Freedom Breaks out in D.C.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit must have actually read the U.S. Constitution before writing their decision to strike down the ban on handguns in Washington, D.C.

After dusting off the source document they re-discovered the words, “the right of the people.”

Rumors are circulating on the exact wording of how the McCain and Giuliani campaigns plan to address this “loophole” if either is elected.

  1. The citizens living in DC should have risen up a long time ago against that tyranny.

  2. Senator:
The “tyranny” of which you speak neglects to take into account Washington DC’s unenviable title as the “Murder Capitol if the United States.” The law abiding citizens of DC might be more fearful of the armed thugs marauding through their midst than their Second Amendment rights. I say this as a lifetime member of the NRA, who is also a realist. Have you ever lived in that city? I have.
The DC population has spiraled downward since 1960 and the rate of violent crime has skyrocketed.

  3. Civilian gun bans don’t seem to have helped much to reduce DC shootings.

Some will say, ‘when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.’
