Hahahaha! Jim Ward is such a joke. Who does he really think he is?
When Jim Ward was still living in San Francisco, he flew to Arizona and met with State Republican Party Chairman Randy Pullen a year ago to ask him which district he should move into to run for Congress. He doesn’t know anything about Arizona’s District 5. He thinks he can buy the seat by attacking David Schweikert. It’s insulting Schweikert has served Arizona for years both as a small businessman and as State Legislator and County Treasurer. I don’t think this seat should be bought by a San Francisco carpetbagger. He needs to run for office in San Francisco, not here.
He waltzes into the district, puts up oversized illegal signs everywhere in Scottsdale showing how little knowledge and respect he has for our District, and then starts campaigning with RINO John McCain’s team. That’s an easy VOTE NO ON JIM WARD.
I won’t vote for any candidate who stoops that low with the vicious attacks. David Schweikert is a decent, hard-working, conservative principled guy. For Jim Ward to stoop to sleazy tactics like that is despicable. They must use campaign tactics like that in California and he needs to move back there.
Jim Ward is plastic, fake & would lose to “Hometown Harry”! We don’t need that!!!
Once again the Ward campaign is at it. If he his high dollar advisers could let him know that he is already doing a classic John Mcain move accept he has it out of order. He is supposed to act more conservative during the election & then go to DC & flip flop. He has it all backwards. Letting us know about his liberal views now isn’t good. Someone needs to tell him to figure it out and give it up! See everyone Aug 24!

I voted for Schweikert.
How many months ago did Ward move here, little over a year ago? Last time I checked Schweikert lived his entire life here and has been involved in decisions for the County and State of AZ which have resulted in revenue, even having a small business IN THE STATE OF ARIZONA.
Ward, money can’t buy experience. Why don’t you put in a few more months of actually living in the district in which you are running for. Better yet, why don’t you go back to your home in SF and run there? Why, because they won’t elect you there either.

Jim Ward is showing his true colors (blue) and attacking David Schweikert by playing loose with the facts. He also does not appear to meet the claim of being a businessman who would bring jobs to Arizona. His own ads should reflect that is is a VENTURE CAPITALIST of a California company for the last few years, and they invest primarily in West Coast companies. Look it up on the Internet, I did!

Compare David’s Schweikert’s knowledge and understanding of the Constitution with anyone’s. That’s what we need in DC.
I think some of these posting are a bit mean spirited against Jim, sounds like he did well with his company inside that industry. However, have you ever watched someone come into your company at a level of power and not know a thing about your organization? It takes at least 6 months to a 1 year if they don’t get fired first. We don’t have that time to spare. My fear is that Jim not knowing politics nor the state of Arizona would be effective and the people that he is going to have to rely on are strangers to me. I know that although David is not a career politician, he has been effective in every role he’s been in government and he’s a businessman. I want someone that can hit the ground running. I just don’t see that possible for Jim.
What we need in many more David Schweikerts in Congress. We can make fun of Jim Ward all we want. (and it is fun) But this is serious folks, this is our country.We need a Congressperson with backbone and ethics to stand up in Congress and fight for freedom. That is David Schweikert.

I have heard Jim Ward speak and when he goes to explain why he is running it is all about that he is a businessman and can run a business. He uses the word “I” more than the president. Ask David why he is running?

Jim Ward may be a good businessman…I don’t know. I do know that he’s new to Arizona. Why would I trust him? I know David Schweikert’s record, and I’m glad he’s on our (Arizona’s) “team”! He is a true Conservative, and fiscally, a genius. We’re lucky to have him!

Okay, I know many Schweikert supporters are on this, but for all you Ward supporters, please give me a reason I should vote for him. I have seen a million reasons to vote for Schweikert, matter of fact every time I see him speak he gives me another reason to vote for him. Every time I read one of these blogs, I see another reason to vote for him. All the Ward supporters can say is that Ward should win because he is a businessman, and Schweikert lost already. UH? Seriously? So, I run a small business, should I run for congress based on that? But wait, Jim didn’t even run his own business, he ran someone else’s.. Ward did not do well at Lucas Arts. His own employees did a petition to run him out of the company.
Gamers hate him. His old company is struggling to relaunch many of the projects he cancelled, because they angered a lot of customers when they implemented his decisions.
When both your customers and your employees hate you, you’re doing something wrong. Now he wants to be our Congressman – really, he wants to be IN CONGRESS, he doesn’t care WHERE he is elected, just that he gets elected.
Ward thinks we’re stupid. We need to prove him wrong by sending him packing.

i am proud to call myself david schweikert’s friend and one of his supporters. he understands capital formation and how jobs are created. he understands the importance of a tax structure that promotes instead of punishes growth. he has spoken specifically about his plan for reducing the country’s debt and spending. as far as economic knowledge goes, i’d put him up against anyone out there running for congress anywhere. i really don’t have anything to say about jim ward except his inaccurate and continuing attacks on schweikert have rendered him irrelevant to the process. he has nothing left but a chance to retain at a minumum only the semblance of character by supporting schweikert in the general against harry mitchell.

