ProLife Arizona, the new prolife organization in Arizona, has just released the results of its candidate surveys. ProLife Arizona was started by former Arizona Right to Life PAC Chair David Roney, as a result of detrimentally misleading endorsements coming from another prolife organization regarding Arizona races. ProLife Arizona rates candidates solely based on their actual prolife positions, and not political influence, nor contributions. “I was very disappointed when another Arizona prolife organization endorsed John McCain over JD Hayworth, as well as their choices in a few other races. “John McCain has championed taxpayer-funded embryonic stem cell research, which is abhorrent to the prolife community. JD Hayworth is a far better choice for the unborn, ” ProLife Arizona Chairman David Roney said. “It was just time for an organization to provide facts to the public so voters can make their own decisions.”
ProLife Arizona is composed of mostly former leadership from Arizona Right to Life. Any candidate for office in Arizona who has not yet taken the survey can get it on the website, ProLifeArizona.com.

I am not surprised that Thayer Verschoor scored 100% on your survey. He has a perfect voting record on pro life issues and the CAP voter guide will also back it up. Even the “other guys” that passed on endorsing a true conservative in his race acknowledge that he has an A rating on pro life and pro family issues. His rating as Champion of the taxpayer from AFP speaks volumes about conservative traits. Verschoor for State Treasurer.
Any interesting question is how many people involved with this group are paid staffers or consultants for candidates this group has endorsed. This group is non-transparent in its membership other than David Roney’s involvement.
As far as we know, this group could consist of David Roney as the front man and employees of the endorsed candidates. For example, how many people involved with this group are paid staffers of J.D.? If the answer is greater than zero this group as no credibility in its Senate endorsement.
@ Questions:
The candidates provided their own answers, so Margaret Sanger and Obama could be on the Board and it wouldn’t make any difference. If you looked at the results and the ratings, it is crystal clear that there is zero place for bias from anyone in the organization, thus your challenge to the organization’s integrity is unfounded. Further, we have made zero endorsements, so your accusation that we endorsed JD Hayworth is again unfounded. You might just inform yourself before speaking out, albeit anonymously.
All the best,
David
I’m so glad there is a new prolife group! Mr. Roney, don’t worry about McCain’s people, like Questions, attacking you, that’s all know. Everybody knows that McCain donates thousands to AZ Right to Life, and that it’s PAC members did paid legal work for McCain. McCain can’t hold a candle to Hayworth regarding being prolife, and everyone knows that too. Keep up the good work!
David ,
To quote your press release above, “J.D Hayworth is a far better choice for the unborn.” You may try to parse the words but that statement is an endorsement of J.D.
For the other races, I will admit, you only provide information, but you clearly endorse J.D. in the press release above. So again, who are the members of this organization that endorsed J.D.? Are J.D. staffers members of this group or is this group a one-man band?
@ Questions:
The survey results are what they are, as filled out by the candidates themselves. Hayworth has the best rating in the Senate race. No one in our organization gave him that rating, Jim Deakin and John McCain did. I wish Senator McCain had taken the time to complete our survey, but he chose not too. He still can, by the way.
The people who worked on this with me helped only to clarify questions, acquire campaign contact information, and spread the word. I am the only member with access to the data, and I have never been the paid staffer of any campaign in my life. In addition, no employee or member of my company has ever done business with any of the candidates for US Senate.
I hope that helps.
Best,
David
John McCain regularly contributes $5,000/year to Arizona Right to Life, is the incumbent in this race, and is very influential. Therefore, he is the best candidate to endorse. His advocacy for embryonic stem cell research is not important, it’s just a small detail. Prolife Arizona needs to endorse John McCain as the most qualified.
It’s all about the money not the issue. Who cares what his position is on abortion as long has he gives money. He has screwed over Arizona countless time, is week on conservative issues and an admitted liar. But let’s overlook all that as long as his money keeps coming in. After all character counts and $15 million buys a lot of character.

JD gets my vote.
Wait a minute. This person sent out candidate surveys but is not going to make endorsements?
Why?
Shouldn’t the results speak for themselves?
I’m from the new group Sonoran Allies and I endorse John MCain.
I sent out surveys and all of them came back in support of John McCain.
I am also the head of the largest Tea Party (in my hous) and I endorse John McCain.
I can’t wait for August 24th!
Signed,
Schmavis
LOL! Hayworth is great at getting endorsements from fake PAC’s….

Whoa. Condescending bully going after two Republicans, pulling the logical fallacy military card out to claim a moral authority he doesn’t have, and was actually arguing to undermine.
Geez wanumba – Did you actually say something?
I can’t tell.
You prove that every comment.
I LOVE Prolife Arizona! Thank you for posting the questionaire answers and giving me the opportunity to make my choices based on my own endorsements! Endorsements shouldn’t be about money, friendships (or hostage-ships)but about principals and ideals! Way to go!!
