Georgia State Bill Requires Biometric ID

The Georgia State Senate has approved a bill that would require senior citizens in the state to acquire a biometric ID card to access Medicaid for health care, according to a WSBTV article.

The new bill, which passed on a 34-21 margin, stipulates the use of fingerprint biometrics for each of the ID cards.

The new measure was introduced as a way to curb Medicaid fraud in the state.

Medicaid recipient’s would be issued a smart card that would store the individual’s fingerprint data. When the patient arrives for an appointment the smart card and fingerprint would be scanned to verify identity. The card would also include the recipient’s photo.

In Arizona, I know “conservatives” are trying to do that to “stop illegals.” 

Meanwhile the border is left open and “conservative” Jan Brewer is withdrawing the national guard from the border.  Also, “conservatives” in legislature want to require ID checks for all citizens and run them against the US Department of Homeland Security.

I hate to remind you that that’s PRECISELY what the Clintons wanted to impose on US citizens in the early nineties, specifically defeated by the conservatives elected to Congress in 1994.

And now “conservatives” in Arizona want to impose all of this on law abiding Arizona citizens here and now – yet meanwhile do nothing at the border.

DONT TAKE WOODEN NICKELS.

The IDs are for *US*, not for illegals and don’t let these RINO legislators bamboozle you into believing otherwise.  Check their campaign donations to see if they are getting money from, for example and among others,

L1 Systems,  RedFlex, or ATS, or  the Arizona Corporation Commission whom these companies donate through to politicians to mask their donations

House Republicans attempt to revive Real ID

Your driver’s license may no longer be valid for boarding an airplane or entering federal buildings as of May 11, 2011.

That’s the deadline that senior House Republicans are calling on the Obama administration to impose, saying states must be required to comply with so-called Real ID rules creating a standardized digital identity card that critics have likened to a national ID.

The political problem for the GOP committee chairmen is that the 2005 Real ID Act has proven to be anything but popular: legislatures of two dozen states have voted to reject its requirements, and in the Michigan and Pennsylvania legislatures one chamber has done so.

That didn’t stop the House Republicans from saying in a letter this week to Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano that “any further extension of Real ID threatens the security of the United States.” Unless Homeland Security grants an extension, the law’s requirements take effect on May 11.

“If they don’t, people won’t be able to use their driver’s licenses to get on airplanes,” says Molly Ramsdell, who oversees state-federal affairs for the National Conference of State Legislatures. “They can use a military ID. They can use some other federal ID. But they won’t be able to use a driver’s license.” (See CNET’s FAQ.)

The situation represents a setback to Rep. F. James Sensenbrenner (R-Wisc.), who championed Real ID as a way to identify terrorists and criminals. But instead of what supporters hoped would be a seamless shift to a nationalized ID card, the requirements have created a confusing patchwork of state responses–with some legislatures forbidding their motor vehicle administration from participating–and could herald chaos at airports unrivaled by any other recent change to federal law.

Since its enactment, its backers have been aggressively defending Real ID, noting that many of the hijackers on September 11, 2001, were able to fraudulently obtain U.S. driver’s licenses. Because Real ID links state DMV databases, establishes a standard bar code that can be digitally scanned, and mandates that original documents such as birth certificates be verified, backers claim the benefits extend beyond antiterror and ID fraud cases. (Extending it to firearm and prescription drug sales has not been ruled out.)

Complicating the fact is that, during the Bush administration, Homeland Security was an unabashed champion of Real ID. But under the Obama administration, the department has been far less effusive in its support of the law, and Napolitano has been quoted as talking about repealing Real ID in hopes of replacing it with something that “accomplishes some of the same goals.”

A couple of notes from MadArizonan:

1) “national ID” is not a card, it’s a datafile.  The card or chip or bar code or magnetic strip are just ways of expressing the data contained in the datafile.

2) Note that it will be used in the future for gun purchases and tracking.

3) Napolitano doesn’t want to implement the “Real ID” program, but another national id program

4) There are a hundred if not hundreds of national ID programs.  Real ID is just one.

5) Homeland Security owns the national ID database.

6) State license data exchanged with Homeland Security goes in the national ID datbase.

8 ) There’s nothing in the constitution about authority for the federal government to track law-abiding American citizens.

Time for a TEAPARTY.  Kick the rest of the RINOs out!

Your Money is No Good on PPP Toll Roads

This is an interesting one.  On the new public private partnership tollroads popping up throughout the nation as a result of states seeing new sources of revenue, all kinds of new toll roads and pay lanes are popping up.

