The Lie that is Michele Reagan

The Lie that is Michele Reagan

Senator Michele Reagan from Legislative District 23 is the most effective traitor to ever serve in the Arizona Legislator.  Michele can currently be found skipping through the state asking you to forgive her, again, for banding with a traitorous group of Republicans and voting, again, with the Democrats, and oh pretty please can you not add her name on that censure. Michele has been a traitor not once not twice but three separate times granting her the distinct status as “the traitor who has survived” and is now so emboldened by her ability to make excuses for rolling the Senate President and bringing Obrewercare to Arizona that she is asking for a promotion! She wants to be the next Secretary of State – yikes!

To prove that good silver-tongued politicians from Chicago are not solely confined to the Democrat party Michele is now running through the legislative district circuit spinning her vote for Obrewercare.  And just in case you want to try and argue her mastery of the “excuse” she delivers by changing her story for different LD’s proving her knack for being consistently inconsistent.

Michele’s LD23 version was reported in the Arizona Freedom Alliance, “I voted yes to be sure it passed and went to the House.  The House is much more conservative than the Senate and I expect them to strip the medicaid expansion out of that bill before sending it back to the Senate” Huh?  AFA calls this a tad convoluted and speculates that she was attempting to help secure a 2/3 majority.  But Michele is already spinning on over to LD18 with the line that it was a calculated parliamentarian move so she could make a motion to reconsider but the Governor messed it all up with the Special Session … O.K?  One itty bitty detail Michele, the motion to reconsider needs to be made before it leaves the body, so why didn’t you make the motion?

The validity of the excuse is tainted because not once, not twice, but THREE times Michele sided with a small drove of Republicans, and 100% of the Democrat caucus, in a hostile act against the Republican principle of limited government.

In May of 2004 Michele voted “YEA” with 14 Republicans for Democrat Janet Napolitano’s budget to raise the state budget more than a billion dollars. The Senate President at the time stated “The liberals defied every principle of the Republican Party. We had commitments, but this was betrayed by dishonest people. They worked behind the scenes with the governor.”

No Republican that voted for the 2004 budget is currently serving in an elected office except for Michele Reagan.

In 2008 Michele willingly joined three Republicans, 100% of the Democrats and Governor Napolitano to deliver another deficit producing budget HB2209 by a 31 yes to 29 no vote.

No Republican that voted for the 2008 budget is currently serving in an elected office except for Michele Reagan.

So this May Michele, again, joins 5 Republicans and votes ‘YEA’ for Obrewercare, SB1492,  in the middle of the night after Senator McComish made a motion to suspend the rules to stop Senate President Andy Biggs from trying to save Arizona from the train-wreck that is Obamacare.

It is crystal clear – Michele voted for Obrewercare. Michele attended meetings where they plotted how they would force this down our throats.  Michele attended the pizza party the Governor threw on the 9th floor during a break.  And now Michele is again making excuses.

Just in case you want to fall for dear old Michele’s spell that convinces folks that RINO horn is really an elephant trunk then remember in April 2006 she voted, again, with 100% of the Democrat caucus and with 2 Republicans ‘NAY’ against HB 2666 – Notarized Parental Consent for Abortions. Nothing Republican there.  Then in 2009 she sponsors bill HB2544 to teach sex education in the Kindergarten classroom.  Nothing Republican there.

Michele with full purpose and intent has cast herself into the role of traitor.  Whatever character flaw you want to contribute to an elected official who will intentionally vote against the Senate President, the Speaker of the House, their own caucus and the wishes of the Precinct committeemen who walked for them, made phone calls for them, and who gave them money and then passed a resolution taking an unequivocal stand you cannot excuse this knife in all these backs.

It is time for all Republicans take a stand and hold those we elect accountable for their votes.

Come on Republicans. Censure Michele Reagan and do not give her the opportunity to stab our Republicans in the back again.

The Face of the Opposition to URAPC

The opposition to URAPC was given $30K recently to block the efforts of volunteer grassroots principled conservatives.  And what are these volunteers with the United Republican Alliance of Principled Conservatives doing?  Gathering signatures.  They are even bringing their children along to teach them how to be an active participant in their state political process.  The right to petition your government is a fundamental right after all.

These volunteers are now facing paid petition blockers.  Chad Willems ran the “FAKE” petition drive for the Governors Team but for the last two weeks no one from URAPC has seen a “FAKE” petition.  They have seen the man in these pictures and in this video. They have experienced uncouth, foul, disgusting behavior in locations Brewer Thug 6across the state.

