Reps. Trent Franks, Paul Gosar speak out in press conference on ‘Fast & Furious’

WASHINGTON, DC — Today over a dozen members gathered to demand accountability and transparency from Attorney General Eric Holder and the Department of Justice for the failed and flawed gun running operation “Fast and Furious”. After months of evasive answers by this administration and those in charge of this program nearly 40 members of the U.S. House, some of whom are participating today, have called for Attorney General Holder’s resignation.

  1. True Conservative says:

Franks was giving a very nice summation of the events (a little biased, but within reason) and was leading to the correct, inescapable conclusion that Holder needs to come clean, and then he blows it.

He just couldn’t resist his own “flouride in the water” moment, as he tried to link Holder’s plan to giving assistance to Iranian terrorist.

As the Christian Science Monitor reports, no meaningful linkage exists between Iran and the Cartels. We do have one instance where a US informant, working undercover with the cartels, happened upon a random request for help, but it is unlikely without that person being on the side of the US, and wanting to help catch a terrorist, the cartels would have engaged the offer.

As you can tell from the article, it just is not worth it for the cartels.

I encourage Rep. Franks to continue his investigation, but also encourage him to cut down on that which he can not prove.
