Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery Endorses Jeff Flake for Senate

“Flake understands the consequences of federal inaction and what law enforcement needs to do to deal to with it.”

PHOENIX – Jeff Flake, a conservative candidate for the United States Senate, today announced the endorsement of Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery.

“Maricopa County, like other counties, is paying a high price for the federal government’s failure to secure the border and to stem the flow of violent crime and illegal drugs into this country,” said Montgomery. “Jeff Flake understands the consequences of federal inaction and what law enforcement needs to do to deal to with it. I support Jeff Flake for U.S. Senate because he will fight to hold the federal government accountable for its responsibilities and see that law enforcement in Maricopa County — and across Arizona — has the tools it needs to protect its residents.”

“Bill Montgomery is a stalwart against the many challenges we face and is highly respected in our community as a result,” said Flake. “I am honored to receive his endorsement and will value his counsel in holding the federal Government to account for the safety of Arizona’s citizens.”

First the Arizona Right to Life endorsement, now this. Not the best week for Wil Cardon

  2. Montgomery is a rising star in Arizona. Hopefully he’ll be our next Attorney General. Go Bill!

  3. Sgt. Flapjaw says:

I have been a big supporter of Bill Montgomery this entire election season, and have in fact worked for his campaign. I must take a step back now and reassess my views. Arizona does not need yet another Senator who is just a political animal who cares much more for their own career than the constituency. Jeff Flake is such a man and it should be easy for Montgomery to see.
We do not need another spotlight seeking attention craving phoney like McCain.

Bill is a great guy and this is a big pick up for Flake. Bill must be interested in people who are concerned with facts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fK0cd3Bk4jA
“I don’t believe in self funding candidates.” Wil Cardon

    • suzannec says:

Fact, Jeff Flake co-wrote the Strive Act, and if you do not know what that is, it is AMNESTY in the house. Bill Montgomery must tell us why he would so something like that. Jeff Flake also wrote his own Cap and Trade legislation, that is why he did not show up for the vote in Congress in 2009 using the excuse his daughter’s beauty contest.

Flake is a McSlime politician with McSlime shenanigans.

    • suzannec says:

Gilbert guy, that link just shows how Obama like Flake is, he is running a class envy add. Hey all look at the link it makes comments on how wealthy Cardin is. SO WHAT, again, Flake is showing his true colors, he is using the Democrat ploy of who has what money.

  5. We are very lucky to have Bill Montgomery. He really gets it. His endorsement is huge for Jeff Flake.

Democrats are out touting a bogus poll this morning saying that Obama and Carmona can win Arizona. BS. Flake will be our next Senator and Romney our next President

  6. Well, so much for Montgomery. Flake is one of the most despised invasion-sucking RINOs in the state and has been for years. Since Montgomery attended law school here, he know’s that. It isn’t too early to be looking for Montgomery’s replacement now.

    • Mesa Constitutional Conservative says:

When a totally racist DB like “Zoo” is against Flake and Montgomery, that means Flake and Montgomery are probably good, decent men we should be voting for.

  7. Great news! Both Flake and Montgomery are men of principle. Wouldn’t mind if Montgomery joined Flake in the Senate one day.

  8. LEO IN TSN says:

What a terrible slap in the face to all of the principled Arizonans who have supported Bill Montgomery in his campaigns. It is true that he lay dormant since his election, but this is a true “knife in the back” to all the conservatives who thought they were really supporting a law & order candidate. He has finally awakened to molt the conservative pseudo-skin, and now appears as the pro-amnesty liberal that he must really be.

McFlake wants to amnesty 40-50 million illegal aliens, including criminals and terrorists. He wants to increase the size of all governments to take care of his new friends. He will support them in their “reconquista” and fund his support with tax-payer money. He wants to cripple America with cap & tax, and increase the size of government to enforce it. He wants to destroy traditional marriage, and increase the size of government to carry out that destruction. He wants to destroy the American military, and will increase the size of the military judiciary to accomplish that. All of his goals require more and more tax dollars, which are not there yet. That means higher taxes, more deficit spending, more slavery for our kids and grandkids.

This is what Montgomery now endorses.

Time to look for a real County Attorney for Maricopa. Let Mr. Montgomery accompany McFlake on his desert isle photo shoots, and stop compromising the safety and security of US. Bye-bye Bill and Jeffie.

    God bless America.

