John McCain backtracks on the 14th Amendment

The difference could not be clearer between John McCain and US Senate candidate, JD Hayworth, on the issue of “birthright citizenship” and the intent of the 14th Amendment.

Behind the scenes, Somos Republicans is pressuring John McCain to stay committed to allowing birthright citizenship.

    Somos Republicanos?

    How about Nosotros Somos Nostrodamos!

    (We are Nostrodamos!)

Seriously, McCain needs no prompting for birthright citizenship or amnesty from left-wing, brown-supremacist nativists who believe that Arizona is part of Aztlan (the mythical land of La Raza), he’s quite capable of carrying the torch of left wing “progress” for the East Coast Establishment all by himself.

    Indeed, it’s his life’s mission!

It wasn’t enough to foist on America the good family man Maobama.

McCain absolutely must give us more good family men and women from third world countries, like MS-13 gang bangers from El Sal, various species of drug dealers, identity thieves, welfare cheats, murderers, etc.

All in the name of diversity and good, family values.

John McShame, McShamnesty, McDang rides again in Maverick glory!

Be vigilant people. That is the price of liberty.

Let’s retire McCain to fish for Crawdads at his Boggy Creek “cabin” up in Sedona.

It’s time for a change. It’s time for JD Hayworth…

  2. LD17 says:

Really. Got proof of these “behind the scenes” shenanigans?

As always, a verifiable, credible source.

The one good thing about J.D. losing will be that he can get his job back on kfyi. Broomhead sucks a fat one.

I like Mike but he seems a little wishy-washy, McCain-esque lately. Like he’s going a little lib on us. What’s up with that?

After JD Hayworth wins, I’d be happy to go to KFYI and do some real traditional conservative radio. Chipolte style!

  5. Ann says:

Y’all must have heard Broomhead tonight… playing the entire McCain quote that blows huge holes in JD’s newest ad.

Ya, he played the ad then played McCain’s full response. Such a manipulation by JD!

So…attack Broomhead. Sure, why not? How transparent you have all become!

Clear Channel will not hire JD back. Broomies ratings are much higher and the audience is a better demographic. (Not just old, retired, angry white people) JD was very limited…think Rob Haney.

Radio owners like sponsors…Mike brings in lots more money than JD could.

I’m thinking JD will be on one of those Internet radio spots, maybe he can share with that bald guy who posts all his clients recorded interviews.

  6. DSW says:

Ah the sin of omission from Team McCain hard at work.

This race is far from over!

  7. Michael Holliday says:

I’ll say it again. I like Mike Broomhead.
I’ve always said he’s one of the most natural talk hosts I’ve ever heard.

I used to call his show all the time when he was at KFNX and rap with him on Saturdays. Then I did a show there for a while.

Cool guy. His late brother’s a true American hero.

Not sure why he’s so McCain’ed out, though.

  9. VSB says:

Republicans wrote the 14th amendment. Republicans should support and defend the 14th amendment.

  10. wanumba says:

If people weren’t very purposefully running here to have babies at our expense then flitting back out, then we wouldn’t be forced to have to look at the amendment.

Remember, there are kids born in the USA, their mothers take them back to their home countries and they are US passport holders, who the State Department MUST evacuate at US government expense if anything goes amiss in their home nation. They aren’t American in anything except their birth certificate, most don’t even speak English. It’s one financial free ride after another that gets worse every year.
There’s a crisis SOMEWHERE around the globe at least once a year, often multiple, that require evacuations so the State Department is always tasked with sending out the MARINES to put their lives on the line to SAFELY collect and transport Americans who can’t speak English and have no cultural affinity or LOYALTY for this nation, with costs that add hundreds of millions to our usual bills.
That’s just the LEGAL portion of the anchor births, the lesser part of the financial drain of the ILLEGAL entry and anchor baby deliberate practice.
With so many people around the world abusing our generosity, it’s not our fault we have to find solutions before the system collapses under the stress. Foreigners won’t voluntarily stop their abuses, so we have to be the ones to restore a national sanity to the process.

  11. Alex V says:

Broomy has always been RINO. He brings up McDeakin every chance he gets. Broomhead did get a little religion on illegal immigration after SB 1070 – Brewer Syndrome.

  12. Stephen Kohut says:

    Alex V,

What a novel thought. Talking about all the candidates in a race. Should Broomy be in the bag for just one of them? How would you feel if that one as McCain?

  13. DSW says:

All fairness to Mike Broomhead, he has tried to be fair to all candidates although he overcompensates on occasion which throws listeners off.

I do have to joke though. He really ought to be pushing JD Hayworth or he may be out of his afternoon drive time slot come August 25th!

In seriousness, we hope to get JD elected to the Senate so we can finally have someone who won’t poke us in the eye or stab us in the back.

  14. Jacklyn M. says:

Having Broomhead on when he is means I can listen to KFYI again on my way home. The Anti-McCain (JD Hayworth) show got really old, really quickly. I for one am looking forward to JD getting [politicially] blown to bits in less than a week, and hopefully so much so, I won’t have to listen to his used-car salesman sleaze any more, on any medium.

