Life didn’t buy it (or EITHER of the surveys he turned in), even the African American Republican group didn’t buy it. They all endorsed Seel and Crump and could spot the real conservatives right away.

  8. The answer here is simple. Those who know Seel know that he is a joke. I mean, does Seel have the support of any of the legislative delegation in D6? Seel is sucking up to Crump and even Crump won’t touch him.

  9. Bob in DV says

    Monk & Horst,

I have a theory to test with you both.

I don’t think it’s any secret that one of AZ Right to Life’s former Directors is behind Seel’s campaign. That should answer the “Why the AZRTL is not supporting Bouie” question.

And to answer all of the conspirators who accuse Bouie of being the pet of the “open borders” group, it might not be so sinister after all. Try this one on:

No one should expect the “Pacheco crowd” to support anyone but Tony Bouie.

Andrew’s father, Manuel, was President of the University of Arizona when Bouie excelled there as an All-American, multi-degreed student athlete. Manuel Pacheco is a bona-fide eye witness of Bouie’s intelligence, determination and character.

It’s all in who you know, or is it?

  10. Kerrie R. says

    Hey Monk,
Sorry to disappoint, but Bouie just released his endorsement from the AAARC. The fax just came through.

  11. I just posted the endorsement from the AAARC: AAARC Endorses Tony Bouie
Shane, please send your fax # to Tony Bouie and he will make sure you get his releases; he didn’t have your Fax number.

  12. Yeah, he finally got them to reverse themselves and endorse him. What does it say when the African-American “Republican” has to beg and lobby hard for that endorsement? So now they’ve endorsed 3 for 2 seats? Wow, that means a lot.

Let me know what you hear about the NRA and Right to Life, eh? They seem pretty firm for Seel and Crump at this time, wouldn’t you agree?

  13. Gee Tony, I notice your site doesn’t make any mention of the other two candidates that had already been endorsed for that race? Merely an oversight? Tell Bouie to tuck in his shirt and put on a tie or something. If he’s gonna pretend to be a Republican he might as well learn to dress like one.

  14. It’s not often I find a really good football article online, most are the same ole’ thing just rehashed.
Thanks for posting something I could really sit down and read.

    Dave
