Andrew Thomas: Another Amnesty in the Works

When a bipartisan group of U.S. Senators announced plans in January 2013 to push new immigration legislation, Americans learned that the leaders behind this latest effort to deal with the nation’s broken borders would cross the political aisle. But it did not take long for them to realize that bipartisanship came at a price: amnesty for all illegal immigrants.
Coming together for this purpose was the so-called Gang of Eight. The members of the group were Democratic Senators Michael Bennet of Colorado, Richard Durbin of Illinois, Robert Menendez of New Jersey, and Charles Schumer of New York, and Republican Senators Jeff Flake of Arizona, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, John McCain of Arizona, and Marco Rubio of Florida. Their proposal was the most ambitious immigration package since the 1986 reforms known as the Immigration Reform and Control Act(or Simpson-Mazzoli Act).

The Gang of Eight’s proposal would allow the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants in America to remain without fear of deportation. They would be required to register with the federal government and pay a fine and then would receive “probationary legal status.” This would allow them to remain in the country and work.

    Yup. Another amnesty is in the works. If you, Andrew, hadn’t been such an idiot, and gotten disbarred by filing ridiculous charges against judges, maybe you could have helped. If you would have gone after all the below 21 asu students with fake id’s and charged them with identity theft, like you do with mexicans, we would have taken you seriously. At best, you are a delusional wannabe, and if I were Sonoran Alliance, I wouldn’t allow you to post here.

    You, Andrew Thomas, represent what is absolutely the worst in America. You used your position to drum up racial hatred, in the hopes that it would get you elected to a higher station (governor). Your ploy failed. I could get into the minute details of what you did, but I won’t. Leave this forum, and dont come back. We dont want you here. We want real conservatives with real ideas that include every Arizona citizen. Republican or Democrat, we do not tolerate racial hatred. We judge individuals as individuals. You broke that compact. You are a bigot of the worse sort. I will not tolerate having you near my neighborhood… Has someone put an ankle brace on you, so that I can monitor your whereabouts?

    I forgot to add that it is reprehensible that we don;t have a U.S. Attorney with balls that would bring charges against Andrew Thomas. I’m sure there’s a lot of stuff to find, if one looks carefully at what he did. Just printing his name and posting his pictures on anti-drug flyers ought to be enough — he was using federal anti-drug money to promote himself, for his re-election bid. But, nobody bothers to enforce the laws on white boys…..

    Bill Shine (as you identified yourself as in an earlier comment), why don’t you reveal the real reason you don’t like Thomas? You were arrested for a DUI while Thomas was the County Attorney. Why don’t you just stop drinking and driving?
