The Duck Called Amnesty.

When I was a boy, my Dad taught by example. He also threw in a platitude now and then, to bolster the lessons he gave us to guide our lives.  Today, this one comes to mind: “If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it is a duck.”

  1. We are getting bread and water rather than anything substantive from our elected officials. They are concerned about nothing more than getting through the next election. Elections in which they always cry out for our help. Well, listen up! I’ve carried my last petition and hammered my last sign. I’ve also opened my billfold for Washington, DC candidates for the last time. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, and I’m the fool. Ain’t gonna happen!

Right now, I am as disgusted as I’ve ever been. As a life-long Republican, I’m sorry to say I’m ashamed of the congressional and senatorial votes I’ve cast. We have been duped by the establishment. I worry about the America we are leaving the next generations. Anyone with kids or grandchildren should think long and hard about the duplicitous crowd we call our own. National security is an absolute in this perilous world in which we live. That includes securing the borders and not rewarding lawbreakers!

Thank God for the courageous Congressman, Trent Franks, who must have been taken to the woodshed for his endorsement of Duncan Hunter of McCain. Frannks isn’t my congressman, but he alone will get any donations I still make. He’ll certainly get the dollars I would have given to Flake, McCain and Kyl.
