PHOENIX — Legislative District 17 Representative and in-coming Speaker Pro Tempore J.D. Mesnard has endorsed Robert Graham for Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party. Mesnard, who is the current Chairman of the House Commerce Committee and was named “Representative of the Year” by business leaders for his 2012 job-creation legislation, stated his support of Graham is because of his business background, conservative principles and grassroots experience.

“Arizona Republicans owe Robert a debt of gratitude for leading the financial fight against special interest-driven ballot measures like Propositions 204 and 121,” said Mesnard. “He helped to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars in those efforts, without which Republicans may not have defeated the biggest proposed tax increase in state history.
