Iran Matters- Just ask Israel

I wrote about Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and you responded-over 30 comments.  Needless to say, we all see that Iran matters. Some agreed and saw reasons for my deep concern at having a novice like Barack Obama take on the US Presidency.   Yet, some of the worthy, and well spoken liberal friends seem to down play the problem of direct diplomacy with Iran.  I ask that you all take a moment and click the yuotube link to a video of Benjamin Netanyahu, former Israeli Prime Minister and current Likud party Chairman, speaking about Iran.

I think if the need arose, Israel alone has far and away enough power to take them out…without us. Although, we have largely funded the country and its military as well.

The larger issue is keeping peace in general so that Iran doesn’t provoke Israel into such a move, thus destabilizing the region further.

Hence, the need for continued dialogue, diplomacy.

  2. leave it to the self-proclaimed “erstwhile republican” to say:

-(to Israel) “fat chance, buddy! you’re on your own!”

-(to Iran) “please come to my pool party Mr. Members Only cool guy. I promise not bring any homosexuals [except the ones you bring]”

-(to the Saudis) “I hate you and your terror oil! Please send us some campaign cash! We’ll say whatever you want just give us money! You can just hike up gas prices and get the money that way.”
