Group Spending Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars Distorting Jeff Flake’s Strong Record of Supporting Veterans
PHOENIX – While VoteVets.org claims to be dedicated to ensuring that “troops abroad have what they need to complete their missions, and receive the care they deserve when they get home,” their true purpose is to run attack ads against Republicans.
In 2006, after VoteVets ran a false ad lying about Senator Jon Kyl’s record, the Arizona Republic said this: “The group (VoteVets.org) can be just as unfair as it wants to be. And with this deceitful, brutal ad, the group strains the limits of even that generous standard.”
Now VoteVets has turned their sights on Jeff Flake. Despite the fact that Flake has a strong record of supporting veterans, they group continues to run an ad cherry picking and distorting Flake’s record.
For instance, while the group slams Flake for voting against the Post 9/11 G.I. Bill, it neglects to mention that Flakesupports the benefit created by the bill but objected to using a veterans bill to pass extraneous spending, like funding for the Department of Agriculture and the National Science Foundation.
“These ads are baloney,” said Senator John McCain, a former prisoner of war and chairman of Veterans for Jeff Flake. “Jeff Flake has a strong record of supporting our veterans, and veterans can be assured that Jeff will continue to fight for them in the Senate.”

ROFL! Let’s set the record straight regarding Flake and veterans!
The above propaganda piece states, “Flake supports the benefit created by the bill”, speaking about the New GI Bill which extends GI Bill benefits to veterans of the war for which Flake voted. The simple fact of the matter is that Jeff Flake voted AGAINST the New GI Bill! So what kind of political double talk is Flake trying to pull off?
Flake is on record as having voted against the New GI Bill but is telling us that he supports the benefits of the bill he voted against! Do you REALLY think that veterans and voters are SO stupid and gullible that they are going to be suckered in by nonsense like that! Get real! We didn’t just fall off a hay wagon, LOL!
Jeff Flake, however, is VERY generous when it comes to benefits for illegal aliens! Here is how Arne Duncan, Obama’s Education Secretary, describes the benefits of the DREAM Act:
“It also goes against our national interest to deny these young students a college education. By creating opportunities for these bright, talented youth to attend college, they will contribute much, much more than they ever could as struggling workers moving from one under-the-table job to another. With a college education, they can fill important jobs in fields facing critical shortages, such as engineers, nurses, and teachers. Today, even in tough economic times, our country has 3 million unfilled jobs. By 2018, we’ll need to fill 2.6 million job openings in the fields of science, technology, and engineering, and mathematics. The students who will benefit from the DREAM Act can absolutely help fill those jobs.”
“By working in these fields, they will contribute to our country’s economic growth. With a bachelor’s degree, their earnings will be up to 80 percent higher than if their education ends in high school. With those extra earnings, they will purchase homes, cars, and other goods to drive economic growth. According to a 2010 study from the University of California, Los Angeles, those who would benefit from the DREAM Act could generate between $1.4 trillion and $3.6 trillion of income over their careers.”

So, what does the DREAM Act have to do with Jeff Flake?
Flake co-authored, along with “progressive” Chicago Democrat Congressman Luis Gutierrez, the STRIVE Act. Hidden within Flake’s STRIVE Act, word for word, was Harry Reid’s DREAM Act!
So Flake voted AGAINST the New GI Bill, seeking to deny educational benefits to veterans, but sought to get the DREAM Act passed by Congress, the DREAM Act which provides all of the above benefits, described by Arne Duncan, for illegal aliens!
No matter how the Flake campaign tries to spin it, the facts are that Flake voted AGAINST the New GI Bill and tried to get his STRIVE Act illegal alien amnesty legislation, with the DREAM Act hidden in it, passed by Congress in order to provide benefits for illegal aliens!
In fact, here’s a video of Flake trying to defend his STRIVE Act illegal alien amnesty legislation to Lou Dobbs and Republican Congressman Brian Bilbray:

