  1. I can’t be there, but I hope to God that Trent can move the debate in such a way as to get government out of the health care business.

I was just talking to a co-worker and he told me about the days when doctors use to make house calls and mothers would pay for health care in cash. Is anyone really telling me that in THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA we can not return to those days?

Is it me or does anyone else feel like we are living in Mike Judge’s movie Idiocrisy?

  2. GOP Boomer Gal says

    James,

I’m an RN and I get so tired of bureaucrats dictating all the ridiculous charting that takes time away from our patients.

This is all due to government intervention because of Medicare and Medicaid compliance legislation.

  3. James,

Sorry you couldn’t make it, it was a very good event, and was pretty eye-opening.

As far as your wish for moving back to cash-based Health Care, you need to make sure you attend our next forum where we should have Dr. Steven Knope as one of our featured panelists. I just started reading his book and I bet you would be a big fan.

We’ll try to get some information out about what took place. I also noticed a reporter from the Citizen at the event, so they may have something as well.

  4. Tip of the cap to Trent for organizing this forum. Trent it demonstrating the old adage, if you want to get the job, start doing the job. He’s already acting like a state representative by organizing what I’ve heard was a VERY informative community forum. Not only is Trent enlightened by what he heard, so are his potential constituents…AND so are the health care leaders who came to present! They got a lesson in why their political activism could help their own cause!

    Great job Trent!