  15. LD17 says:

“In seriousness, we hope to get JD elected to the Senate so we can finally have someone who won’t poke us in the eye or stab us in the back.”

Hope all you want. Hope springs eternal…away from JD Hayseed, who will never win another elected seat.

  16. Llano Estacado says:

Exactly how stupid do you have to be to NOT see that almost everything McCain does is to benefit the Democraps? Of course he’s doing his conservative shtick! Have you been in Arizona two weeks and never seen the act before? He GAVE the presidency to Obama in 2008. So now somebody with a record of opposing illegal aliens is in the race and you slobber all over the wonderful war-hero and his newfound conservatism. Hey, being a war hero is very noble, but it does NOT make him a conservative. Did you forget the photos where he lounged in Keating’s Bahamas pool while Keating robbed the savings of Arizonans? I should have known from Napolitano’s success here that Arizona LOVES getting screwed, but is it too much to ask that you remember the rest of the country also suffers from his schmoozing with the left? His screwy ideas (hey, let’s put a big fat tax on vitamins and supplements! Brilliant, John, especially with that wonderful healthcare we’re getting! Very conservative!) sometimes do make it into legislation. Give us a break, will ya?

Oh, before you tell me to mind my own business – I spent my first 30 years in Arizona. I helped with McCain’s campaign for Congress when I was a sophomore at ASU. What I saw then up close and personal told me all I ever needed to know about McCain’s character (or rather, lack thereof).

I escaped three years ago when the handwriting was on the wall, just as the economic results of Demcraps and RINO leadership kicked in. The illegals had already trashed the neighborhoods bordering mine (thanks, Gascan, wish you’d just gone straight to where you fit in and left Mesa alone). Old, retired, angry white people? I felt that way when I was 21. Of course, the way you write, Ann, makes me think you might consider 21

  17. Llano Estacado says:

(cont, sorry, hit the accidentlally) you might consider 21 as being old…

  18. Kathy says:

Michelle Malkin has an article where McCain is blaming the “East” media on his flip-flops!!!! Great reading – for the TRUTH about McCain.

  19. RonJ says:

“Under the Constitution at this time clearly they should”? Is John McCain out of his mind? (Alright, I know that’s a rhetorical question.) There is nothing in the 14th Amendment that says a person born here of illegal parentage is automatically a citizen by birth. JD is exactly correct. Too bad all you McCain sychophants don’t understand simple English and the original intent of the Constitution and its Amendments. Please take the time to do some research and stop listening to morons who don’t have a clue (i.e. McCain).

    ……………….

Someone just read the 14th Amendment off to me, followed with exactly what you just said.
Poeple will argue that’s how it should be interpreted, but it’s not there.

You actually harbor prejudice against farmers, who produce everything you eat?

  22. LD17 says:

    LOL!

  23. wanumba says:

Given what the Liberals tell us we can’t say anymore because we have to be “sensitive” and “considerate” of “differences,” I was just surprised that “hayseed” as a dismissive was still allowed in progressive, educated circles. I mean, if you went down to Mexico and strolled up to a peasant farmer and called him a “hayseed,” after the interpreter finished conveying the sense, the peasant would punch you. In Somali, the farmer would punch you and call his entire clan back from pirating, swarm you and hold you hostage for a million bucks to pay off the insult.
You could get it whittled down to two sheep and a 50 kg bag of rice, with a contrite attitude and a good local cross-cultural advisor who would inform you that calling people names isn’t diplomatic.

  24. Rebekah says:

THE LACK OF MORAL INTEGRITY TAKES A TOLL ON A POLITICAL CANDIDATE. JD, THIS IS CALLED KARMA FOR YOUR PATHETIC LIES AND CORRUPT PAST. GOODBYE.

  25. wanumba says:

So, what does that bode for McCain, who’s BOASTED about his lack of moral integrity, with more years in office to show for it, too?
    Karma-wise that is?

  26. Steve Calabrese says:

I think that George Will was right when he said “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” is a very important phrase in the 14th. It allows us to exclude illegal aliens by statute if need me.

Let’s all take a moment and remember Matt Salmon was one of the first people to talk about this issue, and was largely ignored by many. He saw what was coming.

I have to admit, I was in favor of birthright citizenship for a long time. I always felt that there was some sacred and special about American soil, and that if I a person was here, that was that. But, it’s clear that this is something that has been too badly abused and is something we can no longer afford – and under the 14th, we DON’T have to.

  27. wanumba says:

It was very difficult to abuse birthright citizenship two hundred years ago when it was a weeks-long sea voyage to get here, or an arduous and hazardous desert trek to cross the border. Now, it’s 9 hours pretty much anywhere Europe to fly to the USA, less from South AMerica, or a morning car drive on good roads into Tucson or San Diego. Foreign women can arrive, give birth and depart with a kid and a blue passport in two weeks flat, most of which is waiting for the expediated passport.

It’s being totally abused by foreigners, from every country on the planet, but in highest numbers by Mexicans. Too too easy, with not a shred of concern about our national integrity and the financial burdens this activity creates.