Gee, Jeff! Doesn’t look like Lou Dobbs and Republican Congressman Bilbray are buying your double talk either!
The person posting as ‘conservative american’ is a fake, fraud, and a Democrat plant.
…….said the illegal alien troll.
I am no more an illegal alien than you are a giraffe.
But you are the patsy of a Democrat mole and now apparently a willing one.
The person posting as ‘conservative american’ is a fraud, a liar, and a Democrat mole. What he is doing now was part of his objective.
ROFL!!!!
So I’m a Democrat mole and zoo is a patsy but you are not an illegal alien, LOL!
Hey, Pascoe, how do you like it that JEFF FLAKE voted AGAINST an extension of the GI Bill for the troops he voted to send to war but crafted and promoted legislation to provide benefits to illegal aliens? You like that? That would make YOU the fraud, liar and a Democrat mole, LOL!
Is JEFF FLAKE your Daddy? Won’t he admit that he’s your father? Is that what you’ve got your panties in knot about?
Have a nice day, Illegal Alien!
Didn’t he play lead chimichanga in “Pascoe Flake & The Invasionettes?”
Yeah, zoo, but in the credits on their DVD he’s listed as “Pascoe Valenzuela”! Shortened his name after he sneaked across the border!
Now let’s compare the military service record of Dr. Richard Carmona with that of Jeff Flake!
Dr. Carmona enlisted in the Army, joined the Army’s Special Forces, served in combat and was award two Bronze Stars and two Purple Hearts.
Jeff Flake never served in the military.
Dr. Carmona IS a veteran, a combat veteran. Jeff Flake is NOT a veteran. Duh!
Dr. Rchard Carmona’s heroism didn’t stop on the battlefield with two Bronze Stars and two Purple Hearts. Despite the ads from the Flake campaign, with Cristina Beato claiming that Dr. Carmona has a “problem” with women, Dr. Carmona almost lost his own life while saving the lives of at least two women on the streets of Tucson!
“In 1999, he happened to be driving by an accident scene in Tucson while in plain clothes and saw an enraged driver attacking a woman; when he stopped to help, the driver shot at Dr. Carmona, who was grazed in the scalp and then shot and killed the driver.”
http://www.puertorico-herald.org/issues/2002/vol6n13/Carmona-en.html
“1999: shot and mortally wounded a deranged murderer”
“One fall day in 1999, on a busy street in Tucson, Arizona, Dr. Richard Carmona shot and mortally wounded Jean Lafitte, a mentally disturbed man who had just stabbed his own father to death.”
“Carmona, a Tucson trauma M.D., had been on his way to a football game when he stopped to deliver first aid at what appeared to be a traffic accident. When he got closer to the scene, bystanders told him Lafitte was armed. Carmona returned to his car, retrieved his Pima County Sheriff Deputy badge and gun, identified himself repeatedly and warned Lafitte to drop his weapon, news accounts say. Instead, the gunman blasted away at Carmona–one bullet grazed Carmona’s head. Carmona returned fire, mortally wounding Lafitte. Next, he triaged the wounded man. And later, he was credited with saving the lives of bystanders and Lafitte’s girlfriend, whom Lafitte was going to kill next.”

“Lafitte was arrested 13 times between March 1991 and November 1992 for charges including kidnapping, sexual assault, aggravated assault, domestic violence and using the telephone to threaten or intimidate, court records show.”
“In 1992, he was convicted of aggravated assault for trying to strangle his girlfriend as she testified against him in a Superior Court preliminary hearing on accusations that he had committed domestic violence against her in an earlier incident, said O’Connor.”
“Lafitte, who was handcuffed, jumped up as the woman was in the witness box and wrapped his handcuff chain around her neck, O’Connor said. She was injured, but recovered.”
“Lafitte served five years in prison on that conviction and was released Oct. 12, 1995″.

