JD Hayworth Offers Condolences to Family of Slain Rancher

For Immediate Release: Sunday, March 28, 2010

Phoenix, AZ (March 28) – JD Hayworth offers his prayers and condolences to the wife, family and friends of Cochise County rancher Rob Krentz, who was found shot to death after calling into his brother that he was giving aid to an apparent illegal alien he found at one of his cattle watering holes.

Krentz was a third generation rancher on the border of Southeastern Arizona. Conservative blogs the Sonoran Alliance and DiggersRealm.com report that in the past the Krentz family had received threats from illegal aliens. In 2002, the family was physically threatened when one of them stumbled upon a group of 39 illegals.

Hayworth said, “We need the federal government to act now and step up its efforts to secure our borders. Border security is national security and it is time that we enforce the law. For thousands of Arizonans, border security is also quite literally a matter of personal security.”

Mr. Hayworth also supports Arizona SB1070 which empowers local law enforcement officers to identify, detain, and help deport those within the borders of Arizona illegally.

Hayworth is challenging U.S. Senator John McCain in the Arizona Republican primary August 24 2010. One of the reasons Hayworth is challenging John McCain, is because of McCain’s past sponsorship of legislation that would grant amnesty to illegal aliens.

Hayworth sponsored the anti-amnesty “Enforcement First Act” during his tenure in the U.S. House of Representatives.

    Annie,

Since apparently, Sonoran Alliance must be the crucible in which I judged for my faith (wanumba, you, anyone else?)
    …………..

I said that’s between you and God, you have nothing to be concerned about from me.
Why are you always twisting things around and claiming something that wasn’t said?

    Klute,
I don’t write the Catholic Church Doctrine, I just very faithfully follow it. Suffering is very hard and being faithful to the Church and it’s teachings is no easy task, even when you think you have a reason that is bigger than God not to follow it.

    Klute,

Don’t feel sorry for me. I’m happily married, successful, have a great relationship with God, and am blessed the time and wherewithall to work on fixing this nation. It’s me that feels sorry for you who, with so little life experience to draw on, thinks they have the answers for the world. If you are so luck to grow older and wiser you may look back and shake your head at your naiveté.

  4. Sorry to interrupt the OT discussion, but this must be said. Everyone who pounced on Hayworth as an “exploiter” – eat your words . . .

At least Hayworth’s position has been consistent. McCain is the true “exploiter” – he’s a windvane – whatever position benefits him is his current position.

Be sure to vote in the poll linked with that post – Hayworth is crushing McCain with nearly 2000 votes in.

  5. McCain’s position on border security has been clear and consistent. He’s never advocated for a less secure border, anyone who claims otherwise is false. Our border isn’t secure because the federal government has failed to respond to the calls from both our senators. To pretend McCain is somehow, less concerned about our borders, is absolutely ridiculous.

  6. Wake up, ClarkT! McCain’s the one who called it a “goddamn” fence.

McCain was also happy to let Border Patrol agents Nacho Ramos and Jose Compean rot in prison. That’s a fact.

  7. Here’s something else McCain will ignore:

  8. Gads. Checked that link.

I wonder how nmuch that cost? $200 for the camera, $100 to spend a day out (food, drinks) installing it and voila! Mug-shot-worthy photos of about 700 illegals hiking into the USA with their coyote guide. Unbelievable.

Obviously easy as pie. No excuses for Napolitano and the government, Federal and State.

    John (#55)

I read your link and do not see where McCain is exploiting the murder of this rancher. It is very clear in Hayworths PR.

McAmnesty has to run from this issue as fast as he can before someone asks him which of “God’s children” killed Rob Krentz.
