Obama on Iran Nukes: “If you like your nukes you can keep them. Period.”

The Iran Nukes Deal and the 1938 Münich Pact

by Bob Quasius – In a move reminiscent of the 1938 Münich Pact that appeased Hitler by serving up part of Czechoslovakia, the Obama administration agreed to a bad deal on Iran Nukes to appease Iran.

Neville Chamberlain Adolf Hitler iran nukes czechoslovakia

Neville Chamberlain offers up Czechoslovakia as appeasement to Adolf Hitler

I use the term “appeasement” because Iran gave up little of any substance in return for a deal, while the U.S. and other great powers allowed Iran to keep their enrichment capability and heavy water reactor, and partially lifted economic sanctions and freed up frozen assets badly needed by the Iranian economy.

As in 1938, politicians needed diplomatic success to distract attention from domestic woes at home. Europeans were understandably war weary twenty years after the great war, and frightened by Hitler’s bellicose rhetoric.

With Obama’s Obamacare “train wreck” and leadership failures on immigration reform, he needed a diplomatic success at any cost. There’s also been a lot of bellicose rhetoric coming from Iran and it’s allies lately.

Obama has long been hostile towards Israel, and no doubt felt no need to protect Israel’s self-defense needs.

Lesson of the 1938 Münich Pact

In response to increasingly bellicose rhetoric about Czechoslovakia from German Füher Adolf Hitler, the great powers convened in Münich to find a diplomatic solution. Czechoslovakia was invited to early talks, but purposefully not invited to the final negotiations.

It’s obvious that British Chamberlain and the other great powers wanted a deal at any cost. Europe was still mired in the great depression and the memory of World War I deeply scarred the minds of many Europeans. Clearly Chamberlain and the others wanted a diplomatic success to distract attention from economic problems at home.

“If at first you don’t succeed, try, try, try again.” – Neville Chamberlain, 1938

Hitler was all too willing to meet Chamberlain’s political need to agree to anything to “win peace”, and demanded that Czechoslovakia hand over the Sudetenland region to Germany. Not surprisingly Czechoslovakia refused. After the Münich Pact was signed – without Czechoslovakia – Neville Chamberlain bragged how he saved world peace.

The rest is history. Czechoslovakia’s frontier defenses were nearly all located in the Sudetenland, and the Czechs lost their capability to defend against the inevitable German aggression six months later. Germany also occupied Austria and the Ruhr without ever firing a shot.

11 months later Germany invaded Poland, miscalculating that England and France had no stomach for war.

Appeasement by England and France also encouraged Russia to sign a non-aggression pact with Germany, then turn on it’s neighbors Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

The Pretext for Iran Nukes

Iran has always claimed it needs nuclear power for its economy. However, Iran virtually floats on a sea of oil. Moreover, nations can buy nuclear plants and fuel from elsewhere without the need to develop their own nuclear energy technology.

To acquire nuclear power plants, nations must sign and follow the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). Iran signed the NPT before the Ayatollahs came to power, but was caught red handed with a secret Uranium enrichment program in 2003 and remained in constant non-compliance ever since. Russia has sold Iran nuclear plants and fuel despite Iran’s refusal to abide by the NPT.

Nuclear reactors require low enriched Uranium of about 3.5% enrichment. Once Iran achieved the capability for low enriched Uranium, Iran quickly began work on 19.5% highly enriched Uranium, claiming Iran needs medical isotopes. However, medical isotopes are readily available for purchase on world markets, and producing medical isotopes requires technological mastery well beyond the capability of Iran.

There are only two other reasons for a nation to produce highly enriched Uranium:

  • Nuclear weapons.
  • Nuclear powered warships use highly enriched Uranium for more compact nuclear reactors. However, Iran lacks a blue water Navy, and thus doesn’t need nuclear powered ships.

There is just a short step from 19.5% highly enriched Uranium to even more highly enriched Uranium needed to manufacture nuclear weapons, and the same centrifuges that enrich Uranium to 3.5% can be used to make 97% enriched Uranium for nuclear bombs, but it requires large numbers of centrifuges to make enough material for nukes.