So this guy was attacking a woman and planned to kill his own girlfriend. He had already killed his father earlier that day. Dr. Carmona didn’t just ignore what appeared to be a car accident. He stopped to help and then realized what was going on. When the bad guy fired on Carmona, grazing Carmona’s head, Dr. Carmona returned fire, putting a definitive end to the threat.
How many of you women out there would object to Dr. Carmona showing up on the scene if your life were being threatened by an armed criminal and known murderer? Would you send him away, saying that, “Cristina Beato says that you have a problem with women!” I think not!
In this day and age, when it seems that women have to fend for themselves, it’s nice to know that there are men out there like Dr. Richard Carmona who won’t simply walk on by! Dr. Carmona ALMOST took one in the head to save those women. He’s a hero, not someone who has a “problem” with women!
McFlake’s admiration for the American military only extends to making it a social engineering experiment for his alternative interests. That is why McFlake voted to homosexualize the American military, in spite of the destructive impact on their character and effectiveness. Mcflake voted to force military commanders to allow “gay” flaunting on their bases, and to allow “gay” personnel to march in “Gay” Pride parades in uniform, in violation of the UCMC. McFlake voted to force American military commanders to have “gay marriages” on their bases. He voted to force American military chaplains to allow and participate in these “gay” farces. He voted to force American military chaplains out of the military if they refuse to violate the tenets of their religious beliefs and refuse to go along with his “gay” agenda. He voted to force the military prosecution of American soldiers who refuse to violate their religious beliefs and their allegiance to the security of our country by blindly accepting McFlake’s “gay” insanity.
That is McFlake’s Military Model.
And let’s not forget the disputed military history of Juan “I’m a POW” McNasty. Many POW veterans returned from Vietnam describing how they, while being beaten and tortured, were forced to listen to brainwashing tapes made by McNasty for the NVA. After the American surrender, Congress put together a 2-man special commission to investigate the status of POW’s in Vietnam. The commission was Juan “IAP” McNasty and John F’ing Kerry (who served in Viet Nam). [I’m sure you remember John F’ing Kerry as the Naval Reserve officer who wounded his own escape from duty in Vietnam and then reportedly met in Paris with NVA to strategize an American defeat, and is now enshrined as a Friend of the Victory in the Vietnamese War Museum] This commission studied and studied, and reported that there was “no credible evidence” that there were any POW’s in Vietnam – and this was AFTER the new Vietnamese gov’t had tried to ransom back our remaining POW’s for $1.5 Billion. “No credible evidence??”
And then, as CA has described, McNasty attacks the female relatives of POW/MIA’s for seeking answers from his congressional committee.
The American military, and US, deserve better.
God bless America.
For those who may not have seen it, this is what Leo is making reference to regarding John McCain and the relatives of POW/MIA’s:
“In Anger, John McCain Berates Woman Representing POW Families”
“By Oliver Willis”
“McCain’s detractors say it’s absolutely fair to raise questions about McCain’s explosiveness while he’s running for the presidency.”
“I wouldn’t think that he should be president. He’s very hot tempered,” said Dolores Alfond, chairperson for the National Alliance of Families for the Return of America’s Missing Servicemen and Women.”
“Alfond, the sister of an Air Force Academy graduate missing in Vietnam since 1967, recalls the rough treatment she received from McCain in 1992 during her appearance at a hearing of the Senate Select Committee on POW-MIA Affairs.”
“She eventually was driven to tears by McCain during the hearing.”
“McCain repeatedly interrupts her during her testimony, berates her and then suddenly storms out of the proceedings.”
“He just didn’t want to listen. He continued to ask me questions, but he wouldn’t listen to my answers,” said Alfond in a telephone interview from her home in Seattle. “And he kept slamming things around. He brought me to tears because he wouldn’t listen.”
“To this day, Alfond said she doesn’t understand why McCain’s anger seemed so personal toward her.”

So if this doesn’t make John McCain ineligible to be a Republican presidential candidate and U. S. Senator from Arizona, then what’s all the garbage about Dr. Richard Carmona and HIS alleged “anger” problem and “problem” with women? What’s good for the goose is good for the gander!
