Committee Formed to Oppose Pearce Recall;

protectanamericanpatriot.com Website Launched

The “Citizens Who Oppose the Pearce Recall RC-04-2011” committee has been formed to actively fight the possible recall of Arizona Senate President Russell Pearce (R-District 18).  Organizational papers were filed Friday at the Arizona Secretary of State’s Office.

The anti-recall Committee also launched a website today (www.protectanamericanpatriot.com) to help battle the recall effort and to collect donations.

Matt Tolman, Chairman of the “Citizens Who Oppose the Pearce Recall RC-04-2011” Committee said: “We will not sit back and let out-of-state and out-of-district special interests attempt to use recall to harass and intimidate Arizona’s constitutionally elected officials. We will oppose this recall so that President Pearce and other officials can do the job for which they were elected.”

Senator Russell Pearce first served in the legislature in 2000.  He has enjoyed strong, continual support from his constituents in District 18 having been elected in all 16 of his primary and general elections. He was elected President of the Arizona State Senate in 2011. The recall is the latest in a series of attacks for his strong stands on border security and his work on balancing the state’s budget in the most difficult economic situation Arizona has faced since the Great Depression.

When told of the recall opposition effort, Pearce said: “I am so grateful that some of my friends have stepped forward to oppose this recall and defend the truth.  The personal, hurtful attacks by people who don’t even live in Arizona must stop. Working together we can bring Arizonans together and move our State forward.”

Tolman continued: “Our committee will raise all the funds needed to fight this misguided recall effort.  Outside special interests do not run Arizona government.  This is about defending the sanctity of our constitutional electoral system.  The people of District 18 support Russell Pearce and his strong defense of liberty and the constitution.”

Within the next few days, this Committee will file a complaint against the recall committee with the Secretary of State’s Office for non-disclosure of financial expenditures.

Donations to the “Citizens Who Oppose the Pearce Recall RC-04-2011 Committee will be accepted from private individuals and corporations. Donations can be made through the website www.protectanamericanpatriot.com

  1. Glad to hear it. The head of the Pearce recall committee is pure slimeball, an attorney named Chad Snow who spends all day leaving profane and lewd comments on the Phoenix New Times attacking Pearce and any other politician who dares to take a conservative position on illegal immigration. Bet he charges his clients for surfing the web leaving comments while he’s talking to them on the phone. Snow is LDS, what an embarrassment to the Mormon Church. Wonder what the State Bar would think about his behavior? They should read through the hundreds of disgusting comments he’s left on the New Times website; he’s slandered so many officials he will probably get his bar license revoked.

    • Chad Snow says

Anne, I actually post under my real name on New Times because I take pride in trying to keep a civil tone. Unlike your hero Pearce who can’t respond like a man to the issues we raised yesterday. He is reduced to childish name calling like “un-American lawbreakers”, “open border Anarchists”, and “Socialist Thugs and mafia members”. At the end of the day, the only name we’ll be calling him back is “Recalled Senator Russell Pearce.”

P.S. It’s hard to take someone seriously who hurls insults and threats while hiding behind a screen name.

      • In response to Mr. Snow,
Mr. Snow cannot be a true conservative as he isn’t looking at the issues but raging an irrational war using the Alinskyite tactics of name calling. I was a liberal until a few years ago; I voted Democrat for 30 years. I have been a atheist for 28 of those years and heard nothing but vitriol and unfounded slander from fellow liberals toward the conservatives. I even participated in those verbal attacks. In the last few years I have re-educated myself and have reversed the years of brainwashing I received from the left. I was challenged to look at the other side, read history (not the liberal version of it) and I was re-born you might say. I realized I had been lied to by the liberal educators, politicians, press and other media for decades. Three years ago, I changed my voter registration to Republican.
Now I say to men like Mr. Snow that he may as well re-register as a Democrat because I strongly object to him calling himself a Republican; shame on you. I’d also like to add that my husband is of color as his father was a Tuskegee Airman. He discovered the lies, just as I had but a bit earlier than I.
A person who knows the facts and stands by his affiliation of the Republican Party could not in good conscience write what this man has written. He would also understand that the bills put forth by Mr. Pearce have NOTHING to do with “racism”. I ask that he pick up a book titled, “American History In Black & White”. I seriously doubt Mr. Snow will do such a thing as he much prefers to use emotion driven language against Mr Pearce rather than logic. I was much like this man prior to my metamorphosis and had been challenged to research facts nearly 8 years ago but ignored the request. Instead I continued to listen to the incorrect information the left insists is fact; I was very wrong.
My husband and I completely support Mr. Pearce and the bills he helped to draft. We’re proud to be Arizonans as I am a native. Therefor Mr. Snow, you have a fight on your hands because my husband and I will be adding our names to the list of “Citizens Who Oppose the Pearce Recall”.