The Long Record of Deception for Iran Nukes

Hassan Rouhani iran nukes jew dogs

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani – Deceived West during years of nuclear negotiations

For decades, Iran told the West it wasn’t interested in talks about much of anything.

However, of the past ten years, whenever it appeared Israel or the West was prepared to act militarily to stop Iran’s nuclear program, Iran agreed to talks, then dragged its’feet before talks finally happened, and offered little of substance at the talks, which always ended with no progress. Meanwhile, Iran bought time to push it’s nuclear program forward without fear of a military strike while talks were upcoming or during talks.

Essentially took a page out of North Korea’s playbook. North Korea bought time with talks, and after agreeing to abandon nuclear weapons development in exchange for aid, developed nukes anyway. When North Korea surprised the world with a nuclear detonation, it was already too late: the ‘train had already left the station.’

Recently Hassan Rouhani was elected President of Iran. Rouhani bragged just a few months ago how he deceived the West for years about Iran nukes, as Iran’s chief nuclear negotiator.

The West has long vainly sought “moderates” in the Iranian regime, and liberals were ecstatic when Rouhani was elected, wishfully thinking at long last Iran had finally elected a “moderate.”

However, those who embrace Hassan Rouhani as a “moderate” fail to understand Iran’s system of government. The real power in Iran lies with the Ayatollahs, particularly Supreme Leader Ali Hosseini Khamenei.

Iran’s Council of Guardians has veto power over candidates for public office, and every election vast numbers of candidates are rejected. Only a handful of candidates whose views are close to Khamenei’s are allowed to run. In short, there are NO moderates in Iran’s regime, and any thoughts to the contrary are nothing more than wishful thinking.

This past election cycle, the Council of Guardians rejected the candidacy of former president Rafsanjani, apparently in retaliation for not coming down hard on the Greens during the protests and civil unrest. which made him not extreme enough for Khamenei.

If you think Khamenei is a moderate, then listen to his comments shortly before the Iran nuke appeasement was offered up in Geneva.

“Zionist officials cannot be called humans, they are like animals, some of them. The Israeli regime is doomed to failure and annihilation.”

Khamenei soon followed his speech with this Facebook post and tweet.

Ayatollah Khamenei and Hassan Rouhani and the 12th Imam Cult

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Ali Khamenei iran nukes 12th imam mahdi

Ali Khamenei with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, both members of 12th Imam Cult

Like Ahmadinejad before him Iran’s new president Hassan Rouhani belongs to the 12th Imam Cult. So does Khamenei. Ayatollah Khomeini thought the 12th Imam cult so extreme, even by his standards, that he banned the cult! The Archbishop Cranmer blog aptly describes Rouhani’s 12er views:

“Cleric Hassan Rouhani is a pious man, devoted like all Shias to the Hidden Imam, the Messiah-like figure of Shia Islam. This President, like the previous one, believes that his government must prepare the country for the Imam’s return. All streams of Islam believe in a divine saviour, known as the Mahdi, who will appear at the End of Days in the company of Isa (Jesus). But President/Cleric Rouhani pledged himself with Ayatollah Khamenei decades ago to work for the return of the Mahdi. Indeed, Iran’s military involvement in Syria, Lebanon and Iraq is purposely designed to agitate against Israel to hasten the Last Day. Iran’s dominant ‘Twelver’ sect believes the Mahdi will be Mohammed ibn Hasan, regarded as the 12th Imam and descendant of the Prophet Mohammed.”

Members of the 12th Imam cult believe the Mahdi, or hidden Imam, will return after a period of unprecedented bloodshed and create a worldwide caliphate, and that they can create conditions to bring about the Mahdi’s return.

Fanatics and Nuclear Weapons Don’t Mix!

Guess what fanatics with nuclear weapons can do?

Four nukes is sufficient to destroy tiny Israel. Israel has enough nukes to thoroughly damage Iran, a much larger nation. Many Western leaders who still don’t grasp the apocalyptic views of Iran’s leaders assume Iran would never use nukes or give them to terrorists who would.