Racist insults fly.  A Guatemalan immigrant grandmother was called a “brown skin” in Tucson just yesterday.

Listen carefully to the video for “who doesn’t like black people .. sign up” “you are the same people who crucified Jesus” and in the end the young girl, who hangs her head throughout the video hoping to not be noticed, saying “he is scary”.

Shame on Restoring Arizona for resorting to such heartless measures.

Survey Shows Immense Support for the Referendum on the ObamaCare Medicaid Expansion

The United Republican Alliance of Principled Conservatives released the results of a statewide survey conducted last week that shows immense support for the referendum on the ObamaCare Medicaid Expansion. The statewide survey shows that 69% to 70% of respondents continue to reject Governor Brewer’s plan to implement the ObamaCare Medicaid Expansion in Arizona.

The survey asked:

Do you believe that the voters should have the opportunity to vote on the Obamacare / Medicaid Expansion in the 2014 election?

  • (30%) No
  • (70%) Yes
  • (0%) Unsure

The survey also shows that regardless of political affiliation, income, or gender people in Arizona believe elected representatives should participate in any law they impose upon the people with an extraordinary 97% positive response to the question:

Do you agree that Congress and their employees should be on the same plan as taxpayers?

  • (02%) No
  • (97%) Yes
  • (01%) Unsure

The Governors attempt to ignore the facts that Proposition 204 was a vote on how to spend the tobacco fund and a population increase to 100% versus her 2013 Medicaid Expansion bill that is funded by new taxes and increases the population to 133% is rejected by a consistent 69% to 70% of those surveyed.

The survey was conducted from August 19-21, 2013 with on online survey and 541 respondents. The heavily Republican response shows that 72% oppose ObamaCare, 69% reject a tax increase to pay for it, and 70% reject a repeat of the 2010 cuts to education, roads, or public safety.

The numbers reveal a steady pattern consistent with the poll conducted in April of this year by Magellan Strategies, proving once again that Arizona voters reject participation in ObamaCare including the Medicaid Expansion.

URAPC presents the survey as evidence that the referendum will experience the same resounding victory that occurred with the overwhelming passage of Proposition 106 in 2010. The survey clearly shows the Governors attempt to ignore the copious differences between her 2013 Medicaid Expansion and the 13-year old Proposition 204 is rejected by the majority of Arizona voters.

The United Republican Alliance of Principled Conservatives continues its mission to unite the voters in Arizona to defeat Governor Brewer’s ill conceived and unconstitutional legislation so it can be referred to the ballot and vetoed by the people of Arizona.  The Governor and Restoring Arizona continue to openly mock and ridicule

the Precinct Committeemen, Small Businessmen, and Hard Working Taxpayers that have taken up pen and clipboard to thwart the alliance of Corporate welfare recipients, greedy lobbyists, and rogue Republican legislators. URAPC grows as those committed to having their voices heard by collecting the required signatures to send this critical decision to the voters.

Give yourself an Obamacare / Medicaid Expansion Waiver

Who wants Obamacare?

Capitol Hill employees say “NO”.  Members of Congress and Hill Aides say “NO”.

IRS employees say “NO”.  IRS Employees Just Say ‘No!’ to Obamacare.

Teamsters Union says “NO.”  Union Bosses:’ObamaCare Will Destroy Health of Americans.

Brewer & the 15 Rogue Republicans say “YES”.

Join URAPC and say “NO.”  Sign the petition and give yourself a waiver.

Waivers are flying out of the Obama office for everyone BUT the Alliance – precinct committeemen, hard-working taxpayers and small business owners. Calling or writing your Representatives will not help you. This is you against your government – so help yourself and fill up a petition. Give a friend a petition.

Right now – this is your only power.  It is true – YOU and “We The People” can stop Obamacare and the Medicaid Expansion in Arizona.  When the signatures are validated – it stops.

The establishment has a different plan. They believe you should let the Medicaid Expansion go into effect in January and then they want you to work really, really hard to get Republicans elected in 2014 and then they want you to believe those Republicans will vote this all away.

I do not believe that.

And what about the next session?  What will happen then?

What will the Governor agree to just to get her education agenda passed?
Will Brewer call a “special session” put in new leadership and pass the Obamacare Exchanges?
Will Brewer run for Governor again?
Will Brewer offer amnesty to the illegals in AZ?

Who do you believe?

