It figures that Flake would be right there supporting a terrible piece of legislation like this. Goes right along with his illegal alien amnesty legislation which failed to pass. Let’s hope that this measure fails to pass as well and that Flake gets voted to the private sector.
This legislation would put Arizona land in the hands of FOREIGN mining interests.
There would be NO royalties being paid as there are with oil leases on federal land.
Flake was disingenuous in the extreme when he said that he toured the mine and that there were no robots. If things move forward as planned, there WILL be job-stealing robots doing a lot of the work. The featured piece on the SA home page from Gosar’s staff goes into an in depth discussion about the use of robots planned for this mine but Flake seeks to pull the wool over our eyes. Nice try Flake. Busted again!
I just got off the phone with Congressman Flake’s office. His office just confirmed with me that the man who wants to be our next US Senator refuses to endorse Russell Pearce in the recall election.
Flake’s office says that Congressman Flake does not get involved in local matters. I’m not sure if Flake resides in District 18, although I’m pretty sure he does, so it would be a local matter that he as a voter should be getting involved in. I also know for a fact that one of Flake’s brothers-in-law ran against Russell Pearce in a Republican primary a couple years ago.
Refusing to take a stand is just as bad as taking the wrong position. What is it about Russell Pearce that makes it so that Flake feels that he cannot endorse Pearce?
We can now count Flake as firmly in the anti-Russell Pearce & anti-conservative camp. It’s just another reason not to vote for Jeff Flake as he tries to convince us that he deserves a job promotion. The only thing that Flake deserves is retirement.
Hear, hear! Well said, Tyler!
” What is it about Russell Pearce that makes it so that Flake feels that he cannot endorse Pearce?”
More than 10,000 registered voters signed on to recall the career politician known as Pearce.
Pearce is running against a strong conservative known as Jerry Lewis.
It’s lose-lose for Flake endorsing either one.
Quit acting like a child. Just because you don’t get your way doesn’t indicate the world is full of meanies.
ROFL! Lewis is about as “conservative” as you are, TC!
Lewis is SO “conservative” that he supports the “immigration reform” of Obama and Raul Grijalva.
Lewis is SO “conservative” that he states on his website that we need to work with the federal government to secure our borders and enforce the law when that hasn’t happened because Obama refuses to secure our borders and enforce the law.
Lewis is SO “conservative” that he is actively seeking to knock off a sitting Republican State Senator and the President of the Arizona Senate.
Lewis is SO “conservative” that while knowing full well that Democrats in Wisconsin have used and are continuing to use recall elections to knock off sitting Republican State Senators, he is helping them to employ that tactic in Arizona.
Lewis is SO “conservative” that he wants to “help” illegal aliens to “get square with the law”. If illegal aliens really want to “get square with the law” it’s as simple and easy as turning themselves in to Sheriff Arpaio.
And since you yourself are such a “true conservative”, TC, share with us your view of the Southern Poverty Law Center. How do you feel about the fact that the SPLC has labelled the National Organization for Marriage as an “anti-gay” organization?
