Maricopa County GOP Chairman Rob Haney Endorses Robert Graham for Arizona GOP Chairman

“Robert is committed to standing up for conservative values and understands the role that grassroots precinct committeemen have in shaping our state, party, and nation.”

PHOENIX – Today, Maricopa County Chairman Rob Haney, longtime conservative activist and grassroots leader, endorsed Robert Graham for Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party. Haney has served as Chairman of Maricopa County since 2008.

In endorsing Robert Graham, Haney said, “I am endorsing Robert Graham for state party chairman because he is what Arizona’s Republican Party needs. Marne and I also know Robert personally, we trust him. Robert is committed to standing up for conservative values and understands the role that grassroots precinct committeemen have in shaping our state, party, and nation. His success in business, and his successful track record of working with conservatives makes him an ideal choice for state party chairman. Please join me in supporting Robert Graham to be our next state party chairman.”

I response to the endorsement, Graham said “Rob and Marne have put in countless hours of tireless work for the GOP. They fight valiantly for our party’s values of defending life, the rule of law, and the Constitution that we hold dear. I am grateful that they have offered me their support, and I look forward to working with them as we continue the fight for Conservative values.”

  1. I am going to miss Rob and Marne, they are both the two people I go to for advice many candidates.

Big endorsement for Graham for sure considering Haney recruited Morrisey to run for state party chair. Graham can be the party builder our state needs. Strong conservative values, active leader in the party and with local elections and the funding the ARL provided across the country was increadible.

Personally, I’m just happy to see something other than a Cafe Con Leche post 🙂

  4. You combine this Haney endorsement of Graham with the fact that the Ron Paul crowd is mad at Morrissey due to the state convention and Morrissey is toast. He has nobody left to support him. The so-called “establishment” Republicans never liked Morrissey to begin with. And after the convention debacle, the Ron Paulers have been recruiting PC’s in an effort to get as many of them elected as state committeemen as possible with the aim of tossing Morrissey. The Rob Haney faction of the party was what was mainly propping up Morrissey and now that is gone too.

  5. Uh-oh. Watch out for crooked ballots to show up for Graham at the next State Convention. We grassroots Republican voters are not capable of choosing our own candidates from a ballot. We need our “leadership” to show us who to pick on the actual ballot. All you other conservative activists from around the state can go pound sand.

There is a difference between respecting leadership and agreeing to be led around by the nose.

Haven’t heard Graham’s take on the crooked National Delegate’s election yet. Looks like he condones those tactics.

I agree with Asterisk. Is Graham going to act like Haney because he has a Haney endorsement? If so, I will not be voting for Graham. Haney has been an example of “good ol’ boy” corruption at the county level. He has used his position to interfere with district elections. Regarding Morrisey, the folks that supported his election at the state meeting are now (as they do often) “eating their own.” Beware of who supports you…it now means you owe him something and things can get ugly.
