Federal agent John Dodson says what he was asked to do was beyond belief.
He was intentionally letting guns go to Mexico?
“Yes ma’am,” Dodson told CBS News. “The agency was.”

MadArizonan almost has the right idea, for the short term. However, the entire southern border must be secured, not just Arizona, and a complete and lasting solution can be started immediately.
1. Declare ALL illegal aliens to be illegal aliens, and then find them, arrest them and deport them. This effort will not cost taxpayers one extra penny.
2. Start construction on a multi-layer wall complex along the ENTIRE border. If we are serious about controlling the border, this has to be accomplished. This physical barrier complex will be reinforced with hi-tech surveillance and manned by permanent Border Patrol assignments along the entire length. This will not cost the American taxpayers one additional penny.
3. Start inspecting border crossers in BOTH directions. That is not being done. Northbound, the smugglers have scouts who watch the traffic patterns at the Ports-of-Entry. They know that when traffic starts to back up, Customs & Border Protection staff are ordered to cease inspections and let the traffic pass with no scrutiny until the backup is alleviated. The smugglers can push their loads into the traffic and just drive across the open border. Southbound traffic is only inspected intermittently, and the smugglers know they have virtually an open door to transport their money and guns south. Continuous inspection will not cost taxpayers one additional penny.
4. Do away with “Immigration Judges” who merely sit in extra-legal pomposity and look for a way to create excuses to allow illegal aliens to stay here in defiance of the laws and our national security.
How can it be cost neutral, you ask? These efforts would cause an immediate wave of self-deportation, if illegals knew they would be deported and never allowed to return. The number of illegals crossing northbound every day would be immediately reduced.
The cost to American taxpayers for the social, legal, welfare and economic burdens imposed by the presence of a growing illegal population would immediately and dramatically decline, allowing those many billions of dollars annually to be applied to protecting and preserving US. Let’s get it done.
Internally, let’s seriously start discussing the elimination of the czars in the White House along with the BATFE, the IRS, the DOEducation, the DOEnergy, the EPA, the FDA, the FCC, and etc-etc-etc.

If Americans refused to obey illegal orders from superiors then there would be less of this abuse. Yes, that would mean personal danger and loss of job, but there’s other work out there that doesn’t require capitulating to wrong. There is also safety in numbers. Why did only ONE agent complain, finally? If the mass of them in solidarity refused, then the tables are turned, the focus would be where it should be – on the colluders in illegality.
By allowing illegality, the corruption degrades law enforcement, degrades political processes, degrades the courts.
No justice, no peace. It is in EVERYONE’s best interests to refuse to cooperate in this.
The Left employs that exact rhetoric but cynically twists the application of it to degrade correct,useful inistitutions and to undermine healthy societal norms.
Don’t you jacka**es get it? This is all about NATIONAL ID AND GUN CONTROL.
But “conservatives” around here think national ids are just grand as long as you git them illegals who cares if you destroy the constitution in the process?
Well it will come around and result in gun registration AS IT ALWAYS DOES.
Well, it has crossed the mind that this was a slimy political means to provide “proof” that US gun shops are sources for Mexican weapons. You know, “fake but accurate.” Last time the claim was brought up the facts quickly disproved it. Maybe THIS time, they wanted to be sure they could produce “evidence.” If so, still wrong and no decent agent should have been part of enabling it.
Two points which must be clarified to get a true picture of the overall issue:
1. Your social security number is, for all practical purposes, a national i.d.card. We don’t need another!
Don’t let anyone con you on that!
2 Governments, from time to time, will conduct “black flag” operartions to enhance the accumulation of power that citizens would be reluctant to hand to bureaucrats (see Patriot Act) at the expense of constitutional liberties.
There would be no more opportune coup for the Ruling Class than to confiscate weapons under the guise of “security” This would explain the official’s admission. Some of those in law enforcement are wise to our “leadership” tactics.
This is an atrocity.
Thousands have been killed.
The Obama administration has committed a crime against humanity, imo.