  9. conservative02 says:

If you have a family member who was killed in Iraq (like I do) you may understand why America cannot afford to send a spineless phony like Jeff Flake back to Washington. He wastes his time playing “survivor man” while soldiers die in wars he supports and continues to fund.

Flake is the worst kind of career politician. He has never had a real job. I have my problems with Cardon too but anything is better than Flake.

Just say NO to Jeff Flake. Cuz friends don’t let friends vote for pro-amnesty, flip-flopping, Democrat-lite RINOs.

    • Mesa Constitutional Conservative says:

Jeff Flake is consistently rated one of the most conservative, consistent, Republicans in government. Just because he isn’t a xenophobic idiot with his hair on fire about immigration like you and the rest of your ilk doesn’t make him a “RINO”. In fact, your criticism of him sort of makes you one.

  10. Scratching Montogomery off my list.

  11. Jeff Flake is not a conservative: please explain how his vote on H. R. 3523 is conservative. Oh by the way the only reason Flake rates high as a conservative is because the ones doing the rating consider illegal immigration a SOCIAL ISSUE – not a FISCAL ONE. Perhaps you should try doing some research before passing yourself off as a Conservative ye all let alone a Constitutionalist.

Reagan said “Politics is supposed to be the second oldest profession. I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first.” Montgomery just sold his soul to the devil; the GOP McCain got to him, bought his Flake endorsement lock stock and barrel – the price – McCain’s seat in 2016.

    VAN US SENATE 2012

  12. Very disappointed.

Please read and review Congressman Flake’s legislation, HR5381: http://patriothq.com/2012/05/31/jeff-flake-h-r-5381-cleer-act-constitutional-legislation-to-eliminate-egregious-regulations

    Also, did you know this:

ON MAY 10TH, FLAKE VOTED ‘AGAINST’ THE CONGRESSIONAL BILL PASSED ON MAY 10TH TO DEFUND THE DOJ FROM FURTHER LITIGATION/FILING LAWSUITS AGAINST STATES WHICH HAVE PASSED, AND ARE IN PROCESS OF PASSING THEIR OWN IMMIGRATION LAWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CHECK OUT (HR 5326: http://www.govtrack.us/congress/votes/112-2012/h249 Scroll down to Arizona, FLAKE VOTED ‘NAY’!!!! )

AZ Congressman Jeff Flake campaigns upon his fiscal conservative values, let’s review the latest:

Volcabulary review of the term, “Fiscal conservatism” is a political term used to describe a fiscal policy that advocates avoiding deficit spending. Fiscal conservatives often consider reduction of overall government spending and national debt as well as ensuring balanced budget of paramount importance. Free trade, deregulation of the economy, lower taxes, and other conservative policies are also often but not necessarily affiliated with fiscal conservatism.

Now, let’s review based upon the definition of a ‘fiscal conservative’, whether Congressman Flake’s vote against defunding the Dept. of Justice’s access to U.S. taxpayer money to be used to continue to file lawsuits against state’s which have passed, and are in the process of passing their own immigration laws falls within the definition of ‘fiscal conservative’.

Our nation is over $ 15 trillion in debt. (http://www.usdebtclock.org/)

    1. Did Congressman Flake’s vote AGAINST defunding the Dept. of Justice’s lawsuits decrease government spending? Ans. NO!

    2. Did Congressman Flake’s vote AGAINST defunding the Dept. of Justice’s lawsuits reduce our National debt? Ans. NO!

    3. Did Congressman Flake’s vote AGAINST defunding the Dept. of Justice’s lawsuits decrease our Nation’s deficit spending? Ans. NO!

    4. Did Congressman Flake’s vote AGAINST defunding the Dept. of Justice’s lawsuits lower taxes? Ans. NO!

    5. Did Congressman Flake’s vote AGAINST defunding the Dept. of Justice’s lawsuits benefit our nation fiscally in any way? Ans. NO!

    6. Did Congressman Flake’s vote AGAINST defunding the Dept. of Justice’s lawsuits have the slightest positive fiscal impact of ensuring a balanced budget? Ans. NO!

Immigration aside, which we already know Congressman Flake’s grade average on the majority of National Immigration organization websites typically runs at a D -, so I simply decided to focus merely on Congressman Flake’s ‘fiscal conservative values’ on his vote against HR 5326.

Congressman Flake’s overall ‘fiscal grade’ on HR 5326 is: F -
