Arizona Petitions White House to Secede from United States

Yes, just like in 47 other states, there is a movement afoot by Arizonans to secede from the United States.

Here is a screenshot of the website that currently shows the signatures of 20,487 Arizonans who want out of Obama’s America.

For the White House to take the petition seriously, it has to acquire the signatures of 25,000 Arizonans by December 10th. Given the rate the petition is being signed, it will likely make that threshold this week.

You too can sign the petition by clicking on this link.

Silly, serious or sophisticated? You can also leave your comments here.

Don’t like the US? Don’t let the door smack your butt on the way out.

    • @Sonoransam, sounds like you’ve been to Big Rock Candy Mountain. This election the voters chose free stuff over freedom… and, they’ll learn soon enough there is no free lunch.

  2. Sam, we love the USA, its Obama and his minions who hate this Country. We will secede, succeedd, and live by the founders Constitution that was written and this administration has trashed.

    • Bye.

But, considering your “new” country will not the founded by the founders of the United States, you get to create your own constitution. That should be interesting.

And, given your group of actual Arizonan’s who’ve signed equals less than 1% of the state’s population, how about the 99% who believe in the United States and respect what millions of our fellow countrymen and women, both before us and today, have died for and fight for today, stay here and decide what 1% of the state you guys get?

  3. You can’t tell me you love America and then ask to secede from it. Rather than make positive changes from within, these people want to quit on their country. That is so stupid. Are they really saying, “I don’t want this President for 4 more years, so let’s take our ball and go home permanently.”

They sound like a bunch of teenage girls who saw the boy they liked kissing someone else; so they run home and scream, “I just wanna die!”

I heard this morning all 50 states have filed petitions. What they should do, if granted, is break off and reform into another United States as originally intended by our Founding Fathers. Too many liberal ideals have infiltrated and successfully implanted into our government since around FDR with more and more only rooting in and being accepted.

    • “I heard this morning all 50 states have filed petitions.”

      You heard wrong.

No State has filed a petition. Individual people from within each of the 50 states have created petitions (well, mostly copied from another petition). These are NOT official, legal forms and are not supported by ANY State government…Heck, both Rick Parry and Jan Brewer have said they don’t support them.

If you take the AZ petition alone, there’s a total of 21,000 signatures. Take out of the 50% of those who signed who are NOT from Arizona or didn’t list their state and we’re looking at 11,000 signatures.
Arizona has a population of 6,500,000. That’s .17% of Arizonan’s. Less than 1% of the population of the state are going to decide it’s future?

  5. “… that currently shows the signatures of 20,487 Arizonans who want out of Obama’s America.”

Really? Clicking the graphic takes us to the lead page for the petition….let’s take a look at those 20,487 signatures…

    Lynn C No state noted
    Stephen M New Jersey
    Ralph T Austin, TX
    Denise C No state noted
    Benajamin H No state noted
    Chris A Palm Beach, FL
    Catelin o No state noted
    Cristian J Denver, CO
    Robert R Roseville, CA
    David G Halethorpe, MD

Well, you get the drift. At 10:37 AM today, of the first 52 signatures, 11 do not list a state, 17 list a state OTHER than Arizona and 24 are from Arizona. Less than 50% of 52 signatures are listed as from Arizona. And that’s just the first 52 names.
I don’t have an exact figure, but as I’ve looked at this thing on and off over the last couple days, I don’t think I’d be far off to say that nearly 50% of the signatures are from people who are NOT from Arizona.

Sorry, but that does not equate to 20,487 Arizonans.

Imperfect as we are, we’re still the best nation on Earth! No thanks. Keep the U.S. together. Obama won’t be president forever and four years from now we will elect a good Republican, and then the hard job of cleaning up Obama’s mess will begin.

  7. Sam Houston says:

What is there that is free that we have not? Are our rights invaded and no Government ready to protect them? No! Are our institutions wrested from us and others foreign to our taste forced upon us? No! Is the right of free speech, a free press, or free suffrage taken from us? No! Has our property been taken from us and the Government failed to interpose when called upon? No, none of these! The rights of the States and the rights of individuals are still maintained. We have yet the Constitution, we have yet a judiciary, which has never been appealed to in vain—we have yet just laws and officers to administer them; and an army and navy, ready to maintain any and every constitutional right of the citizen. Whence then this clamor about disunion? Whence this cry of protection to property or disunion, when even the very loudest in the cry, declared under their Senatorial oaths, but a few months since, that no protection was necessary? Are we to sell reality for a phantom?