  2. “The people of District 18 support Russell Pearce and his strong defense of liberty and the constitution.”

Really? 18,000 people seem to say otherwise.

“The personal, hurtful attacks by people who don’t even live in Arizona must stop.”

Huh. I didn’t know people from out-of-state’s signatures counted. I guess we’ll see when the SOS certifies the recall.

“This is about defending the sanctity of our constitutional electoral system.”

Recalls are part of the constitutional electoral system.

    • To Klute,
Have you not noticed the “Hollywierd” crowd (who DON’T live here), the current bunch in the White House (who DON’T live here) and many others in the news media (who DON’T live here)? This recall effort is DRIVEN by people who DON’T live here!! What is clear is, you don’t read carefully. If you had, you would have read the statement you attacked is actually factual. Since Mr. Pearce was just re-elected in 2010, the voters made their choice. If a group wishes to begin a recall effort, the office holder should be accused of a criminal act or severe unethical behavior. NOTHING of the kind occured here. Klute, you and your buddies don’t have a leg to stand on yet, you continue; this is because the recall effort is driven by groups such as La Raza (another group who is spreading non factual so-called history and hatred). As to the 18,000 you claim are signators….their names have yet to be verified as legitimate registered voters in the state of Arizona. No doubt, it will be just like the voter registration drive that put ACORN employees in jail.

      • “If a group wishes to begin a recall effort, the office holder should be accused of a criminal act or severe unethical behavior.”

Really? Point to the statute that says that.

“Have you not noticed the “Hollywierd” crowd (who DON’T live here), the current bunch in the White House (who DON’T live here) and many others in the news media (who DON’T live here)?”

Have I not noticed what? Is there a subject to go along with that declarative statement? What I have noticed is 18,000 signatures handed in to the SOS office to initiate a recall election. And I’ll wager most of those come not from the “Hollyweird” (boy, that “How to Talk Teabagger for Dummies” is paying off, isn’t it?), the White House, or the media, but rather than the grassroots of District 18.

“What is clear is, you don’t read carefully.”

I read carefully enough to know you don’t know how to use a comma properly.

“Since Mr. Pearce was just re-elected in 2010, the voters made their choice.”

The voters are fickle, aren’t they? Sadly for JT Ready’s bestest pal (well, at least until in became politically inexpedient).

“this is because the recall effort is driven by groups such as La Raza”

I’m sure that particular ooga-booga works on the fearful and stupid. I am neither.

May I just thank you on behalf of my progressive brothers and sisters for your leaving the movement? People like you are the ones who set us back for years.

  3. Arizona Patriot says

It’s always the liberals with too much time on their hands. Otherwise we would see recall efforts against John McComish, Nancy Barto, Adam Driggs, John Nelson, Michelle Reagan, Steve Pierce and Rich Crandall.

Thank you open-border zealots for this bonus election of Sen. Pearce! Your attack is a badge of honor and will provide Pearce a new “mandate” to enforce Arizona’s sovereignty ever more diligently.

    • Oberserve says

Note the contributors to Pearce’s campaign. Lobbyists (who bought his vote for the Jobs bill) and Public Employee Union members and lobbyisis.

He’s not as conservative as he likes to advertise himself as being.

You, sir, help mask his liberalism.

  4. My dad is a bigger patriot than your dad says

Cue the overuse of the word patriot and constitution.

  5. Oberserve says

I just heard yesterday that a Committee has been formed to Oppose the Citizens who Oppose the Pearce Recall.

It is called Arizona Constitutional Citizens for the Opposition of the Opposition of the Citizens who Oppose the Pearce Recall (ACCOOCOPR)

While I do not support the recall effort of Russell Pearce, I also do not support the Citizens Who Oppose the Pearce Recall and have thrown my support behind the Arizona Consitutional Citizens for the Opposition of the Opposition of the Citizens who Oppose the Pearce Recall.

    I suggest you join me!

  6. Even though 14 Democrats fled the state in Wisconsin expressly to block the will of the People, only the Democrat-organized recalls against Republicans have been allowed to move forward. How convenient.

Old tactic. Best defense is a strong offense. Guess we’ll have to see how it plays with the PUBLIC.

    • “Even though 14 Democrats fled the state in Wisconsin expressly to block the will of the People, only the Democrat-organized recalls against Republicans have been allowed to move forward.”

Well count wanumbula, that’s because the ***non-partisan*** board who reviews the signatures in Wisconsin is investigating the possibility of fraud in collecting the signatures on the part of the Republician-organized recalls. As long as the Teabaggers did everything right on their recalls, they’re should be any problem.

