Waring Receives Endorsement of Arizona Conference of Police and Sheriffs

Organization for police cites Waring’s “Unwavering Support for Public Safety”

PHOENIX, AZ – Jim Waring, Republican Candidate for Phoenix City Council, today proudly announced that his campaign has been endorsed by the Arizona Conference of Police and Sheriffs (AZCOPS).

Larry Lopez, President of AZCOPS, cited Jim Waring’s “unwavering support for public safety issues.”

“I am very pleased and honored to receive this endorsement,” said Waring. “Public safety has always been a top issue for me in public life, and it will continue to be a top priority for me when I represent my neighbors on the Phoenix City Council.”

Waring has previously received numerous accolades for his work on behalf of public safety. Aside from being a graduate of the Phoenix Citizens’ Police Academy, Waring was the Men’s Anti-Violence Network’s Man of the Year, and authored the state’s toughest DUI laws, which has reduced fatalities related to drinking and driving.

  1. Oberserve says:

Oh for goodness sake. It’s time for Waring to get a REAL JOB in the PRIVATE SECTOR.

What a tired also-ran. Please retire from politics. PLEASE.

  2. Fred says:

Waring has more brains than Oberserve can ever hope to have.
He was robbed in the Congressional race and AZ is the worse for that contest. Jim is the kind of hard-working representative that actually give a shit about his constituents and is willing to work for the pay. Not like those faux conservatives that run their mouths non-stop but never produce any results.
If this is Neelys district, then Oberserve is probably making money off that Fire Union goon that got the appointment, so of course he has a problem with Waring. Any republicans that vote for the Union guy need to change their party because putting that guy on the council only reinforces the whole corrupt Fire Union controlled Cabal that runs City Hall. For those of you that dont know – Every one of the Councilmen is put in office by the Fire Union.

  3. UnionBuster says:

So let me get this straight, the AFL-CIO police union ,which is mainly the Democrat Tucson cops endorsed Jim Waring. So that is the same AFL-CIO that is after Sal DiCiccio and they endorse Jim Waring – so what kind of backroom union deal did Waring cut?
Waring wasn’t robbed in the Congressional race, the voters in CD3 recognized this is a guy who can help himself with a love affair with lots of yard signs with his name on it. His big signs are blank on the bottom for a reason – so he can label over with sign snipes for each new office he runs for.
Waring has an elected official’s pension fetish. He’s never held a real job outside of government.
    Am I wrong?