In this particular case, even though it is illegal to not accept legal tender Federal Reserve Notes which state on their face that the note is legal tender for all debts public and private, people are actually getting ARRESTED on a private road or privately administered lane for wanting to pay tolls with cash!

Talk about an unintended consequence of states’ intentions to enhance their revenue with these schemes! -> Law abiding citizens getting arrested, taking up law enforcement resources, in order to enforce a private corporation’s debt collection activities!

Needless to say, there are constitutional issues here and this is being challenged in Florida where this occurred.

Your Money’s No Good – On The Roads, That Is…

It says on our Fed Funny Money that “this note is legal tender for all debts, public and private.” Except for paying tolls on government roads.   In which case, it’s not.

They won’t take your money. But they will force you to cart around an “easy pass” electronic receiver to pay your toll automatically. A transponder/receiver that identifies your car, notes its passing and sends you the bill (or debits an account). A receiver that also has the capability to track your vehicle as well as monitor its speed. They’re not – yet – using these “easy passes” to do more than collect tolls, but that doesn’t mean they won’t, especially as the financial pressures on state and local governments mount and the search for new revenue sources intensifies.

Ron Paul, Herman Cain win Tea Party poll to run against Obama

The national Tea Party Patriots convention or “Policy Summit” occurred this past weekend at the Phoenix Convention Center.

Here’s a snippet from Reuters:

Rep. Ron Paul and Georgia businessman Herman Cain were conservative Tea Party activists’ top picks to run against Barack Obama for president in 2012, leaving former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin in third place (click here for whole article).

“In a ‘presidential straw poll’ of nearly 1,600 conservative members of the Tea Party Patriots released on Sunday, 581 voted for U.S. Representative Ron Paul, a Texas Republican, to run against Obama next year

“Herman Cain, a Georgia businessman and talk-radio host, came in second with 256 votes.

“Palin, a favorite of the conservative movement who was Senator John McCain’s running mate against Obama in 2008, trailed in a distant third place with 149 votes.

“‘Mr. Cain and Rep. Paul’s positions resonated with Tea Party Patriots this weekend,’ said Mark Meckler, the Tea Party Patriots’ national coordinator, of the poll taken at the group’s policy summit in Phoenix over the weekend and online.”

E-Verify is a Tool to Stop Illegals, Right? FALSE

  Wait, isn’t e-Verify central to stopping illegals?

Well, no, stopping them at the border STOPS illegals.

Then won’t e-Verify stop illegals by not letting them get jobs?

That’s the claim, except for a couple of important points:

1) e-Verify, or in other words, “Automated Employment Eligibility Verification”, was actually the brainchild of the Council on Foreign Relations, otherwise known as the OPEN BORDERS GLOBALIST LOBBY!  (Click here to read for yourself.)

How can that be you ask?  Well, it’s central to their cross-border CANAMEXUS “labor mobility” plan.

They know that once everyone is in the work database (really the US Department of Homeland Security national id database for which e-Verify is just a user front end), that as soon as “open borders” passes, they simply flip the switch from Mexican Citizen eligible = N to Mexican Citizen eligible = Y, and VOILA, the 21 million illegals go from e-Verify clearance NO to YES …. OVERNIGHT!!!!

(Betcha Kris Kobach of FAIR who wrote SB1070 didn’t tell you about that part.  Oh, should we mention that Kris Kobach is a former lawyer for the US Department of Homeland Security who is building the national id database?)

2) The only way e-Verify works in the first place is if they have the records BEFOREHAND of everyone who is “supposed to be here”.  Well, how does the federal government get that information?  Hmmm…..

The STATES give it to them!  The states turn over their drivers license and birth certificate databases to the US Department of Homeland Security so the feds can construct a massive national id database on all US citizens.

Yes, but didn’t Arizona defeat REAL ID?  Sure, but REAL ID is only 1 of 100 or more national id programs.  In Arizona, one of the only parts of SB1070 left standing after the federal judge ruling was the section that GUESS WHAT!!!!! turned over all state citizens’ private license data (for any license), including all UNIQUE IDENTIFIERS over to GUESS WHOM??? the US Department of Homeland Security to put in their national id database!  (Betcha Russell Pearce didn’t tell you about that little detail!)

Anyway, is it any surpise the feds are doing this?  They’ve been at it for over a decade.  Too bad the teapartiers weren’t paying attention as “conservatives” they were supporting sold out their privacy,  sovereignity, and birthright to the feds for some silver pieces (attention in the media).

3) Now we have this… Of course, it was an inevitability.  CITIZENS’ BIOMETRICS NEEDED for E-VERIFY to WORK

To make e-Verify “really work”, we’re going to have to pony up the most private of private data, our personal bio-metrics to the feds to put in their national id database, including our HANDS (finger prints) and our FORHEADS (facial recognition technology).

