  1. The Avenger says:

Now, what is this nonsense about not being able to raise money?

  2. Did you notice the poor AZ GOP picked up three Congressional seats and elected a veto-proof majority in AZ Legislature?

Folks who contribute to the AZ GOP should be forewarned we are very likely to…win.

  3. Ash is right. The win showed how little the power-hungry matter when ordinary people take an interest in their government and pursue their ideals.

  4. debbi samson says:

Mr. Morrissey is the exact opposit of my ‘moral’ ideal. Its funny how everyone keeps overlooking his obvious short comings.

Did any of you ask him about his track record when he was a District Chair? I would be curious just how successful he was at fundraising then.

None of you actually rearched this guy and you should be ashamed of yourself.

With Mr. Morrissey at the helm we now could lose our 2010 gains.

  5. Veritas Vincit says:

@debbi indeed we know his LD20 record and I know of 56 direct votes that came based on his record.

The political elites of Maricopa County will try their usual tactics and run their own fund raising through 1 or 2 county committee’s and attempt to starve out the state GOP in retribution as they tried with Pullen. And, as in 2010, 2012 will only prove how out of touch those political elites really are with the voters.

  6. We now know we can beat McKyl, that is next on the plate.

  7. Pima Cotton says:

    Veritas,

What is the definition of a political elite?

  8. @Sam – You are so naive.

  9. Who said grass root effort doesn’t work? Less than a week to find, vet, promote, vote and win. Great work Precincts. one vote can make a difference.

  10. Veritas Vincit says:

@Pima Cotton … a political elite is someone out of touch with the rank-and-file of their party and, relies on copious and obscene amounts of money to retain their elected positions because if they can’t “Lie and Buy” then they’re all washed up.

There are political elites in both major parties. Examples would be Al Gore and John McCain.

They will proclaim themselves whatever they believe the voters want them to be as long as they have sufficient funds to market themselves accordingly.

They are career politicians and always come with an entourage of consultants, advisors and other assorted wanna-be’s following them is a train. No matter if the “emperor wears no clothes” these wannbes will fawn over their chosen messiah and do whatever they think necessary to curry the nod of favor of their chosen elitist politician or candidate.