Give yourself a waiver – sign the petition.

URAPC Response to Brewer’s Team

On Wednesday the Governor and her allies wrote a letter to Secretary of State Ken Bennett asking him to “offer an assessment of the long-term viability of the referendum application and the sample petition on which URAPC relies.”

The URAPC referendum application was accepted by the Secretary of State’s office on June 25th at 1:28 pm. The Secretary of State’s office issued referendum number, R-01-2014, which is on the bottom of every URAPC petition making URAPC the valid committee and ours the only valid petition to refer the Medicaid expansion and the associated bed tax to the 2014 ballot for a People’s Veto. The issuance of the number is the Secretary of State’s statement that the petition was accepted. That is the job of the Secretary of State’s office.

The rest of the letter is viewed by URAPC as an act of desperation and a continuation of the deceitful practices the opposition has chosen to utilize. The Secretary of State is not a lawyer and he does not issue legal opinions. The opposition admits to their deceit at the end of the letter when they ask the Secretary of State to write an assessment and then say that “the courts, rather than your office, must ultimately decide the legality of URAPC’s actions to date.”

They are hoping you will not read the lengthy legalize and instead be confused by semantics and insinuation by one of their high priced “legal guns.” If lawyers knew everything we wouldn’t need judges and juries now would we?

For the record, the URAPC attorneys reviewed the letter and found it laughable. URAPC attorneys will do their work in the courtroom and will not participate in the political circus of propaganda, chicanery and deceit led by the Governor and her team at Restoring Arizona. The Governors Team is free to continue their “pen pal” relationship with the Secretary of State. While they do that, URAPC will continue to gather signatures.

We thank the Secretary of State’s office for agreeing with URAPC in their official statement: “spokesman Matt Roberts said Wednesday that the office would not get involved.“These things fall out of jurisdiction of the Secretary of State’s Office,” Roberts said. “These would be for courts to decide.”

While URAPC appreciates the concern for our volunteers in the summer heat, we would like to note that just a few weeks ago they predicted we would be unable to find volunteers due to the 100 degree temperatures. Instead they now find themselves faced with a clipboard and pen equipped army at malls, restaurants, and shopping centers across the entire state of Arizona. Our opposition attempted to deceive the public with a “fake” petition drive but failed.  They couldn’t find enough people willing to take their money to gather signatures and convince the citizens of this state to help the health care industry become the largest corporate welfare recipient in history.

The letter from the Governor’s Team is just another failed attempt to confuse and discourage our volunteers; this is just the beginning. The arrogance is blatant. We may be lowly precinct committeemen, small businessmen, and hard-working taxpayers but we can read the Arizona Constitution which affords us the right to veto legislation. Throughout history when the people stand together they have prevailed against the arrogance of the elite and powerful, from the time of Goliath to the British Crown.

To our loyal and hardworking volunteers: Do not be distracted. These attempts are intentionally designed to stall principled conservatives from gathering signatures while you search for answers to erroneous questions. This is just the beginning of a well funded campaign to misinform and confuse, and its right out of the playbook of liberal Chicago style politics.

URAPC challenges you to instead help us show the elite, the establishment, and the arrogant, that our voices still matter in Arizona by raising your personal goal by another 200 signatures. If we can submit 200,000 signatures the chances of a court case will dwindle.

URAPC would like to request a letter of our own from Ken Bennett, not in the capacity of Secretary of State, but as soon to be gubernatorial candidate. We, the Principled Conservatives of Arizona, would like a letter stating where you stand on the Medicaid Expansion and the implementation of Obamacare in Arizona.

Brewer and the Rogue Republicans versus Reagan and the PCs.

Brewer and the Rogue Republicans versus Reagan and the PCs.

Recently Governor Jan Brewer sent an email to “Fellow Republicans”. The drumbeat is old. She takes credit for every piece of legislation the conservative super-majority had to drag her kicking and screaming to sign. She continues a litany of the same old tiring message blatantly treating the precinct committeemen like uninformed, low information voters. Bolding words and underlining and underlining and underlining she once again goes on a tirade of how she only wants to help ensure that crony-capitalism rules the day in Arizona completely ignoring the fact that Obamacare in no way fits in the Republican Party platform. Invoking the words of Ronald Reagan she ignores his conservative message along with the message in the resolutions that every legislative district in Arizona, but one, passed.