However, when you listen to their own rhetoric about annihilating Israel and the constant talk about the Mahdi returning to Earth, the threat of a nuclear armed Iran with apocalyptic leaders must be taken very seriously! Just listen to Ahmadinejad’s speech to the UN.

http://youtu.be/bMLodt_Dfc0

President Rouhani is cut from the same cloth as Khamenei and Ahmadinejad, and none of them are to be trusted with the capability to produce and deliver nuclear weapons!

War is the Failure of Diplomacy

“All war represents a failure of diplomacy.” Tony Denn, British Labour Party politician (source)

The 1938 Münich Pact was an abject failure, and so too will be the Geneva accords. Has the world forgotten North Korea use the same playbook to build nukes after agreeing not to, in exchange for food and energy aid?

The Geneva accords basically recognized Iran’s right to continue it’s nuclear program, and while certain aspects of Iran’s program are temporarily suspended while a permanent agreement is sought, as always verification is very difficult, and Iran has a long history of refusing to cooperate with nuclear inspectors, and hiding nuclear facilities until revealed by Western or Israeli spy agencies, or by Iranian resistance moles inside the regime.

Like the 1938 Münich Pact, the small nation that was ‘thrown under the bus’ was not invited to the talks but expected to abide by an agreement negotiated by others and fiercely resisted. Czechoslovakia wasn’t strong enough to refuse to abide by the Münich Pact, but Israel is quite a different matter.

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has repeatedly warned the world the deal being negotiated was a bad deal. Israel has enough military resources that we can fully expect Israel to strike Iran nuclear facilities, and reports are already rampant that Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states, who rightly fear a nuclear-armed Iran, will work with Israel to make a strike a reality.

Now that diplomacy has so clearly failed, we can expect Israel will waste no more time, and will act, and act decisively. I hope the world is ready for a regional war in the Middle East and South Asia that will make Iraq and Afghanistan look like schoolyard brawl!

Smith, Leach and Finchem form Conservative Team in LD 11

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 21st, 2013

For more information, call Constantin Querard at (480) 703-8145

Smith, Leach and Finchem

form Conservative Team in LD11

~ Goal is to keep all three seats in conservative hands ~

As expected, a conservative team has come together in LD11. The team consists of State Representative Steve Smith, conservative activist Vince Leach, and former fire/police officer Mark Finchem. Smith, a former State Senator himself, is a candidate for the State Senate that Al Melvin is expected to vacate in order to run for Governor. Leach and Finchem are candidates for the two State House seats.

In 2010, Smith shocked the political world by beating longtime incumbent State Senator Rebecca Rios. In 2012, after the Democrats gerrymandered the districts to force him and fellow State Senator Al Melvin into the same district, Smith switched to the State House in order to preserve party unity and to ensure that conservatives would occupy all three legislative seats. His voting record remains one of the most conservative of any Republican and he continues to look after the best interests of Arizona taxpayers.

Leach is a SaddleBrooke resident and citizen activist who has been involved in GOP and Tea Party groups for years. Leach has also been active at the State Capitol, advocating for conservative bills. His existing relationships with legislators will give him a real advantage over other freshmen legislators, and it has already earned him the endorsement of Senator Al Melvin and former legislators Jonathan Paton and John Fillmore.

Finchem spent 21 years in public safety, first as a firefighter paramedic, later as a police officer. He eventually joined the private sector where he climbed the ranks into management of a large software company. Later, Mark made another career move into the real estate market. Finchem lives in Oro Valley and he and his wife are actively involved with a number of Christian faith organizations including Young Life and Family Life Radio.

The team will continue to build on its geographic and financial strength to prevail in both the primary and general elections.

AZGOP: Democrat Ron Barber Confirms His Indecision

But He Later Issues a Correction

PHOENIX – Robert Graham, Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party, was not surprised that Democrat Ron Barber of Arizona’s Congressional District 2 announced today that he changed his mind this week and will be, in fact, running for reelection.

“Today we’re hearing more proof that Ron Barber has a problem making decisions, and that’s bad for the people of his district,” said Robert Graham, Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party. “He shied away from telling voters who he supported for President, he’s painfully ambiguous about Obamacare, and he’s clearly having trouble planning out even just the next few months of his career.”