Are our “conservatives” like Pearce and Adams going to tell us that us law abiding citizens have to give up MORE to the feds to “stop illegals”?   

(By the way have you noticed how those you thought were “conservatives” have stopped calls to secure the ACTUAL BORDER?  Weird right?)

Summary

Real conservatives, in other words, those who are religious and opposing the mark as well as those who have never wavered from wanting smaller government, less government intrusion, lower spending and lower taxes have been sold out by false conservatives who use the illegal immigration issue as cover to push their agenda of larger government, more police power over law abiding citizens and to implement national id.

The teaparty should take note. 

Smaller government is NOT bigger government and bigger government is NOT smaller government.

Further the way you secure the border NOW is PUTTING ARIZONAS NATIONAL GUARD THERE.  Not putting all law abiding citizens into the US Department of Homeland Security’s national id database.

2011 CPAC Roundup

The Conservative Political Action Conference, an annual project of the American Conservative Union, took place in Washington, DC over the past several days.  Conservative luminaries from across the country came to speak.  This post provides you with a brief summary overview of the conference along with links to some of the speeches given and newsarticles covering the conference.

This year some disgruntled former CPAC board members and volunteers tried to paint the CPAC conference as having been infiltrated by…er… “those of an alternative lifestyle” (let’s say it that way.)  However, those folks weren’t even to be seen.  CPAC was a madhouse this year, much of the time shoulder to shoulder, standing room only by conservatives from all over the country, eastern establishment RINOs as well as true conservatives (westerners and old timers you and I would recognize as comrades).  So, let’s put the GOPride manufactured controversy in the trash bin where it belongs right now.

Rand Paul

Mitt Romney

Mitt Romney gave a great speech on family values and the importance of bringing real world experience in private enterprise to government.  However, he continues to be haunted by the specter legacy of RomneyCare in Massachusets as well as his connection to the Open Borders crowd, see William Weld Backs Romney for Oval Office.  William Weld Finance Chair for Romney (see part about Weld being Clinton’s ambassador to Mexico.)  Weld was co-chair of Romney’s campaign in NY state and TA DA was also co-author of the Open Borders operating manual, the Council on Foreign Relations paper, Building a North American Community.  Romney’s republican advisor Weld also endorsed Obama over McCain.

Tim Pawlenty

To chants of “T-Paw” from college Republicans from Minnesota, the former Minnesota governor gave a great speech on conservative principles.  Due to a rhetorical peculiarity in his speech, there was a humorous undertone that pervaded the speech as a result of some tete-a-tete with the audience.  Pawlenty asked, “On what planet does it make sense where bureaucratic regulation results in a better economy?”  To which someone at the back of the audience shouted, “Pluto!”  Then the next closest planet came into view when the former Governor asked, “On what planet does government management of healthcare result in a better healthcare system?”  As you might expect, some wisecracker yelled out the answer, “Uranus!” causing the governor and the audience to laugh.  Pretty much from then on the answer from the audience to every rhetorical question the governor posed was the name of the 7th planet.  :)

Orrin Hatch

Orrin Hatch spoke on a panel about the “Balanced Budget Amendment” he is co-sponsoring.  An undertone to the speech was about how Congress can’t muster the votes to pass it and, therefore, a new constitutional convention needs to be called to pass it.  Hatch was asked by a Utahn in attendance how anyone could trust what Hatch had to say when he voted for the first TARP bailout.  Reminiscent of the 2000 Utah Republican Party State Convention where the same occurred, Hatch was roundly booed by the audience.  Hatch responded at CPAC as at the 2000 Utah republican party state convention that he was “sorry” and that the audience didn’t understand the kind of pressure he was under.  At the 2000 Utah *county* convention, he was roundly criticized by the audience for appointing all of the Clinton federal judge nominees to which, in response, he wagged his finger at the audience saying, “You don’t understand the pressure I’m under.  You don’t know what it’s like.”  Utah GOP state delegates on Hatch, click here.

Herman Cain

Conservative black radio show host, Herman Cain, gave a *fantastic* speech regarding the evils of political correctness and what being a real American Patriot means.  A highlight of his speech was his elaboration of liberal tactics he calls SIN tactics.   Liberals have no strategy except for their end goal of turning the nation into Europe and will use their SIN-tactics of “S”hifting the subject, “I”gnoring the facts and “N”ame Calling in order to achieve their goal.

