Global Warming Strikes Tucson area.

While the Tucson area, including central, received some snow the Town of Oracle got up to 7 inches. Long time residents were heard saying that in past snowstorms the temperature seemed much colder. They felt that the warmer nature of this storm proved that global warming was true. Some snow stuck on the ground as far down as Catalina and the northern parts of Rancho Vistoso.

    Any skiing on Mt. Lemon?

They close the road when there is this much snow. The ski hill was already open the other week so hopefully they will let people up there pretty soon. It should be excellent up there.

I keep reading that happy people and those with a sense of humor live longer. I can’t thank you enough for the laugh I got from this article and picture. I’m sure you have given me an extra 5 years. This was especially meaningful for me as I got a bill passed legalizing freon in Arizona and I am sick of the ‘Global Warming is Killing Us’ crowd.

  4. Probably be 125 for all of July next summer…

    Tim,

That reminds me of the time when I lived in Phoenix and the temp got up to 123 or something like that and they had to shut the airport. That was about 10 or 15 years ago so maybe we are in a cooling trend.