Fortunately for the people of Arizona’s CD 2, there is a solution to this Democrat’s wavering — in the form of the Republican nominee who will be prepared and ready to represent them in Congress. Whether Barber suffers the wrath of voters incensed with the failures of Obamacare, those frustrated with the stagnating economy, or those fed-up with federal government’s inability to control the porous southern border or their district, it’s clear that the Republican nominee will be a clear favorite in 2014.

Ron Barber Campaign – Worst Rollout Ever!

And we thought the rollout of ObamaCare was bad…

This is probably the worst headline we’ve ever seen for a candidate’s campaign rollout.

Here’s the headline from the Arizona Daily Star:

BarberHeadline

And here’s the accompanying article:

Barber says he’s running in 2014 after hesitation

Congressman Ron Barber says he will run for a second term representing Arizona’s 2nd Congressional District after saying last week that he was still uncertain.

Barber released a statement Wednesday saying he’s been focused on representing his district and not on seeking another term. But Barber says he wants to make it clear he’s running and is “putting everything in place to win.”

Barber told the Arizona Capital Times on Saturday that he needed to speak with his family before making a formal decision on a re-election bid. He has already filed paperwork with federal officials and is raising campaign cash.

Barber is one of three freshmen Arizona Democrats targeted by Republicans next year. His district includes much of Tucson as well as other parts of southeastern Arizona.

Clearly, Congressman Barber is worried about his reelection and has reluctantly agreed to stay in the race.

NRCC Spokesman Daniel Scarpinato commented, “This is not leadership. Congressman Barber had second thoughts about running for reelection because he knows that Southern Arizonans see him as part of the problem in Washington and are upset about his support for ObamaCare. Congressman Barber’s reluctance to stay in this race is just more evidence that Southern Arizonans aren’t getting the representation they deserve.”

New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez Helps Raise Over $50,000 for Arizona Republican Party

PHOENIX – Robert Graham, Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party, and a crowd of supporters welcomed Governor Susana Martinez of New Mexico to a gathering at the home of Lynn and Jack Londen in Phoenix last night. The event raised over $50,000 for the Arizona Republican Party’s campaign for victory in 2014, and showcased one of the nation’s most popular Republican governors.

“We were honored that Governor Martinez accepted our invitation to come and meet us all and speak to those of us who have been watching her lead her state and support our Republican principles at the state level,” said Arizona Republican Party Chairman Robert Graham. “Governor Martinez is not only our nation’s first Latina governor, she’s a rising star in the Republican Party because she’s an effective chief executive, a true conservative, and an inspiring and engaging leader.”

Graham thanked the Chairman’s Circle of the Arizona Republican Party, consisting of a group of business and community leaders who participated in the event, and expressed his gratitude to Lynn and Jack Londen as well as the Host Committee members for supporting the event.

Chairman’s Circle: Jane and Bruce Ash, Lee Benson, Barbara and Jim Chamberlain, Vicki and Jim Click, Beth and Chad Coons, La and John Dawson, Marilyn and Jerry Hayden, Randy and Ken Kendrick, Ed Robson

Page Mayor Bill Diak Endorses Andy Tobin

Another Canyon Community Mayor Endorses Speaker Andy Tobin for Congress

Community was impacted by Grand Canyon closure, calls Tobin the proven performer we need in Congress

Energy and enthusiasm for Andy Tobin’s congressional run continues to build with Page Mayor Bill Diak — another elected official whose community was negatively impacted by the Grand Canyon closure — throwing his support behind Tobin.

Mayor Diak’s endorsement follows one earlier this month from Williams Mayor John Moore. Both communities were deeply affected by the Grand Canyon closure. Mayor Diak’s endorsement comes at the end of a week which also saw the announcement of Tobin’s campaign finance committee, a powerhouse of Arizona conservative community and business leaders who are dedicated to the fight against Washington and ObamaCare.

“Arizonans need a good pair of ears and a voice in Congress,” said Page Mayor Bill Diak. “We need someone who knows and understands the issues affecting rural Arizona. Andy Tobin has been exactly that in the Arizona Legislature. He listens to rural Arizona and knows how to speak for rural Arizona. Andy is the proven performer we need in Congress. I know he will take his record and values to Congress, and that is why I am endorsing Andy Tobin for United States Congress.”