Ron Paul

The runaway draw to CPAC this year was last year’s CPAC Straw Poll winner, Texas Congressman Ron Paul.  The Paulites dominated the convention.  The line at Paul’s book signing weaved through every row of the exhibition hall, out the door, filling the exhibition hall foyer.  Two hours after his speech, the line was still 200-300 people long, weaving through the exhibition hall. 

The Donald Trump issue and Cheney controversy has been exaggerated by the media.  It was a bigger deal outside of CPAC and on the TV than it was at the conference itself.

Newt Gingrich – the Enviro-Liberal – Again!

The last I reported on Newt Gingrich we caught him shilling for Al Gore and Al Gore’s green enviro-wacko initiatives, having made a commercial with Nancy Pelosi.

Well, as the Gipper used to say, “Here we go again.”

This time we catch Newt shilling for Ethanol “clean fuels.”  Not just shilling, but he was hired as their lobbyist!

This “industry” is subsidized by taxpayers on two sides – direct subsidies to growers – and an ethanol “surcharge” at the pump, as ethanol costs more than plain gasoline, meaning you pay more at the pump to buy it.  Additionally, for that extra charge you get lower gas mileage and, ironically, produce more particulates per mile due to that lower gas milage (burning more material in your engine for the same gas mileage as you would burn with just plain gas.)

Seriously, are there still conservatives out there who think Newt is one of us?

How many times does he have to flaunt his globalist-elitist enviro-wackoism before you take him off your “conservative hopefuls” list?  Does he need to come over to your home and flash his “green” card credential or show you his membership card in the Council on Foreign Relations?

Please, scratch him off your “conservatives” list once and for all.

Thank you to John McCain and other Republicans for voting to create the TSA that has resulted in this situation.  While Napolitano has widened this outrage, this is what you get when our party strays from the constitution and from its roots.  Republicans have always opposed an internal national police force to “monitor” the law abiding ala the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the old Soviet Union.

You asked for it, you got it!  Those who trade liberty for security, will have neither.

Tips for helping you Survive Your Government Grope

NOTE:  Even if you choose to go through a scanner (which will produce a picture of you naked and subject you to radiation)* you still may get pulled out for an “Enhanced Pat Down Search.”

Before a TSA employee puts their hand on you – insist that they put on a clean gloves.  Here is a short list of parasites and infections that could be transferred from an earlier passenger to you:

E. Coli

The symptoms of usually appear after about a week of being infected with the bacteria. Abdominal cramps followed by watery diarrhea are the first symptoms this infection. The dehydration caused by the loss of fluids makes an individual feel sick and tired. Soon, it makes sores in the intestines and the stools become bloody. An individual also might suffer from mild fever and nausea or vomiting.

Staph Infection

Staph skin infections, including MRSA, generally start as small red bumps that resemble pimples, boils or spider bites. These can quickly turn into deep, painful abscesses that require surgical draining. Sometimes the bacteria remain confined to the skin. But they can also burrow deep into the body, causing potentially life-threatening infections in bones, joints, surgical wounds, the bloodstream, heart valves and lungs.

Pneumonia, Colds and Flu

Small droplets of fluid containing the virus can be wiped off the person before you and transferred to you.

Body Lice

Body lice are unable to burrow into the skin. Although a few body lice may be seen clinging to body hairs, most are on the clothing of an infected person.   1. Pilots and Flight Attendants Union both urged their members to opt for their own safety
  2. Manufacturers can’t be sued for faulty design under the 2002 Homeland Security Act
  3. It’s radiation.  Unlike a medical x-ray that passes through the body, this stays in your skin.
  4. Google Dr. John Sedat’s letter to TSA warning of dangers of “Back Scatter Technology.”
  5. You don’t want strangers to see you naked.
  6. Ask the TSA employees if they can wear radiation detection badges.  They should, but they are prohibited.

Why should you be forced to put your health and dignity at risk just to travel in the “land of the free and home of the brave”?

Newt Gingrich is a conservative? Are you SURE?

Then why is he schilling for Al Gore?!?

As everyone by now surely knows, this November’s elections will be the most important in recent memory and will very likely see a Republican wave, similar to or possibly in excess of that which brought Gingrich to the Speakership back in 1994.

That election came to be called a Revolution, although the long-term effects were mixed, to say the least. To many, the election of ’94 was an opportunity to roll back the tide of big government that was eventually squandered.

This year, we hope to take advantage of another opportunity to stem the tide of runaway government control of our lives. We hope to recover our lost liberties and repair our broken economy by rejecting the collectivist call to central planning and returning to the traditional American system of unleashing human ingenuity through freedom, competition, and unfettered innovation.

In order to do that, though, I believe we must keep firmly in mind the principles that guide us to the polls.