      • Your argument is completely de-legitimized because you name call, use the * which implies you’d rather use foul terminology and you used the word “teabagger”. If you can’t make a logical argument, you resort to name calling, the favored argument of liberals.
You mistrust the reviewers who will be verifying the signatures perhaps because the Democrats have used this tactic since the very birth of our country. History has recorded several instances throughout our political past. The most heinous other than the 2008 elections would be the Southern Democrats during the Reconstruction Period. In case you aren’t aware of that time in history, it was directly after the Civil War.
You see, the Republican Party was form SPECIFICALLY to abolish slavery and President Lincoln was the first Republican President. We had 16 black representatives elected to Congress during that period and they were ALL Republicans. Why? Because the Republicans were their champions and the Democrats fought to not only continue slavery (as they thought it was their God given right) but they stepped up their efforts to INCREASE the number of slave states in the new territories.
The Civil Rights Act of 1957 was drafted by Republicans, specifically, Eisenhower. A committee of Democrats headed by Sen Eastland (the Bill was handed to him by Johnson) stripped the bill of it’s protections of black voters which is why two more bills had to be drafted in 1960 and 1964. Since the liberal Dept of Education would rather spread the tale that it was They who supported Civil Rights, this fact is not known to us. The fact is, it was the overwhelming support of Republicans which got the Bills passed NOT Democrats. Since the voting records are a matter of public record, you could very well research this on your own but both Johnson and Kennedy voted AGAINST the Civil Rights Act of 57. It was Eisenhower who de-segregated the military during his post of Secretary of Defense. While he was General of the Army during WWII he desegregated the forces under his command. It was a Democrat who re-segregated the military, Woodrow Wilson. That same racist president segregated public facilities in DC and got rid of every black person under the employ of the government. That same president premiered the racist film, “Birth of a Nation” in the White House in 1919. That film (silent film) portrayed blacks as criminals and what is NOT advertised, the KKK produced it. The KKK was created by the Democrat Party with the task of eliminating Republicans; since ALL black voters were Republicans both caucasians and blacks were killed and intimidated.
There you are, a brief and FACTUAL history (which you will no doubt claim is inaccurate). However, we have a quote of one of our founding fathers to point to, “Facts are stubborn things”.

        • Rhoda,

You and I are going to get along swimmingly.

“Your argument is completely de-legitimized because you name call, use the *…”

OK, let’s start by working on your reading comprehension. When I used “*”, it was actually “***”, which I used to bracket a word (in this case, “non-partisan”), it used as emphasis, because you cannot italicize here, or at least I don’t know how to do it.

“…and you used the word ‘teabagger’.”

I’ll make you a deal – you get all your newly found conservative buddies to stop using “libtard”, “DemoCRAP”, and whatever other little phrases you use, and I’ll stop using “teabagger”. How’s that work for you?

And it does nothing to delegitmize my argument. It makes you dismiss it, which is entirely different, and is your problem, not mine.

“You mistrust the reviewers who will be verifying the signatures perhaps because the Democrats have used this tactic since the very birth of our country.”

Now, go back read what count wanumbla said, and what I said. I said I trust the reviewers, wanumbula says that it is suspicious that the reviewers haven’t certified the recalls AGAINST the Democratic legislators in Wisconsin.

Here’s a suggestion for you. Let the ragegasm subside before you start typing, that way your head might be a little clearer.

“There you are, a brief and FACTUAL history (which you will no doubt claim is inaccurate). However, we have a quote of one of our founding fathers to point to, ‘Facts are stubborn things’.”

Actually, that’s a very concise history (what’d you do? Piece it together from sugar packets?). And if history ended in 1964, I could completely understand your animus against the Democratic Party – an animus I share. Unfortunately for you, history did not end. You might want to look at history of race in America post-1964.

And just because I’m a **** (that WAS a profanity, you’re not misreading it), why not ask your bestest pal Russell Pearce what his son has tattoo’d on his chest? The answer might surprise you!

    • Nordine Crub says

Not true Whatsyournumber – At least three Democrats in Wisconsin had recalls filed against them. None were successful….Two of the Democrats were successful. Stop tells lies about Wisconsin!

  7. Interested says

Just what is it this group intends to do on behalf of Senator Pearce?

  8. Chad Snow says

“Out of state special interests”? This coming from the man who brought in FAIR from out of state to write SB 1070?

“Out of district special interests”? Last time I checked, the Fiesta Bowl wasn’t in District 18 either, Mr. Pearce – didn’t stop you from pushing a lot of legislation (and accepting a lot of gifts) on their behalf, did it?

Just more untruths from the master of Deception, Russell “Cancelled Checks/I don’t know J.T. Ready” Pearce.

    • I figured someone from the lefty liberal bottom would come up with the INVESTIGATED AND UNFOUNDED charge of “gifts from the NFL” sooner or later. It supports my claim that liberals rarely read any other opinion but their own nor research facts.

