Hope, Change, Control: Barack’s Brave New World

-Gayle Plato-Besley

This week, Senator Barack Obama revisited his tough stand on Global Warming, and his ideas to create lots of subsidized Green jobs.   Obama is a known advocate for saving the planet-

“All across the world, in every kind of environment and region known to man, increasingly dangerous weather patterns and devastating storms are abruptly putting an end to the long-running debate over whether or not climate change is real. Not only is it real, it’s here, and its effects are giving rise to a frighteningly new global phenomenon: the man-made natural disaster.”
-Barack Obama

Much like his political presidential mentor, President Jimmy Carter:
“We can drift along as though there were still a cold war, wasting hundreds of billions of dollars on weapons that will never be used, ignoring the problems of people in this country and around the world, being one of the worst environmental violators on earth…”
-Jimmy Carter

“The issue of climate change is one that we ignore at our own peril. There may still be disputes about exactly how much we’re contributing to the warming of the earth’s atmosphere and how much is naturally occurring, but what we can be scientifically certain of is that our continued use of fossil fuels is pushing us to a point of no return. And unless we free ourselves from a dependence on these fossil fuels and chart a new course on energy in this country, we are condemning future generations to global catastrophe.”

There it is- the quotes from our political giants and great minds leading us to safety and protection from the Armegeddon awaiting us all; each has his finger on the pulse of the nation full of discontent and polluted thinking.  I say, we must forget all of our old ways of strong foreign policy- we need a national czar or cabinet secretary of Global Conscience.   We are looking at the threat of war, or of terrorism with this hawk mentality.  After all, a polluting, gun and God loving country such as this can only be to blame for all of the fighting. Terrorists hate us, yes, but they have good reason.  We are so self-centered and downright mean.  Just ask Michelle Obama.

Terrorism is a threat though and I have a great idea as to a campaign talking point or platform plank for the Obama-nation Party.  As many operatives were out, tour-de-force, to take down Governor Sarah Palin for having so many kids and for allowing her disabled son to be born,  and brazenly held or cared for by her—while she’s working—they all missed the real point.

We all know that Down Syndrome has been nearly erradicated thanks to genetic testing and God’s gift of abortion (most Down Syndrome babies are aborted: “Recent US studies have indicated that when Down syndrome is diagnosed prenatally, 84% to 91% of those babies will be killed by abortion. This trend is not isolated to the United States. In England, a 2004 study showed that 94% of babies who were diagnosed prenatally with Down syndrome were subsequently aborted.” [ http://www.physiciansforlife.org/content/view/1301/26/]).  These people, like Sarah Palin,  choosing to have these ‘special’ kids are not thinking of the environment.

All Down Sydrome children are just temptations for terrorists.  Did not the terrorists in the Middle East use these types of kids for bomb backboards?

Disabled child in suicide attack-
Terrorists used a disabled child as a suicide bomber on election day, Iraqi interior minister Falah al-Naqib said today.
In all, 44 people were killed in a total of 38 bomb attacks on polling stations. Police at the scene of one the Baghdad blasts said the bomber appeared to have Down’s syndrome.

Down Syndrome adults are easily mislead and kindly compliant when the explosives are attached. Let’s face it, if terrorists get ahold of a strap-on nuke, we could see a major city wiped out.  Thus, with a nuclear explosion, say- in Chicago or New York City, the greenhouse effect of the bomb’s energy, the pollution from the blast will significantly increase the effects of Global Warming.  PEOPLE, we cannot risk environmental peril!

According to Allen F. Phillips, M.D., “The weather conditions prevailing, and the time of day the bomb exploded, would both influence the degrees of damage. For example, the radii for skin burns and blindness would depend on the weather. Mist or fog reduces the range of the heat and light rays; on the other hand, darkness dilates the pupils of the eyes increasing the probability of severe eye damage from the flash. ” (http://www.3ammagazine.com/magazine/issue_4/articles/nuclear_bomb_effects.html)

Now you see,  if it’s too hot outside or even cloudy, we cannot be sure of how bad the bomb might be.  Also, the long-distance range of the bomb- beyond that six square miles region  at ground zero where people become  x-ray shots on the brick walls- all of the people wandering around ill, and the dead bodies piling up will definitely pollute the area.  With the mass distruction,  the bodies will possibly contaminate the waters and eco-system!  Local fish and wildlife preserves will be tainted for years to come–and all of the mess and squallor!  Not to mention the bad weather.

So as a way to be pro-active and assure less temptation for potential global peril, and frankly as a way to purify the world, clensing us of oddities or anyone that’s too different, consider keeping all special needs children, Down Sydrome and the rest of ’em, off of the planet.  Look at this, even a smart professor agrees and he’s got a doctorate:

CHAPEL HILL – A professor’s comments on Down syndrome and abortion angered some students on the UNC-Chapel Hill campus this week. Professor Albert Harris told students in his embryology class Monday that he thinks fetuses with Down syndrome should be aborted.

In his lecture notes, he wrote:

‘In my opinion, the moral thing for older mothers to do is to have amniocentesis, as soon during pregnancy as is safe for the fetus, test whether placental cells have a third chromosome #21, and abort the fetus if it does. The brain is the last organ to become functional.’ “(http://www.newsobserver.com/news/health_science/story/947991.html)

As I see it, we need more eggheads- graduates from Ivy League Schools- telling us how to live and procreate, because we are obviously not capable of running things, with all of our misplaced ‘Audacity of Hope’ for our children, odd as they might just be.