For far too long, candidates have gotten into office on big talk, with little delivery. Democrats fight to expand government everywhere and always, and far too many Republicans end up embracing socialism light in the name of “bipartisanship.”

Many see this last failing as the reason the Revolution of ’94 ultimately failed. In many ways, the surging Tea Party movement is a rejection of this kind of compromise on principle.

So if you are approached by Newt claiming he’s helping Republicans, you might want to remember that Newt also wants us to help Nancy Pelosi fight global warming.

Or Climate Change.

Or whatever it’s called this week.

Two years ago, Mr. Gingrich got comfy with Nancy on a couch in front of the Capitol Building to do a commercial for We Can Solve It, a video project for celebrities and politicians, who recorded messages about the urgency of stopping global warming.

Their website is http://www.wecansolveit.org/ . While that’s disturbing enough, a little digging reveals We Can Solve It is actually a project of The Alliance for Climate Protection. You can confirm the link between the two here. The We Can Solve It campaign is the third project on the list of the Alliance’s “Our Work” page.

The Alliance for Climate Protection was founded in 2006 with the mission to “close the gap between the 77% of people who believe that there is solid evidence that the Earth is warming and the 47% who believe that warming is linked to human activity.”

The founder and chairman of the Alliance for Climate Protection is Al Gore.

Now, I’m sure that Mr. Gingrich will not be discussing any of this at the NCGOP’s fundraiser on the 27th. I’m sure he’ll be rallying the conservative faithful to get out there, work a polling location, walk their precincts, make phone calls, and do all the other necessary work to win on November 2nd. That is all well and good, and I’m all for that.

Nevertheless, I have to take with a grain of salt the words of anyone who thinks it’s important to help Nancy Pelosi and Al Gore save the planet from… well, us.  Newt, you got caught!  Let the political backpeddling begin!

GET RID OF THE RINOS FOLKS.   Given the above, that means Newt’s gotta go too.

Brewer: Pro-Amnesty. Huckster?

Yes, Jan Brewer signed SB1070.

What does that have to do with amnesty?  Nothing.

SB1070 does zero to secure the border.  Zero.  The claim that it reduces illegal immigration is based on the claims that it will reduce the “demand” of illegal immigrants to cross the border illegally as they will not be able to easily integrate into society here, get a job, drive, etc.

(Of course, SB1070 will not stop a single coyote, drug mule, murderer or OTM or terrorist from crossing the border illegally as those people are not interested in integrating into Arizona society, but are here for other purposes.)

However, the purpose of this post is not to dispute  the claims of SB1070 supporters.

This post does lay bare the falsehood and claim that any supporter of SB1070 is anti-amnesty.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

SB1070 has nothing to do with amnesty, either for or against.  In fact, SB1070 implements an efficient mechanism to enforce amnesty, if/when amnesty passes.  If amnesty were to pass, all the amnestied-in former illegal immigrants will appear in the ICE database at the US Department of Homeland Security as being here legally.  They will be able to obtain drivers licenses and access socialist benefits.  Therefore, SB1070 enforcement will merely return : “Yep, here legally” results.

Brewer knows this.  But Jan Brewer is a liberal pro-tax, pro-spending, pro-amnesty Republican who needs to appear to be conservative going into the primary for governor on August 24th.  So, Brewer signed SB1070.  Does that mean she’s anti-amnesty?  Absolutely not!

In fact Brewer is cited all over the internet as being pro-amesty, her only proviso being that the border must be secured first.

So, in classic John McCain (“I voted for it before I voted against it.”/”I voted against it before I voted for it.”) fashion, Brewer is swerving way to the right to pick up votes in the primary, with an aforestated intention that she will immediately sway left once the primary is over to support the McCain/Obama/Kyl comprehensive immigration reform effort.

The amnesty fight is coming.  Supporting Brewer and McCain just means you are supporting pro-amnesty politicians for office.  That means, by definition, you are not a conservative.

Do not let the pro-SB1070 subterfuge blind you to a candidate’s support of the completely separate issue of amnesty.

Leading people to believe one thing just to perform a slight of hand to give them another, Ms Brewer.  Calling yourself a conservative when you support amnesty?

This weekend while driving around doing errands, I passed Jim Ward’s congressional campaign sign at Tatum and Shea on the SW corner.

As I was waiting at the light there was a big sticker on it that said “ANTI ESTABLISHMENT OUTSIDER”.

Then I picked up my mail on Saturday and lo and behold I received a personal letter from John Shadegg explaining his endorsement for his friend Jim Ward and how I should send money to Jim for his campaign.

