Blendu’s Bid

Robert BlenduYellow Sheets/Arizona Capitol Times is reporting that Robert Blendu will see the position of the Arizona Republican Party State Chairman early next year. The formers State Senator lost his bid for a move to the State House last Tuesday against newcomer Steve Montenegro and incumbent Jerry Weiers. Only 481 votes separated Montenegro and Blendu. The west valley legislature has served in the legislature for over ten years. Those who know Blendu admit he has an abrasive personality and is difficult to work with. It is likely his reputation finally caught up with him and may have rubbed voters the wrong way. Should Blendu enter the contest for GOP State Party Chair, some of these more personality traits may factor into the race.
