AAPS Endorse Antenori LD10 Senate Race

AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF PHYSICIANS & SURGEONS, AAPS,
ENDORSE ANTENORI’S STATE SENATE RACE
Arizona State Senator Frank Antenori has been endorsed by the American Association of Physicians and Surgeonsbecause of his steadfast support of medical freedom for patients.Citing his 12 years of experience as a paramedic and his background as a Green Beret, AAPS said that Antenori is “uniquely qualified” to protect medical patients from the hardball tactics of special interests AAPS also said that it is “crucial” that Antenori is re-elected.

Antenori is one of a few state legislators brave enough to stand up to the special interests pushing our Governor to implement a health insurance exchange in Arizona.

A health insurance exchange, part of “Obamacare”, is a state-regulated and standardized health care plan, from which individuals may purchase health insurance eligible for federal subsidies.

AAPS member, and Tucson Physician, Elizabeth Lee Vliet, MD said these state and federal insurance exchanges, such as the one being pushed in Arizona, “exchange liberty for more government control over patients and their doctors, and patients lose their medical freedom.”

In addition to this endorsement, AAPS has contributed to the Antenori campaign, and urges others to do so, saying “for medical freedom to survive against the special interests, it is crucial for patients and physicians in Arizona that Senator Antenori is reelected.”

Founded in 1943, the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons – AAPS – is a non-partisan professional association of physicians in all types of practices and specialties across the country.

For nearly 70 years AAPS has been dedicated to the highest ethical standards of the Oath of Hippocrates and to preserving the sanctity of the patient-physician relationship and the practice of private medicine.

The AAPS motto, “omnia pro aegroto” means “all for the patient.”
