Andrei Cherny’s wife representing La Raza AGAINST Arizona on SB1070 lawsuit

Funny, Democrat candidate for Treasurer Andrei Cherny is trying to sound like he is a Republican concerned about securing the border in his race for State Treasurer. But his wife is working for one of the most radical left wing pro-open borders special interest group in the country, the National Council of La Raza. Here is the front page of a brief she filed as their attorney in the lawsuit against Arizona over SB1070. Her name is listed as one four attorneys on the top left side.

Seems a bit of a contradiction, to have your husband serving as one of the state’s officers while you sue the state? Not to mention the radical positions espoused by La Raza do not represent the majority of Arizonans, who support SB1070.

Comments

  1. Doesn’t she have an ethical conflict re AZ Bar?

  2. What would the conflict be? Her husband has no official position at this point, and even if he’s elected he will have nothing to do with this issue. It’s a good issue to use against him, but I don’t know how or why one would use it against her. She can represent who she wants, even if it is left-wing activist protestors.

  3. Blue Meanie says:

Just goes to show “you can run but you can’t hide.” Cherny is desperately trying to pretend he’s more moderate for the general election, when in reality he’s one of the most radical leftist activists this state has seen. Glad he’s not pulling the wool over anyone’s eyes, the voters are going to soundly defeat him at the polls.

  5. Anyone who has read Cherny’s policy book knows that calling him left-wing is simply factually WRONG. He also prosecuted many immigration cases in the AG’s office. His record on immigration is way better (and more conservative) than Ducey’s. This wouldn’t be the first example of a wife and husband having opposing legal practices–or viewpoints. I know my husband and I don’t agree on lots of things.

  6. Self-fulfillment trumps marriage harmony… unless of course both spouses are in total agreement with La RAZA, so no conflict at all at the dinener table, just HOW to keep it from the public that they believe enabling blatently racist organizations to cry ‘racist’ is A-Okay by them.

  7. This “Andrei is more conservative than Ducey” continues to be spouted by Andrei’s pals. It’s getting old, and it’s absurd on its face. Anyone who knows Andrei’s bio knows it’s absurd. Funny to see everyone running as a conservative this election.