Glaringly absent in the Governor’s repertoire is SB1070. SB1070 is the landmark legislation of Arizona that encompasses our true individualistic spirit and the Governor does not mention it once. State sovereignty exists in the fiber of every Principled Conservative but is lacking in the Governor. She has the audacity to claim that the super majority win in 2010 was due to her one cent sales tax increase, Prop 100, instead of the tireless work of the PC’s fueled by the energy of SB1070!

The Governor rants for 453 words attempting to justify why she had to shove Obamacare down our throats, completely ignoring Ronald Reagan’s simple statement, Government’s first duty is to protect the people, not run their lives.

The PC’s question if she read the resolutions where they state, “Supporting the big government takeover of our health care system, even for a short term gift of federal funds, does NOT reflect the values of the Republican Party or the interests of the taxpayers of Arizona.”

She cannot win on the issues so she tries to bedazzle with facts and gloomy predictions of sickness and death when we believe in the Ronald Reagan idea that, “We should measure welfare’s success by how many people leave welfare, not by how many are added.

She predicts State ruin and attempts to bedazzle with facts throwing around “millions” and “billions” and attempts to differentiate between State and Federal taxes when all the Principled Republicans are asking is what happened to the Ronald Reagan idea, “The problem is not that people are taxed too little, the problem is that government spends too much.

The GOP PCs understand this and included it in their resolutions, “The long term and evolving costs of the Obamacare Medicaid Expansion will surely bankrupt Arizona just as surely as Obamacare will bankrupt the USA.”

She then proves that she has not lost her mastery of deceit by stating the fact that “Arizona’s Medicaid program is NOT Obamacare” when she knows full well that she is implementing the Federal Medicaid Expansion, aka Obrewercare and it IS Obamacare. Does she expect us to forget the emails, letters in the mail and herself in interviews telling us we have to accept “Obamacare as the law of the land?” We made it clear we understood this to be an untruth and we said, “The US Supreme Court explicitly ruled that each State is free to reject implementation of the Obamacare Medicaid Expansion and Insurance Exchanges.”

The PCs reject Brewer’s socialized medicine but embrace Reagan’s conservatism believing that “No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we’ll ever see on this earth!

The PC’s could not have been clearer “We urge Governor Brewer, and all Republican legislators, to hold the line against enabling the socialist takeover of our health care system and insurance industry by rejecting the Medicaid expansion.”

When one reaches the end, one cannot help but wonder why this letter is addressed to Republicans when she has gone so far left that she is proving Ronald Reagan correct when he said, “The trouble with our Liberal friends is not that they’re ignorant; it’s just that they know so much that isn’t so.”

So now she demands we “move on” and attempts to lay guilt on the heads of the PC’s she has tramped all over. Her arrogance would astonish if we had not recently witnessed her suspending the rules and rolling our conservative leaders. Governor Brewer, the 20% carries more weight if it entails throwing someone under the bus.

Let us not forget the ending of the Pima GOP resolution:

“Governor Brewer is correct that “elections have consequences”. She is wrong in believing that it means that we must roll over and forsake our core values as the Arizona Republican Party whenever Republicans lose a national race.”

“Stand your ground. Don’t fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here.”

John Parker, Battle of Lexington, 1775.

Governor Brewer – you fired the first shot. The PC’s pleas to not fire fell on deaf ears. It is indeed time for you and your band of rogue republicans to “move on”.

Maricopa GOP Chair Rallies LD Censures

To all Arizona County and LD Republican Committee Chairmen –
Below is the front page article of the July 15 Arizona Capitol Times. I want to express my appreciation to those courageous and principled County and LD Republican Committees who have already conducted votes of “censure” and/or “no confidence.”
Jan Brewer, the legislators and their crony capitalist friends that support ObamaCare and Medicaid expansion have betrayed Americans, Arizona Republicans and the Republican Party Platform.  Their lack of ethics, integrity and egregious acts are motivated by only two things – greed and the lust for power – at the expense of hard working tax paying Americans.
The law was expected to cost $898 billion over the first decade when the bill was first passed, but this year the Congressional Budget Office revised that estimate to $1.85 trillion.  Money that will have to be borrowed from the Chinese or printed in the backroom of the Federal Reserve.  Latest polls indicate a majority of Americans are opposed to ObamaCare and Medicaid expansion with an overwhelming majority of Republicans in opposition.
During the past six months, we did everything we could to make a solid argument against ObamaCare and Medicaid expansion, we tried to reason with these people and even tried to make them see the light.  Unfortunately, our lobbying efforts fell on deaf ears and without success.
During one of Ronald Reagan’s difficult political battles he said,
“When you can’t make them see the light, make them feel the heat.”
I’m asking all the County and LD Republican Committees to make these people feel the heat by passing public censures for their actions.  They are elitists who think what they have done should be forgiven. They are mistaken.  We are not going to be able to defeat all of them, but we can defeat a majority of them in the 2014 Primary Election.
You can go to “MCRC Briefs” and get examples of public censures that have already been passed.  http://briefs.maricopagop.org/  Just type “censure” in the search field on the left.
Warmest regards,
 A. J. LaFaro
Chairman, Maricopa County Republican Committee
P.S.  Please encourage all of your PCs to keep up their daily efforts in getting petition signatures for www.urapc.org  Getting ObamaCare and Medicaid expansion on the November 2014 ballot will be historic for Arizona’s grassroots conservatives.

