Congressman Flake Reiterates Call for Earmark Moratorium:
Republicans Still Have Chance to Convince Voters Why We Deserve to Be in the Majority

Washington, D.C. – Republican Congressman Jeff Flake, who represents Arizona’s Sixth District, today reiterated his call for a Republican moratorium on earmarks.

“Republicans and Democrats seem content to play out the Alphonse and Gaston routine on earmark reform – ‘You first.’ ‘No, you first,'” said Flake.

“I’m confident that Congress will eventually enact meaningful earmark reform, but Republicans have lost, at least for now, an opportunity to show voters why we deserve to be in the majority.”

“Rather than qualifying our actions on earmark reform on Democratic action, we should enact our own moratorium on earmarks.  If we acknowledge that the system is broken, why do we have to wait for the Democrats to act?”

  1. I would suggest that the little flake should be personally earmarked like Game and Fish mark wildlife. The earmark would wymbolize his open border stance against our sovereignty and rule of law.

His earmark mantra cost more in administrative costs than all of the savings attained. Once again the taxpayers are Gored by a Flake.

Flake is impressive…it still blows my mind that Pearce was considering challenging him…Pearce is the biggest boob in the State of Arizona…and should be seen as traitor to his party for even considering it.

  3. Kral,

That’s what Republicans are not looking for – candidate advice from Democrats.

Of course, if your name is McCain or Flake you always seem to find your horrible ideas from D’s – Gutierrez, Feingold, Kennedy, etc.

  4. Why in the world would you think we give a cow’s fluctuance about what Flaky has to say about anything. What would be the cost of the Amnesty Plan?…..$4Trillion!!! You know where Flaky can stick his earmark opposition. Give me Flaky on a pike or down a cesspool. Down with the Hessians! Send em back to Bavaria with Kraus.