Now, maybe I missed something, but do anti-establishment outsiders typically get endorsed by sitting congressmen?  Do anti-establishment outsiders get the benefit of the use of sitting congressmen’s mailing lists?

You cannot be two simultanously opposite things at the same time.

Either Jim Ward is an anti-establishment outsider.

Or Jim Ward is an establishment insider.

Whichever one he wants you to believe he is, whichever one you happen to believe he is, whichever one he, in fact is, is less relevant than the fact that he’s hucking, trying to be all things to all people at once and being none of them….

…except for a candidate being supported by establishment insiders who voted for all of the largest spending programs in history!

Arizona Immigration Law = National ID for Arizonans

Despite protestations to the contrary from the law’s sponsor and others, this law turns the Arizona drivers license  (actually any state license) into a national id.

It’s a common misconception to believe that the national id must be a card or a chip.

National ID not a card or a chip, but is the data that the federal government has on you.  What the federal government has been attempting to do for many years, most notably under the Clinton administration, was to find a way to integrate all of the various data they have on American citizens into an easily searchable, easily sharable database and data exchange format.

SB1070 states

F. Except as provided in federal law, officials or agencies of this state and counties, cities, towns and other political subdivisions of this state may not be prohibited or in any way be restricted from sending, receiving or maintaining information relating to the immigration status, lawful or unlawful, of any individual or exchanging that information with any other federal, state or local governmental entity for the purposes of determining eligibiltiy for any … license and for the purposes of verifying any claim of residence or domicile.

This section removes ALL restrictions from the exchange of license data between any state agency and any federal agency.  This section applies to ANY PERSON.  This section includes ANY LICENSE.  Under this section ANY state agency may exchange ANY person’s license data with ANY federal agency without any restriction whatsoever.

This problem has nothing to do with what occurs at a police stop. It removes ALL restrictions from data exchange, including a full data dump, or including full back and forth real-time queryability, between any state license database and any or ALL federal agencies, beginning July 1, including the IRS or Homeland Security.

Protestations from the bill’s sponsor have included:  “That’s not what it says.”  “That’s not what it means.”  “It’s not in there.”

Yes, Mr. Pearce, but that’s what the law SAYS word for word, in black and white, in 8th grade level English, no lawyers required.

Other  protestations such as in this post include playing word games….

The fact that A.R.S. section 11-1051 allows for the sending, receiving, maintaining or exchanging of immigration status information with any federal, state or local agency does not in any way invoke the application of RIDA (REAL ID Act) in Arizona.

First, what does the REAL ID act have to do with it?   Nothing.  The REAL ID Act was a single federal program which attempted to force the state to turn over certain data to the feds.  This bill turns over the same data that the REAL ID Act mandated, but does so voluntarily by the state, having nothing to do with REAL ID, but having everything to do with national id once the federal government gets their hands on the data.  REAL ID here is completely irrelevant.

Second, what is “immigration status” relative to a citizens’ domicile?  Or how would you verify a citizen’s eligibility for a drivers license (or any license) via exchange of that citizen’s data with the federal government?  Why would you need to?  Where is the limitation to the term “immigration status” in the data exchange with the federal government in checking a citizen’s domicile information with the feds or a citizen’s eligibility for a driver’s license (or a business license, or a hunting license - ANY license, remember). Nowhere.  Why would the state need to do so relative to its citizens?  But that’s precisely what the law enables.

The county attorney’s office goes onto state:

Subsection F states four limiting “official purposes.” If a public agent or bureaucrat cannot demonstrate that he accessed a person’s information pursuant to subsections F’s official purposes

A bureaucrat accessing the person’ s information is not at question here.  Removal of all restrictions in sending law abiding citizen’s data to the federal government relevant to check the citizen’s domicile and/or eligibility for a license is.

Arizona law cannot dictate what the federal government does with law abiding citizen’s data once it is handed over to the feds.  The feds, of course, will promptly put the data into whatever database they want which accomplishes their longstanding goal to implement a national id system.

Again, national id is NOT a card. It is the unique identifiers such as your name, SSN, domicile and biometric data such as your digitial photo on file with the MVD, once turned over to the feds and put into their national id database.  Once the data is placed into the national id database, then your DL can be run against that national id database and is, VOILA, a national id.

Russell Pearce continues to protest stating that he’s against national ids and that this bill does not contain national id.

And, yet, he fails to address the matter of the data exchange of law abiding citizens’ license data with “any agency” of the federal government, including Janet Napolitano’s agency, who is dying to get her hands on this information, especially gun owners’ information.