The Alliance of Principled Conservatives Stands for Founding Principles

In 1776 the British monarchy hired the Hessian mercenaries to terrorize the colonists in the New World. Ideas like “freedom” and “representation” were considered extreme and radical.

Today in Arizona we face a Governor willing to bypass the checks and balances put in place by our Founding Fathers. A Governor who purposely uses special privileges as a weapon against elected legislators. A Governor who is willing to subvert the spirit of the constitution, call a special session and suspend the rules just to force the largest socialistic takeover in U.S. history – the Obamacare/Medicaid Expansion – upon the people she was elected to serve.

She trampled on our rights. She took away our right to fair representation.  The end result of her actions will eventually lead to the full implementation of Obamacare which will force Arizonans to buy taxed tea ..oops.. I mean Federal health insurance.

Our Government is trampling on our freedoms at the National and State level.

The United Republican Alliance of Principled Conservatives is also labeled “extreme” and “fringe.” URAPC has risen up with pens and clipboards in hand to stop Obamacare using volunteer grassroots Arizonans. So the Governor’s Team forms an opposing committee that throws around outrageous accusations that if URAPC is   “successful, there are a lot of people who are going to get harmed” and then threatening “we’re going to be as aggressive as possible to get out to the public.”

  • They cannot win on the issues.
  • They cannot get a bill passed without suspending the rules, and threatening to remove the President and Speaker.
  • Now they are “aggressively” misleading a.k.a. lying to people to stop us from gathering signatures.

In spite of a well funded $150,000 campaign to stop the gathering of signatures the Alliance of volunteer Republican Principled Conservatives grows.

Swelling the ranks are activists who have been discouraged by the lack of conviction, the lack of pride in the basic Republican tenets of limited government and individual responsibility, and the courage to stand and say “that is wrong get out of the tent.”

URAPC is committed to maintaining the deep individualist spirit of Arizona and restoring freedom from an obtrusive government by leading the way to Veto Governor Brewer’s Medicaid Expansion.

The “Brewer Ruins Arizona Team” – BRAT’s – to bankrupt Arizona and bring you Obamacare

Here comes the “Brewer Ruins Arizona Team” – the BRAT’s –
to bankrupt Arizona and bring you Obamacare.

Governor Brewer suspended the rules in the House to ram Obamacare and a Democrat unbalanced budget through the legislature. So it is not a surprise that the Governor’s Team intends to bend every rule in the book to prevent the Republican Party from their constitutionally defined right to collect signatures to veto her.

She rolled the Senate.
She suspended the rules and rolled the House.
Watch out PC’s – YOUR TURN.

The Fake Petition
The Governor is PAYING signature gatherers to follow the URAPC alliance to create confusion and lead people to think they have already signed a petition.
The Governor’s team of BRAT’s is weak.

  • • They do not have a real petition.
  • • They do not have a real Proposition.
  • • They are a weak alternative to the passion and commitment found at URAPC.

Details of the BRAT Petition
The BRAT’s are carrying a paper with the title: “Petition in Support of Health Care for Arizonans Who Need it Most.”

The Governor continues her strategy of paying to get her way because she cannot win on principle. Her team has hired w ell known traditionally conservative signature gatherers, folks who have worked for Senator Russell Pearce and Sheriff Joe so they will not work for URAPC.

URAPC has approximately 13,000 petitions throughout the state of Arizona. Small business owners who are proud Democrats are joining the Alliance of Principled conservatives to save their businesses and the jobs they create.

Go to:  www.urapc.org to see the BRAT petition.