Wow. Pardon me for just making a statement of what I heard this morning. I heard all 50 states had petitions filed. Again, pardon me for saying, “states have filed petitions.” I wasn’t meaning a state dept. Only that it was a state.

I love my country. I was making a comment and didn’t state that I supported or didn’t support secession. But maybe for you angry people out there, before my comment, I should’ve said: “FOR IT TO BE INTERESTING, they should do, if granted…”

    You really pick things apart!

  9. “Asking” to secede. Good one.

  10. This whole thing is silly. As Jeff pointed out, half of the signatures are from people from other states, apparently asking Obama to let Arizona leave. LOL. The bottom line is that 25,000 signatures gets the petition to the “next level”, which is “a response”.

I wonder what the response will be? My guess is that it will be something like “There you southerners go, whistling Dixie again…”

  11. None of the signers have any guts. If they did, they would emigrate to a country more to their liking, but they don’t have the courage to follow their convictions.

  12. Is Gramsci’s Theory for Overthrowing America Being Realized?

Written on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 by David L. Goetsch (patriotupdate.com)

In view of Barack Obama’s re-election, consider the following quote from Stanislav Mishin, writing in PRAVDA—the state newspaper of Russia: “It must be said that, like the breaking of a great dam, the American descent into Marxism is happening with breathtaking speed, against the backdrop of a passive, hapless sheeple—excuse me dear reader—I meant people.” Is it possible that outsiders who are steeped in what Marxism really looks like can see what Americans cannot?

Most Americans have heard of Karl Marx and his plan for overthrowing democratic governments through armed revolts of the workers. But few Americans have heard of Antonio Gramsci. This is too bad because Gramsci is the communist philosopher who developed a theory specifically for overthrowing America. Gramsci thought that overthrowing the United States through an armed revolt of indigenous workers was unrealistic. He theorized that a better approach would be to undermine the culture and morality of America so that our country would destroy itself from within.

His plan was for intellectual elites to take control of colleges, universities, public schools, and the government and to use their control to destroy the America of our Founders in the name of progressivism. Sound familiar? Gramsci called his theory “cultural hegemony.” As I consider the re-election of Barack Obama and think about the cultural and moral changes that have occurred in America in just the short span of my lifetime, I have to wonder if we are seeing the realization of Gramsci’s theory. This column explains just a few of the main tenets of his theory.

Gramsci admonished college professors and the leftwing media to refer to communist dictators as “Chairmen,” “Leaders,” and “Presidents,” but never as “dictators.” This type of rhetorical misdirection would soften the views of the public at large to communist leaders. The communist tyrant, Mao, was always referred to in the media and by leftwing professors as “Chairman Mao.” Castro is still referred to as “Premier” or “political leader,” but never as “communist dictator.” Even Joseph Stalin, a dictator who exterminated 30 million of his own people, was referred to fondly as “Uncle Joe” or respectfully as “Premier.”

Another tenet of Gramsci’s theory was gradualism. He knew how Americans would react to armed insurrection by indigenous workers or anyone else. Consequently, Gramsci recommended a slow transition first to socialism and then to communism. The transition to socialism would be done under the guise of saving jobs during times of economic recession. The government would take control of businesses or even whole business sectors to rescue them from bankruptcy. Sound familiar?

Another of Gramsci’s strategies was to promote the United Nations as the best hope for world peace and a one-world government. Once the United Nations was firmly established, the nest step would be to ensure control of the body by communist nations and their surrogates. This meant getting communist China established in a seat on the United Nations Security Council and giving voice to all of the smaller nations around the world that are either controlled or heavily influenced by communist nations such as China. Again this should sound familiar.

Marx missed the boat concerning how to overthrow America, but Gramsci appears to have hit the mark. Well before Barack Obama was elected the first time, America was well down the road in implementing the various tenets of Gramsci’s theory. But under the Obama administration the process has speeded up.

I’m not too old (36) but I knew it! Why people are so blind and can’t see what’s been happening is way beyond me! I’m glad Gramsci’s Theory was posted along with that Russian article.