The only time the exchange of citizens’ data has ever been addressed was in the opinion that Andrew Thomas’ office wrote, linked to above, which stated it’s not REAL ID.   So what?  REAL ID is not the only national id program.  PASS ID, BELIEVE ID, or just drivers’ license database dumps into the Homeland Security database all turn state drivers licenses into national ids…..

….but only if the state hands over the data.  Which SB1070 does, willingly, of all citizens.

Russell Pearce is quoted as saying, “If we don’t turn over all of our data to the federal government, then how will be know who is SUPPOSED to be here.”

Wait a second, Senator Pearce, I thought this bill was supposed to be about who is NOT supposed to be here.

Senator Pearce, if you’re telling the truth and are against national id, THEN FIX THE LAW and prohibit the exchange of law abiding citizens’ data with the federal government.

No patriot hands over the private data of law abiding citizens to the feds, such as you have done in SB1070.

Anyone who does betrays the hard work of conservative patriots who have been fighting national ids since before the Clinton administration and since.

Fix the law before July 1. Otherwise, welcome to the leftist globalist Clintonista agenda as implemented by the right.

Gun Owners of America oppose national ids because they state that once the federal government has your drivers license data, they have enough information to track gun purchases…

Not to mention the fact that from the federal side of the fence, they plan on using the SAME SYSTEM to enable AMNESTY.   We can’t have it both ways – to use secure ids to keep illegal aliens out and at the same time use secure ids to let them in.

Right’s Fervor to Enforce Immigration Law Hijacked to Serve Leftist Agenda – Part II

Several weeks ago, I posted about how the right, in its vigor to try to stem the problems of illegal immigration, is actually advancing the leftists agenda of national id and north american integration.

This installment is to provide more evidence of the same.

In a March 8, 2010 Wall Street Journal article, “ID Card for Workers is at Center of Immigration Plan”, you can see that it is the explicit intent of the leftists (such as Schumer), globalists and RINOs (such as Lindsay Graham) to force anyone applying for a job to present a national id to obtain one.

What do you think e-Verify is?  It’s a web front end sitting on top of the US Department of Homeland Security’s national id database which integrates data from the US Department of Labor, the US Department of Health and Human Services, the State Department, pretty much every department, but most importantly and worst of all, from the states.

Why do the feds need the state data on the states’ own citizens so badly?  Because otherwise, the feds to not have all of the data they need to track each legal citizen uniquely.  Why? Because in the past it’s been ILLEGAL to do so.  Not to mention the fact that there is absolutely no authority in the constitution for the federal government to track law abiding citzens, nor to expend sacred tax dollars on doing so.

How does the federal government get data from the states?  There are several ways, but here’s a summary of a few relevant ones….

1) 42USC666 (a)(13), implemented under the federal Deadbeat Dad’s law.  This federal statute required states to collect SSNs from all drivers’ license applicants and remit them to the federal government.  However, this information alone was still not enough to create a water  tight data tracking system for citizens (nor to obtain enough information on individuals to tie to legal gun purchases from dealers, but that’s another story.)

2) REAL ID. The REAL ID program was a federal mandate on the states to collect and remit certain information on their citzens in order for the federal government to complete building out their national id database.  The cost of compliance on states was very high.  Additionally, conservatives opposed this strongly on religious and political grounds and many states, such as Arizona, “opted out”.

3) A state voluntarily hands over the data.

This one is a tricky one.  For example, the state of Arizona, has always traditionally resisted handing over data from its law abiding citizens.  However, recently under SB1070, the anti-immigration law, SB1070 removes ALL RESTRICTIONS from sending and exchanging license data for ANY LICENSE for ANY PERSON (legal or illegal), with ANY AGENCY of the federal government.

SB1070 does not restrict the sending and exchange of law abiding Arizona citizens’ data with the feds to a police stop.  It removes ALL RESTRICTIONS and ALL PROHIBITIONS from the exchange of law abiding Arizona citizens’ license data with the federal government, beginning July 1.

That means any agency that has license data on Arizonans can send all or none, it can send the entire database of license data anytime it wants, beginning July 1, 2010.

You can rest assured that the federal government, especially Janet Napolitano and the US Department of Homeland Security, will amply incentivize the MVD and DPS to do so, so she can get her hands on the data she needs to track your gun purchases, among other things.

So, whereas Arizona opted out of the federal mandate program called “REAL ID” wherein the federal government attempted to pull data from Arizona to complete its national id database data on Arizona citizens, under SB1070, Arizona turns around and hands Janet Napolitano and G_d only knows who else, including the IRS, all data it has on you as a law abiding Arizona citizen.

Hmm… betcha didn’t know that was in the immigration law, did ya?