I am pretty sure Schweikert doesn’t have time to post messages.. I think he might be too busy winning an election, talking to voters, and making appearances. But hey, that’s just me. I can promise you my name is not David, nor am I related to him, nor am I on his payroll.. Also, he did not ask/tell me to post anything on here.
If you want to know what David Schweikert is really like, just read all of the hack comments above. This is what he’s like.
If you come from California, have family roots here and want to run for Congress because you are good at fixing things and understand conservative values, I would vote for you.
If you have lived here all your life and done nothing but run for one office after another with no regard for civility and have a reputation of losing elections because you’re a dirty campaigner, I wouldn’t vote for you.
That’s why I would not vote for Schwiekert, but will be voting for Jim Ward.

His own words on immersion and fair trade sink him in my book. He is way liberal on those issues. His ideas on immersion/immigration are the same as Pres. Obama. Unbelievable this really is the age of insanity!! Our country is broken and we are on a slippery slope towards socialism and a loss of freedom of gargantuan proportions. And Jim Ward has the nerve to mud sling a hands-on conservative who has results and experience!! This kind of bashing when the Republican party should show some solidarity at least on the issue of personal attacks and distinguish themselves on issues and not go to negative, personal campaigning. Of course, David’s team had to fight back, they can’t let lies and deceipt rule the day any longer, that is not the same as what Jim Ward did. His mailing was atrocious, with his name all over the front and the inside all negative and personal about David. Seriously folks, insanity is ruling the day!! I am not paid by Schweikert’s team, I was a registered Democrat, probably should have been an Independent, did not vote Obama by the way, and have voted mostly republican for the last several elections. I switched party allegiance, researched the candidates and found David on my own! I agree with a poster who said we need more Davids across the country! Vote David!!! He is the only republican candidate that can beat Mitchell this fall!! And the only truly conservative candidate on the primary ballot for our district.
If you want to know what Schweikert is really like, “Scweikert is a Political Hack”, why don’t you ask people who have known him all of his life. You can ask all of the people he went to grade school and High school with here in CD5 in the Scottsdale Public School System. You can ask all of the people that worked with him in his first jobs washing dishes at the Windmill Dinner Theater (remember THAT landmark) or at the PV Country Club where he parked cars. Ask the folks down at the Arizona Right to Life who were with him when he was a young child with his family marching to keep abortion illegal and where he still helps support the sanctity of life! Maybe you could ask the thousands of people in the local Catholic Church who have seen him weekly since he was a boy or his fellow Knights of Columbus. You might want to ask all of the people he went to undergrad and graduate school right here in Tempe at ASU what he was like while studying and working hard selling Real Estate. Ask the good folks of Fountain Hills what he is really like since he has lived there his entire adult life. Ask all of the people who worked with him in the State Legislature where he started consistently showing his true conservative colors and was the Majority Whip Leader (I think the youngest in the country). You could ask all of the folks down at the Capital where he proudly served as the Maricopa County Treasurer or maybe ask all of the folks that voted for him. Why don’t you ask all of the volunteers who work tirelessly with him on the campaign and who all maintain that he is an honest, conservative and great man! Better yet, ask Joyce his incredibly wonderful wife what David is really like or ask his family. They would all tell you that they don’t make them like David…. that David is an unbelievably tireless, hard working person who is passionate about Arizona, our Country and our freedom! He is devoted and incredibly grounded… not to mention, his conservative record is stellar! Pick up the phone and call him at his home phone number and ask David yourself about David.. 480-659-9383!!
If David has polls that show that Jim is so far behind (only getting 700 votes, etc.) then why doesn’t he just release the polls?
Early on at a Fountain Hills Republican Forum, Schweikert, Ward and Wnuck pledged not to go negative during the campaign; they further pledged to support whomever won the primary in August. So who was the first to smear a fellow candidate? Jim Ward. What good is his word?
WHAT’S WRONG? WARD’S WORD! Jim Ward had promised to run a clean anti-Mitchell campaign. Now he’s soiling himself by slinging mud at Schweikert. Shame on Jim the Lying Carpetbagger. He’s lost my vote.

Unfortunately, Schweikert has found a way to make enough money in foreclosed homes that he can fund his wildly negative and personal campaign again.
Ward may have not gone to elementary school here, but he is a smart business man who relates well to people and others want to work with him. The same cannot be said about Schweikert.

I’ve known David for 43 years and can tell you he is also a smart business man who would give the shirt off of his back for others. People love working with him and for him! He should be very proud he is involved in buying up foreclosed homes, taking them off of the banks hands, fixing them up and renting them to families affordably. He is rejuvinating whole neighborhoods, employing many people and helping boost the economy!

The way I see it, Ward was the first to sling mud. He did so a few times before schwiekert slung back. If Ward wasn’t persistent, Schwiekert could have let it slide. Any good strategist will tell you that if Ward keeps slinging and Schwiekert does nothing, Schwiekert looks bad. I hate to say it this way but Ward started it. All of the attacks have been started by Ward and Salvino on Schwiekert. It is obvious that Ward and Salvino know who is going to win.
Ward relates well to people…Are you kidding? I have met him and when I asked not a tough question, he got bullying and tried to intimidate me. Invaded my person space, name dropped and said he would force them to change as he had done in Hollywood. Big bad queston I asked? How would he go about changing the entrenched bureaucrats in Washington? Jim does not have a clue.
Otasan, Ward needs to do his own polls and he can release the info if Ward is leading Schweikert. Why should Schweikert pay for and provide info for Jim Ward.

Schweikert is the winner, how do I know. Because the other candidates are attacking him. You do not attack the people behind you, only those out in front.