“During the government shutdown and the Grand Canyon closure, I traveled to the Grand Canyon and its surrounding communities to understand impacts of the closure first-hand,” said Tobin. “Mayors like Bill Diak are still trying to figure out how they will rebuild their tourism industries. While Ann Kirkpatrick voted to keep the canyon closed, people like Mayor Diak were fighting for their community’s economic survival. As I travel the district to meet voters, it is becoming clearer with every mile that Arizonans are fed up with Washington.”

ABOUT ANDY TOBIN:

Andy Tobin is a dad, husband and small business owner who has devoted his life to job creation, public service, and advocating for conservative principles. Tobin has built successful careers in the real estate, banking and insurance industries, creating jobs and helping small businesses grow and expand.

Tobin has been elected four times to represent rural Arizona in the Legislature since 2007. As Speaker of the House, he has overseen the largest budget reductions in the history of Arizona and led the fight against ObamaCare in Arizona.

Tobin and his wife Jennifer have five children.

Arizona Republican Party Commemorates 150th Anniversary of Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address

PHOENIX – Robert Graham, Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party, issued the following statement in commemoration of the 150th Anniversary of the Gettysburg Address, a historical speech given by President Abraham Lincoln in 1863 to dedicate the Gettysburg National Cemetery after a brutal battle during the Civil War.

“Lincoln’s speech was brief but profound, and it is a solemn reminder that our nation is constantly being tested.  He reminds us that the first principle of our nation’s founding is the perpetual challenge to increase our freedom.  As the founder of the Republican Party, Abraham Lincoln boldly proclaimed that the work of the nation he presided over was still unfinished.  And while we have made great progress in these 150 years, the unfinished work of expanding our freedom and recognizing our equality with each other still remains.  I implore all Arizonans to join me in our party’s efforts to take up this challenge, to do everything in our power to fight for our liberty and celebrate the principle that all men are created equal.”

Councilman Sal DiCiccio Endorses Representative Michelle Ugenti for Re-Election

Michelle Ugenti

Scottsdale, AZ- Today, Phoenix City Councilman Sal DiCiccio enthusiastically endorsed Republican State Representative Michelle Ugenti (LD-23) for re-election to a third term.

“As one of Arizona’s leading conservative legislators, I am proud to endorse Michelle for re-election,” said Councilman DiCiccio. “She is a strong voice for balancing the state’s budget, lowering taxes, growing Arizona’s economy and reducing the regulatory burden on businesses. Whether she is fighting against the influence public sector unions who want to maintain the status quo in cities across the state or through her successful effort to consolidate candidate elections, Michelle is my pick to represent District 23.”

“It is an honor to receive Councilman DiCiccio’s endorsement,” said Representative Ugenti. “Sal has worked tirelessly to address Phoenix’s fiscal problems, pension abuses and the power of special interests at city hall. He leads by example and I appreciate his support and commitment to the values we share.”

Representative Michelle Ugenti represents Legislative District 23, which includes Scottsdale, Fountain Hills, and Rio Verde. Michelle was first elected to the state legislature in 2010 and was re-elected in 2012. Representative Ugenti is chairman of the Government Committee and is a member of the Appropriations and Joint Legislative Budget Committees. Representative Ugenti currently lives in Scottsdale with her husband Frank and three children.

The Lie that is Michele Reagan

The Lie that is Michele Reagan

Senator Michele Reagan from Legislative District 23 is the most effective traitor to ever serve in the Arizona Legislator.  Michele can currently be found skipping through the state asking you to forgive her, again, for banding with a traitorous group of Republicans and voting, again, with the Democrats, and oh pretty please can you not add her name on that censure. Michele has been a traitor not once not twice but three separate times granting her the distinct status as “the traitor who has survived” and is now so emboldened by her ability to make excuses for rolling the Senate President and bringing Obrewercare to Arizona that she is asking for a promotion! She wants to be the next Secretary of State – yikes!

To prove that good silver-tongued politicians from Chicago are not solely confined to the Democrat party Michele is now running through the legislative district circuit spinning her vote for Obrewercare.  And just in case you want to try and argue her mastery of the “excuse” she delivers by changing her story for different LD’s proving her knack for being consistently inconsistent.