  9. Why does the Pearce opposition always go back to race Mr. Snow? Is there no better arguement for them.

    • Oberserve says

I dont give a rip about Mr. Snow and have no idea who he is.

I care about Pearce’s veiled liberalism: support for (and from) public employee unions, selling out AZ taxpayers to the Corporation Commission for the massive “Commerce Authority” giveaways of state contracts and money to their buddies, Pearce’s insistance on SSN-linked drivers licenses, expansion of government and use of national ids.

He is not the constitutionalist he insists he is. Not at all.

Has the man ever had a NON-government job? Not in the last 20 years! Maybe never.

He has NO IDEA what it is like for normal Arizonans.

      • Well then, Mr Observe, if that is your only argument against Mr Pearce, why do you support the recall effort? Why not just advertise the “unconstitutional” faults of Mr. Pearce? Your efforts could raise enough support to prevent his re-election the next time around. My point is, the charges you make are NOT recall worthy. By your “getting on the band wagon” with your particular reasons for opposition, you aren’t rallying any support. I repeat, the excuses behind the recall are not strong enough to support according to election rules etc.
I’d also wish to ask, who you would consider worthy of the job if the recall campaign is proved successful? Do you have someone in mind who would behave with more respect toward the Constitution? If your suggestion is a liberal candidate hiding under the guise of a conservative, you’ll be exposed.

        • Oberserve says

Who said I supported the recall effort? Can you read? Do you? Sheesh. So typical of the blind leading the blind.

        • Oberserve says

Where did you get the idea I support the recall effort?

          I don’t.

          Can you read?

And, yes, Pearce is the liberal hiding under the guise of being a conservative.

  10. The Mole says

Snow spends most of his time blogging on the New Times site where he is known as “the pervert Chad Snow.” I think he specializes in helping illegal immigrants. He is a self serving ultra left lib that even supports the Maricopa County BOS. Illegals keep him fat dumb and happy so don’t expect anything rational from him.

  11. Yellow Snow says

Chad Snow has one of the filthiest, dirty mouths alive. Just google his name and “Phoenix New Times.” He has spent hundreds of hours over the last few years leaving vile comments about conservatives on that website. He holds himself out as LDS and an attorney but he even makes attorneys bad – as if they could look any worse. Does anyone know who his bishop is?

  12. Porter Rockwell says

Having someone as crude as Chad Snow who has left profane and sexual comments all over the internet heading up the Pearce recall effort completely discredits the recall.

    • Chad Snow says

Please point to one profane or crude sexual comment I have left. I post under my real name on New Times because I try to be as civil as possible. It’s easy to hurl rumor and innuendo under a made up screen name, isn’t it?

  13. I want Pearce recalled as he is a slime ball politician when in is arrogance he accepted gifts from the Fiesta Bowl and then was indignant that he got caught. Nothing says honesty like taking gifts from people and not reporting them as required BY LAW. Poster child for term limits and a reason for a law against being allowed to accept any gift. This is the reason and not 1070.

  14. I want Pearce recalled as he is a slime ball politician when in his arrogance he accepted gifts from the Fiesta Bowl and then was indignant that he got caught. Nothing says honesty like taking gifts from people and not reporting them as required BY LAW. Poster child for term limits and a reason for a law against being allowed to accept any gift. This is the reason and not 1070.

  15. Alvin Vasicek says

Russell Pearce is a loser and those of you in the community who speak positively for him should do the rest of us a favor and stifle yourselves.

  16. There are two basis for my belief that illegal aliens don’t belong here. One is the law, the other is the fact that our nation is broke and the illegals are costing us upwards of 113 billion dollars a year. They need to go home so that we can balance our budget. I have donated to Senator Pearce’s fund because I believe he is a real patriot and on the side of the law and the American Citizen! I am appalled at the people who are working towards Pearce’s removal. The vitriol is amazing. The name-calling is amazing. You who can afford to pay to support these people should do so. I cannot and I resent your spending my country into oblivion because you are either being paid in some manner such as providing services to illegal aliens, using them in your business, or you believe it is your religious obligation. You have no right to obligate others for your beliefs.or your greed!

  17. james malenfant says

This man deserves to be recalled. This group is desperate to keep him in office. So much so, they are harassing candidates, and posting libelous and offensive signs. (We are removing them since most are illegally posted.) The man is a criminal and racist. My group is GAAG, and there are over 10,000 members. We are one step ahead, and know all about dirty, lying, GOP tacticts. We are also watching every move this group and Pearce make, and we report it. We will have an honest election, not a GOP ORCHESTRATED ONE! You all should keep your cash, he is going to lose. Lol! Have a great day!