Read the bill - indeed.

So, how does that turn Arizona licenses into national ids?  Despite the cartoon picture at the top of this post, a national id is not a card, barcode, RFID chip, nor a magnetic strip.

It is the DATA the government has on you, such as your unique identifers, name, domicile, any biometric identifiers such as the digitized MVD photo on your license, which is also in your MVD data file.

So, if Arizona hands the data over to the feds and the feds promptly stick the data in their national id database and all of that data links directly to your drivers license, guess what?!?!?!?

VOILA…. your Arizona drivers license turns into something Clinton always pined for and dreamed of foisting on the country, A NATIONAL ID CARD!

The same card can and will be used to deny birth certificates for your children, unless you agree to a national id card check.

The same card can and will be used to deny you the ability to work, per the WSJ article above, to deny you work.  In other words, no citizen may work before the US Department of Homeland Security clears them to work (or doesn’t if you happen to be a political opponent.)

If you do not have your unique identifiers and national id on your mind or in your hand at all times,  you will be denied the ability to buy, sell, or engage legally in any commercial transaction, such as banking, buying/selling a home, opening a business (SB1070 does not exempt the exchange of business license data with the feds either.)

Conservatives have ALWAYS opposed national ids, since day 1 when FDR wanted them, in the 1980s, Ronald Reagan was vehemently opposed, in the 1990s the conservatives stopped every Clinton and democrat attempt at creating them.

Now, conservatives are supporting them.    Worse, it’s conservatives advancing the leftist globalist agenda, which has always been to number and catalog citizens as a form of control and……..

Become a Freedom OUTLAW!! YEEEEEHAW

I know we like to think of the GOP as the party of law and order.

However, we are also the party of Barry Goldwater and, especially in Arizona, we have also to maintain the western spirit of republicanism – individualism and opposition to government growth.

At the 1964 RNC national convention, Barry Goldwater delivered the speech “Extremism in the Defense of Liberty is No Vice“.

We must maintain the Rebel spirit, the Spirit of 1776, rebellion against government, such as our forefathers did who slept on the frozen ground at Valley Forge and then went off to fight the greatest military force of all time.

Yes, we are the party of law and order, but only supporting those laws that minimize government, lower taxes, lower spending and prevent crime against other people where there is an aggrieved party.

The wussie Republicans of today say that speeding 11 mph over the limit and getting a photo radar ticket is ok, because we are the party of law and order.  Phooey on them.  If there were an aggrieved party other than the State, then ok.  If the driving were reckless and endangering others, I’d agree.  But, for example, speeding alone is no reason to bring down the hammer of the State onto otherwise law abiding citizens.

Extremism in defense of liberty is no vice.  Remember that or go join your Tory bretheren and let posterity remember that you were not my countryman.

Here’s a litty ditty posted at BACKWOODS HOME MAGAZINE.  “Become a FREEDOM OUTLAW”!  YeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeHAW.  Let Arizona return to its rabid individualistic roots upon which it was founded!

“Freedom Outlaw.” The term came up here a few days ago. It’ll arise again and again on this blog.

If you’ve been hanging out in my vicinity for a few years, you probably know what I mean by it. If not, you might be puzzled or even offended by the notion that people who believe in freedom are (or should be) criminals. Thought I’d stop this morning and define some terms.

So this is mostly for people who haven’t heard it all before.

A Freedom Outlaw is (loosely) somebody who cares so much about freedom that he or she will go after it regardless of any laws or regulations blocking the way. Will go after it personally. Not petition for it. Not write letters for it. Not vote for it. But GO for it.

Also, a Freedom Outlaw has panache. Think Robin Hood. Think V. Think (not to be self-promotional here, but …) of the swashbuckling fellow on the cover of this book.

Does a Freedom Outlaw really have to be a criminal? Well … yes and no. If the thought of being a criminal offends you, I can only say, “Get over it.” As Kent McManigal states so well, every, single one of us is already a criminal. We violate obscure laws from the time we open our eyes in the morning till the moment we fall exhausted into bed. Three Felonies a Day according to Harvey Silverglate. And the more innocent we are in our hearts when we commit those “crimes,” the riper we are for the plucking by corrupt prosecutors and regulators.

Heck, we probably violate laws, federal or state, even as we snooze. Maybe our PJs flout fireproofing regulations. Perhaps our snoring is regulated somewhere as noise pollution. Maybe our dreams are filled with acts of subversion.

But the simple fact is that we are already criminals, each and every one of us, even if we do our utmost to be “law-abiding citizens.”

There are simply too many laws to abide.

So we might as well embrace and enjoy what we are.