Michele’s LD23 version was reported in the Arizona Freedom Alliance, “I voted yes to be sure it passed and went to the House.  The House is much more conservative than the Senate and I expect them to strip the medicaid expansion out of that bill before sending it back to the Senate” Huh?  AFA calls this a tad convoluted and speculates that she was attempting to help secure a 2/3 majority.  But Michele is already spinning on over to LD18 with the line that it was a calculated parliamentarian move so she could make a motion to reconsider but the Governor messed it all up with the Special Session … O.K?  One itty bitty detail Michele, the motion to reconsider needs to be made before it leaves the body, so why didn’t you make the motion?

The validity of the excuse is tainted because not once, not twice, but THREE times Michele sided with a small drove of Republicans, and 100% of the Democrat caucus, in a hostile act against the Republican principle of limited government.

In May of 2004 Michele voted “YEA” with 14 Republicans for Democrat Janet Napolitano’s budget to raise the state budget more than a billion dollars. The Senate President at the time stated “The liberals defied every principle of the Republican Party. We had commitments, but this was betrayed by dishonest people. They worked behind the scenes with the governor.”

No Republican that voted for the 2004 budget is currently serving in an elected office except for Michele Reagan.

In 2008 Michele willingly joined three Republicans, 100% of the Democrats and Governor Napolitano to deliver another deficit producing budget HB2209 by a 31 yes to 29 no vote.

No Republican that voted for the 2008 budget is currently serving in an elected office except for Michele Reagan.

So this May Michele, again, joins 5 Republicans and votes ‘YEA’ for Obrewercare, SB1492,  in the middle of the night after Senator McComish made a motion to suspend the rules to stop Senate President Andy Biggs from trying to save Arizona from the train-wreck that is Obamacare.

It is crystal clear – Michele voted for Obrewercare. Michele attended meetings where they plotted how they would force this down our throats.  Michele attended the pizza party the Governor threw on the 9th floor during a break.  And now Michele is again making excuses.

Just in case you want to fall for dear old Michele’s spell that convinces folks that RINO horn is really an elephant trunk then remember in April 2006 she voted, again, with 100% of the Democrat caucus and with 2 Republicans ‘NAY’ against HB 2666 – Notarized Parental Consent for Abortions. Nothing Republican there.  Then in 2009 she sponsors bill HB2544 to teach sex education in the Kindergarten classroom.  Nothing Republican there.

Michele with full purpose and intent has cast herself into the role of traitor.  Whatever character flaw you want to contribute to an elected official who will intentionally vote against the Senate President, the Speaker of the House, their own caucus and the wishes of the Precinct committeemen who walked for them, made phone calls for them, and who gave them money and then passed a resolution taking an unequivocal stand you cannot excuse this knife in all these backs.

It is time for all Republicans take a stand and hold those we elect accountable for their votes.

Come on Republicans. Censure Michele Reagan and do not give her the opportunity to stab our Republicans in the back again.

Nancy Pelosi Says… Kyrsten Sinema is ‘Standing Tall’ With ObamaCare

Nancy Pelosi’s “Meet the Press” Appearance this Weekend Sparks New Round of ObamaCare Questions for House Democrats

WASHINGTON – On this week’s “Meet the Press,” Nancy Pelosi proudly stated that Democrats are going to continue backing ObamaCare and its failed policies. She proclaimed that “Democrats stand tall in support of the Affordable Care Act,” and it’s time for Arizona families to know: does Kyrsten Sinema ‘stand tall’ with President Obama and his botched health care law?

Sinema has been an ObamaCare supporter through and through, and has repeatedly ensured that the billion dollar health care law remains the law of the land. Arizona families are fed up with their canceled policies, skyrocketing premiums and unaffordable access to health care. It’s time for Kyrsten Sinema to fess up – is she going to ‘stand tall’ with the law heading into the 2014 elections?

“Kyrsten Sinema has been an ObamaCare advocate throughout the botched rollout, and now Nancy Pelosi admits she will be ‘standing tall’ in continued support of the failing law,” said NRCC Communications Director Andrea Bozek. “Thousands are suffering thanks to Sinema’s ObamaCare support, and her continued allegiance to President Obama and the failing health care law is hurting Arizona families.”
